THQ recently announced the next game in their SMACKDOWN line; "Smackdown VS Raw". Also, the development tean responsible for the abominable Raw & Raw 2 on X-Box has been relieved of their duties. The staff that created the Wrestlemania series for the Gamecube will now develop Wrestlemania XXI for the X-box. Smakcdown VS Raw pics are starting to pop up, and as THQ reps and developers have said, the game makes "Here Comes the Pain" look really dated in terms of graphics and overall presentation. After the last two titles, I'm personally pretty confident about the gameplay. I'm also happy that ANYONE other than Anchor is doing the X-Box titles going forward. Anchor makes a great ultimate fighting game, but that doesn't translate into the ability to make great wrestling games. What do you hope for with the new Smackdown? I personally want more legends (with their authentic theme music) and better create-a-wrestler templates. How about you guys?

Be careful what you wish for. WMXIX was abysmal for the Cube. Not sure if the same team will be working on Day of Reckoning or not, but hopefully they learned from their horrific mistakes either way.

No. Day of Reckoning is being worked on by (essentially) the Smackdown crew. Also, the staff who did Wrestlemania XX have gotten beefed up by 2 AKI guys from Japan. One AKI developer jumped on board for the last two Smackdown's and looked what happened. It's still too early to celebrate, but I'm confident.

On the new Smackdown game, I'd love to see a create-a-move option where you can create wrestling attacks. It would be like taunts except you maneuver the wrestler's arms and legs around the opponent. For damage, how about you'd have to buy damage points for each move from the shop? That way $ isn't useless after you unlock everything in Shopzone.
I'd also like to see more matches in season than just 3. 5-8 would be good.

FOR THE NEW SMACKDOWN SHOULD HAVE A SECTION WHERE YOU MAKE ONE OF YOUR OWN FINISHING MOVES. MORE WOMEN SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY IN THE SEASON.
