Let's mix things up here and make it positive. We've talked least favorite wrestlers, drawings, worst characters, etc. How about the best? the favorites? the guys that maybe weren't very good but you liked?

Ok, I'll start. Mandrill is my all time fav. I usually favor heels because they're the most entertaining. I think his character is the most colorful ever, plus he's got a little bit of talent.
As for guys who aren't necessarily the most talented (at least headlining material), my favorites would have to be Incredible Badger, Lightening, and Whiplash. Lightening used to fair quite well in my light-weight ranks. I knew he was supposed to job, but since he was winning, his underdog status made me like him more.

Do I even need to say my favorites? The entire royal court has been my favorites (with the exception of the one Exo King drawing) - Mad Jester is my all time favorite superstar and drawing, all his drawings are great. Jack of Diamonds is also great. But I also have to throw my support behind my icon, Thunder has one of the best drawings and has the stats to support it!

Archon, Dark Justice, Bishop Hell, Janus, Mace (2102), and Talisman (easily the most fun CPC Guy) -All had great artwork and good stats. . I like Murdok a lot too. Fanaticism always makes a good angle.
Dark Justice is my all time Favorite, with Disaster #2.

I've only got the sets from 2087-2090, but I'm quite fond of the drawings for Star Warrior (He just looks like a real Galactic Hero), Bishop Hell (Just a great character), Executioner and Matter/Anti Matter (I like Tag Teams that look like Tag Teams). I also really like Comedy from Theatre of Pain...very sinister looking.

I like the SE Bishop Hell Card and the SE Brute and Massacre cards. The SE Chaos card is also awesome. As a group, my all time favorites have been Gladiators no matter what. There have been weak drawings, but on the whole, I have liked every card released for them (if I had to choose my favorite, it would have to be the SE Brute and Massacre card, and the SE Thunder card). I also like the original Thantos card, and the original Skinhead card. And all the Splatter cards. There's just something about that wacky homicidal maniac that gets me right in the heart.

The Amazing Mann is my favorite currently active wrestler in the GWF, great artwork, plus I live in Houdini's home town; so he has that going for him, he might not have the stats at the level of most of my Galaxian champions, but he can contend and I wouldn't be surprised if he did have a reign in his carrer.
Other favs would include: Varsity-like the artwork, alot of potential charater wise. Dark Justice- all time favorite, I'm a sucker for great artwork and charater. Painmaster- another great drawing, but he never achived much in my fed. Vigalante-What can I say, again one of the greatest alltime artwork, top tag wrestler to boot. Reckless-I hope he stays Payback-I would love to see payback and Reckless form an official tag team...for a year. Muttant-Just kept on Job'n along Enigma-while I agree with Tom that stables of wrestlers help define an indivduals personality; it also adds to a charaters personality when he the only one who doesn't join a group. To me Enigma was a so-so charater untill he went it alone.

As for artwork, my favorites include Bishop Hell (sp), Brute (2090 sp), Colossus (sp), and original Malice.
Overall (gameplay, etc), my favorites are Bishop Hell (my favorite heel), Colossus (was my main face for years), Vyper (don't know why but I've always liked him), and Malice (high flying and powerful..awesome mix!)

My favorite card art, by far, is Ghengis Khan. Carter totally nailed that character, and I absolutely HAD to push the hell out of him, even with his girl name having Mitsuko partner weighing him down.
Favorite wrestler is Bishop Hell. I really like his art by Carter and his SE card by Snelly(the x-ray effect on the hands is pretty cool).
The thing about COTG card drawings is even the ones that aren't so good have a certain charm to them which makes them cool. Even Sectarian.

Larry Snelly's: WAR Team: Raven...just plain incredible, Draggs...WOW, and Mace...excuded confidene...Holocasut..could have don'w without the missile hand, but it was a great drawing concept...and Dest. 3000...you could see te metal sheen in a black and white drawing!!!
Bendis' SE Colossus is very good as well.
Snelly's upgrade of Brute and Massacre were great!
Icould really go on all night...

My favorites were all the jesters, Bishop Hell, the second Splatter, and Doomsday Creature. I always envisioned Doomsday Creature as some unstoppable reptillian tank.

That 2nd Splatter card is responsible for me currently blowing through 2095 as fast as possible so I can buy 2096 and start using him.
DDC's card came a long way from Serpent Unman. Seeing how he was pushed in the official storyline, I can see I probably wasn't the only one that didn't like Serpent Unman, but I wasn't a part of the community then so I wouldn't really know.
Right now, DDC is doing pretty well. I have him in the heavyweight title division(I have an IP division and a tag division too) and he was working his way to a title shot quite nicely in the last card I did.
