for the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube any good. I have only tried a couple of them and never really got into the Yukes engine. I hear some are doing better than I remember. I loved the old aki stuff on the n64 but only liked Def Jam so-so. I think its all too arcade with all the over selling of some stuff I see in the WWE games. Also has anyone played any Rumble Roses and if so how is it? Im up for anythingt at this point. I just imported 2 copies of Virtual Pro wrestling 2 for me and my buddy which is gonna own ;D but I need a fixing of some nextgen stuff as well unless it all still sucks. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks

RingsYde has said good things about Day of Reckoning 2 for Cube; I'll probably pick that up next week (ships 8/30, I believe) regardless. Last year's Day of Reckoning wasn't terrible (like WMXIX was the year before) either. Smackdown vs. Raw may be he best bet for PS2, while the Xbox RAW games have all stunk up the place from what I've heard.
As far as Rumble Roses goes... you'd have to be very desprate at this point. We've looked at it, and ultimately decided against it once we learned that there was no create-a-wrestler.

To be fair, Raw 2 had some of the best ideas I have EVER seen, wrapped in the buggiest match engine ever.
And Jakks/THQ and everyone involved keep moving AWAY from those awesome innovations, like multiplayer storymode, the ability to add your own theme music and the like.

Smackdown Here Comes the Pain is the best of the PS2 licensed wrestling titles because of its roster, gameplay, ring physics and countering system.
Day of Reckoning 2 (what I was able to play) really impressed me. I think the game is very good because of the gameplay and exhaustion features, not to mention some of the best graphics in a wrestling game to-date.
XBOX owners are screwed . . . BUT . . . .REJOICE BROTHERS!! Yukes' Wrestle Kingdom is coming to the U.S. in 2 forms; The popular Japanese version featuring Muta, Chono, Tenzan and others (likely "Americanized" with name changes and new appearances) and its North American cousin, better known as Smackdown (it'll have a new name). The problem is that these will both be XBOX 360 titles. The only good wrestling game on the current XBOX is Def Jam Fight for New York. Both RAW and all three Legends of Wrestling games had horrible engines, and Wrestlemania 21 is an insult to wrestling fans everywhere.
Smackdown vs. RAW 2006, the aforementioned Wrestle Kingdom games, Rockstar/Aki's non-licensed game all look to be great next-gen prospects.
