Yeah I had a buddy of mine get a early copy of it last thursday, I really like it. I think they did a great job with the running game this year. You really get rewarded for your patience in finding the gaps. Took me a bit to get use to the new buttons but i'm slowly figuring them out. We just started a dynasty and in season recruiting is definately a nice touch as is academic prestige.

Got it . . . .
Playing it . . . . .
. . . . LOVING IT!!!
This game makes me feel better about not ordering or playing Madden until the XBox 360 version arrives in November. I could be satisfied with this for some time to come.

I just finished playing Michigan against Oklahoma. Lee Corso put on the Sooners helmet and predicted a win, so I made it my mission to beat the crap out of them.
By the end of the third quarter, the score was Michigan-29, Oklahoma-41.
I won the game with a last second field goal that put the score at Michigan-45, Okahoma-44. The source of the fourth quarter turn-around was the awesome running game that I developed in the final minute of the third and carried all the way to the finish. Both defenses sustained some key injuries, so the score got a little high. Man, if you don't tackle a guy full-on, he'll leave you in the dust.
The speed of the game has improved, the passing is more crisp and the running game is simply amazing. This is so much better than last year, it's almost a crime.

I'm going to get it some time this week. NCAA Football has always been my favorite sports game.

Yeah, I've got to grab this one soon. Like Joe, it's been my favorite sports game for years.
For those who have it, are you playing the PS2 version? Are there any known differences between platforms?

I have the ps2 version. Haven't played the xbox version yet, I only notice a little slowdown every once in a while and thats usually only on kick returns but it to me happens about once every 5 games so its no big thing. I definately love the game, haven't really found sliders i'm comfortable with yet. It seems good though how the good teams you play are completely a different ball game than the bad, who seem to be pretty god awful. I heard on the xbox version like last year for some reason it seems receivers tend to drop more passes but who knows.

All I know is Mike Hart is a freaking beast on this game. 698 yards and 13 TD's in two games so far vs. NI and ND. And I play on the All-American level.
HUGE props for EA for name filling. I named about 125 real guys and there were still thousands without one...that used to really drive me crazy....
so that's a big THUMBS UP from me on that new option.

Not sure if you guys care but I got one of those max drives for ps2 its pretty easy to use and its only about 20 bucks. The sole purpose I bought it for was college football every year since there are always people who name every player in the game. Then the max drive lets you download the save file from the comp to the memory card, really simple. The D-one A rosters are done, they are working on historics now.

Mike M., I'm an XBox fan and my brother's a PS2 ultra-loyalist. We played on both systems to keep things fair (some people will never get used to any other controller than the dual shock). We both agreed that both games are fairly close, but the XBox version loads faster and plays with no bothersome slowdowns. Bottom line, you get a pretty phenomenal football game either way you go.
