I went on ahead and bought Wrestlings Finest. ( www.geocities.com/tvwf2002/tvwMain.html ) I gotta say....wow....it only took me about a day of practice before I could start using the advanced rules.....and I am VERY impressed. There is so many "little things" in the game....complex? yes.....but the complexity is not that bad...why? it just makes sense. I have run 4 matches so far, just learning the game engine, and how it works.... Frank Gotch bt. George Hackenschmidt in a scientific match at 46:12 via an inside cradle Sting and Ric Flair (heel) went to a 45 minute time limit draw Randy Savage bt. Ricky Steamboat @ 22:30 via a suplex Ric Flair (face) bt. Harley Race in a BLOODY cage match @ 30:18 via a vertical suplex The Flair-Race match was THE BEST match i have had so far....that match really showed what the game engine is capable of....just an awesome experience and match. I was literally exhausted after the match...it was that intense. The flow of the game is superb...and after a few actual full matches (using the advanced rules), I can pretty much do a match without looking at the rules....so, the complexity of the game hasn't had any ill effects on me and my enjoyment of the game...instead, I think it adds to my experience with the game. The game is directed towards wrestling from the 70's and 80's (even though, there are still current wrestlers in the game). There is just so much in the game...and it simply amazes me that it works as well as it does. Very smooth, and very good..... Chris

Just a little write up of my Race-Flair cage match....this will be the only match i post here, as I don't want to overstep my bounds posting like this about another wrestling game on the boards....so, admins...if you want to delete this post, go ahead....hopefully, though, this is ok....
many of you may like this game already....
Starcade 83 saw Ric Flair defeat NWA World Champion, Harley Race, inside a Steel Cage. This was Flair’s 2nd NWA World Title. I decided to recreate the match between these two legends…
I was using the rules that if there was excessive bleeding, the referee would stop the match….
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Harley Race
Steel Cage Match
60 Time Limit
The match started off with Classic Vintage Flair doing his strutting in the ring, and giving Harley Race the “Whoooo!!!!”. This seemed to rattle Race a bit, as he charged Flair, but Flair countered and grinded Race’s face across the cage wall, opening up a slight cut on Race’s forehead. Race quickly returned the favor with interest, though, as he slammed Flair’s face into the cage wall, opening up a large gash above Flair’s right eye. Race went on to totally dominate Ric Flair for the rest of the opening 10 minutes (nearly bringing Flair to his 3rd stamina level before the 1st 10 minutes had passed).
Blood continued to be the order for the next 10 minutes, as Race simply pummeled Flair, using the cage as a weapon over and over again. Flair’s forehead was ripped open after Race grinded the Nature Boy’s forehead across the cage wall. But, the blood only seemed to drive the frenzy in Race to issue more pain, and make Flair drink more of his own blood, smashing Flair again into the cage wall, bloodying Flair’s nose. Flair somehow fought back and gained control. Flair then reached into his trunks and pulled out a roll of quarters, but Race ducked the swing from the blinded-by-blood Flair, and once again grinded Flair’s head across the cage wall. Race climbed the buckles, but missed his flying headbutt, allowing Flair to rip open Race’s forehead across the cage. Flair, sensing the weakness in Race, locked on the Figure 4. The match entered the 20 minute mark with Race locked in Flair’s classic Figure 4.
Race was somehow able to reach the ropes and cause the referee to break the Figure 4, but Flair would not let up. Flair maintained control of the match, hitting Race with chops, punches, kicks and suplexes. Finally, after two vertical suplexes, Race’s shoulders were pinned to the mat for the 3 count.
Result: Ric Flair defeats Harley Race inside a Cage via a vertical suplex @ 30:18
Flair’s Stamina Off: -352
Race’s Stamina Off: -262
Flair’s Cut Info: -80
Race’s Cut Info: -50

just gotta post this one....
Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan, No DQ / No Countout / No Time Limit
The dream match...the match that pretty much everyone that watched wrestling in the 80's wanted to see....the Clash of the Titans....Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan.
There WILL be a winner.
Hogan and Flair traded moves to start out, getting a feel for each other, but Hogan gained control, as the fans got his blood pumping. Hogan nailed Flair with some punches, kicks, and two bodyslams. A powerful shoulder block put Flair to the mat. Flair fought back, though, taking Hogan to the outside where he busted Hogan’s forehead open with a slight cut via a chairshot. Flair slid back inside the ring, where he continued his attack, hitting some chops, two suplexes, then some more chops, before tossing Hogan back outside the ring. Flair followed the Hulkster to the outside, where he battered Hogan on the arena floor, before running Hogan into the announcers table, causing a cut across the bridge of Hogan’s nose. As the 10 minute announcement aired across the PA system, Flair landed another suplex, followed up with slamming Hogan’s head into the turnbuckles.
Flair continued his relentless assault with chops, punches, kicks and a suplex. Flair felt the time was right, and went for the Figure 4, locking it in tight!! Hogan, crying out in pain, sweat beading across his bloody forehead, barely made it to the ropes to break the hold. Flair continued, but Hogan countered a Flair punch…Hogan nails a bodyslam!! Hogan went for a kick to Flair’s gut, but Flair countered the kick with a punch to Hogan’s jaw., but Hogan shook it off and sent Flair reeling with a Hogan punch. Hogan quickly picked Flair up and sent him to the mat via another bodyslam. Hogan nailed Flair with some forearms, then climbed the 2nd buckle for an attempted falling shoulder block, but Flair moved out of the way, sending Hogan crashing to the mat!! Hogan blocked a head smash into the buckles, and smashed Flair’s head into the buckles instead, and then tossed Flair to the outside. Hogan motioned that he was going to send Flair into the announcers table. As Flair begged for mercy at ringside, he caught Hogan off guard with an eye poke, then hurled Hogan onto the arena floor. Flair tossed Hogan back inside, then went for a small package, but Hogan broke out of the pin, and capitalized on a Flair mistake, hoisted the Nature Boy up, then back down for the big bodyslam, followed up with the big Leg Drop!! One…Two…No!!! JJ Dillon was calling to the back for some back up, as Arn Anderson rushed out and yanked the referee out of the ring, breaking the count!! Hogan, now pissed about the outside interference, set Flair up for a piledriver, but Flair countered. Flair then reddened the chest of Hogan with some vintage Flair chops. Hogan countered back with another bodyslam, but missed the Leg Drop. Flair quickly locked on the Figure 4 once more, this time forcing the Hulkster to submit.
After the match, Ric Flair went on the assault once more, swearing he was going to end the career of Hulk Hogan!! Out from the back rush Sting, Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA, Bob Backlund & Bruno Sammartino!! Following them, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Ole & Gene Anderson also ran out!! All hell breaks lose, as everyone brawls all the way back to the locker rooms!!!!
Results: Ric Flair forces Hulk Hogan to submit to the Figure 4 @ 22:54
Hogan Stamina Off: -163 Flair Stamina Off: -145
(Great match….4 ½ stars / 5 stars. This is what wrestling is all about….2 greats in the ring, proving just who is supreme. Hogan had Flair pinned with the Slam and Leg Drop earlier, but Flair played a strategy card that allowed outside help….which meant that Arn Anderson distracted the ref, breaking up the count. Just a great match….even a little bit better than the Race-Flair cage match….)
