Total Extreme Wrestling ~ 1983 Scenario Mod

Has anyone ever checked out Adam Ryland's pc simulator game, Total Extreme Wrestling (TEW)?

I bought it several months back....but i just very recently discovered a mod for it: 1983

This mod starts up in August 1983....with over 480+ workers....plus, most all of the promotions (that's right....you can play as Mid Atlantic, Florida, CWA/Memphis, ect).

I have been messing around with it, and I am playing as MACW. I have been able to sign an exclusive contract with the Road Warriors. I am also working on the Flair-Race feud for StarCade '83.

The game itself is pretty good, as it covers the "backstage" stuff....but you also have to set up your shows, while dealing with wrestlers' egos

Well if you like that, myself and D Boon's Ghost (the man who's done a huge chunk of uploading on that), are in the process of converting the scenario over to Adam Ryland's newest game, Wrestling Spirit www.greydogsoftware.com, and must say it's looking very good.

Although, our Wrestling Spirit scenario is being called 'Death to the Territories' and is being aimed at more being a general look at the early 80s, as we've added in a bunch of promotions that had closed down before or during '83, including Ed Farhat's Detroit promotion, Dick the Bruiser's, Frank Tunney's Maple Leaf Wrestling, Peter Maivia's Polynesian and more.

I liked his EWR games better....TEW seemed to have waaaaaaaay too much stuff to handle.

yeah, Rick....it was you and D Boon's that I was referring to (for Wrestling Spirit).

So, you play cotg at all? Or perhaps...Legends?

Well, I'm trying to get into LoW... I ordered the three sets here, but I've been having a tad difficulty in the ordering process that we're trying to straighten out.

Which is a shame, cause I have a stack of bootlegs... but no idea how play. LOL.

well, I am sure it will get straightened out...Tom Filsinger is a real stand up guy.

As for the game itself....very cool.

I am running a Legends fed (along with 2 regular cotg feds)....but my Legends fed has become my heart and soul....
