I whipped up KYR stats for three legends and figured I'd share them here.
Lou Thesz
Whenever historians list wrestling’s all-time greatest mat technicians, Lou Thesz is usually placed in the “number one” slot… and for good reason. He single-handedly unified the major championships, becoming the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Bill Longson (1948), Orville Brown (by forfeit, 1949), Gorgeous George (1950), and Baron Michele Leone (1952). He was also unbeaten as a champion for close to eight years, from 1948 to 1956.
His longevity is nearly as legendary as his prowess in the ring, given that he wrestled during seven (that’s right – seven!) different decades. His first match was in 1932 and his final match was in 1990.
Even by the time wrestling made its way to television, Lou Thesz was a seasoned veteran and was something of an ambassador of the sport. In the ring, he moved about the ring like a panther stalking its prey and was able to use virtually any style of wrestling to score the victory over his opponents. Outside the ring, Thesz’s demeanor has been referred to as “quiet dignity”. He didn’t brag, yell, threaten, or go ballistic during interviews; he always maintained a calm, confident attitude that gave him an aura of true class.

Killer Kowalski
The intimidating man known as Killer Kowalski began his wrestling career in 1947. In the years to come, he terrorized his opponents, mauling them relentlessly with his superior size and strength. While he was known for using “rough house” tactics, Kowalski would often surprise his foes with a standing dropkick or a flying knee drop.
Probably the most notorious indication of Kowalski’s viciousness revolves around his match with Yukon Eric on October 15, 1952. During that match, Kowalski literally ripped Eric’s ear from his head with a flying knee drop. This incident led to his acquisition of the “Killer” moniker that would soon define his career.
During his storied career, Kowalski held many titles, including the NWA Texas Heavyweight Title (1950), Central States Heavyweight Title (1951), NWA Pacific Coast Tag Team Titles (with Hans Herman, 1951), the AWA/IWA World Heavyweight Title (8 times, between 1952 and 1962), WWWF United States Tag Team Titles (with Gorilla Monsoon, 1963), NWA American Heavyweight Title (1972), and numerous others.

“Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers
Long before Ric Flair adopted the “Nature Boy” nickname, there was a man named Buddy Rogers. He was one of the most imitated and influential wrestlers the sport had ever seen. And he was never shy about telling you so.
Rogers was as well known for his arrogant attitude than his in-ring abilities. That’s certainly not an insult to his considerable wrestling talent… it’s just that his colossal ego overshadowed everything else. From his distinctive strut to his disdainful sneer, the Nature Boy was a mountain of cockiness.
Despite having held numerous championships during the course of his career, it was his NWA World Heavyweight title win over Pat O’Connor in 1961 that he’s most known for. In fact, many historians rank that as one of the best matches of all time.
Another claim to fame is that Rogers was the very first WWWF World Heavyweight Champion. That organization would later be renamed WWF and even later, WWE.
His WWWF title reign may have been short lived, but there’s no denying the Nature Boy’s greatness. Like he always said, “If you want the best, you’ve gotta get Rogers to fit the bill.”
