Ok, I decided to go on and post my Total Extreme Warfare game diary here too....At first, I wasn't going to, but....oh well....here it is.... Let me know what you all think about it....if you want to go over to the actual thread on the TEW boards, here it is: www.400softwarestudios.com/invboard/upload/index.php?showtopic=55302(NOTE: The reason this is called “The Dark Side of Wrestling: A Total Wrestling Experience” is because this may not be about just one promotion in the fantasy world of Total Extreme Warfare. What happens may not be what I want to happen, in fact, I may even get fired from my job(s). But, that is ok, cause who knows….perhaps, I will even form my very own promotion. This diary, like so many others on the TEW Diary/Dynasties Forum, is about the REAL side of wrestling….What I call, the Dark Side of the sport. There are deals, and schemes….arguments and fights….friendships and bitterest enemies…..and these not necessarily IN the ring…but outside the ring, in the locker room. Back stage politics, as we all know, can bring a promotion to ruin….These are the things that I intend on keeping at a minimum…) April 3, 2004 9:03 AM Here I stand, in the presence of one who is considered one of the greatest legendary “Generals” in the “Ring Wars”. Col. Redford K.C. Frederickson, charmingly known in the wrestling community as “Red Fred”. This is the man that led the now-huge SWF to it’s greatness as Head Booker from its’ founding in 1972 to when the SWF embraced Sports Entertainment in 1997. 25 years as Head Booker, along with various other high-level positions in the company throughout his 25 year stay in that promotion. Once the SWF took on the form of Sports Entertainment in ’97, he and Richard Eisen clashed many, many times over the booking of the shows. Eisen had finally after over a decade “met his match” in the wrestling industry, in the form of the Hollyweird Grappling Company (HGC), headed up by J.K. Stallings, Jr. Stallings bought up many of the top wrestlers in the sport (putting many smaller promotions out of business). His greatest upset signing was Sam Strong, the #1 wrestler in the world at this present moment. With the sudden Global rise of the HGC in just a year (offering a successful new brand of “Sports Entertainment”), Richard Eisen began to get worried….many fans were switching over to this new “brand” of wrestling, leaving the Traditional style of the sport behind. This led to the removal of Col. Red out of the company. What was supposed to have stayed in the locker room and front office, became HUGE news throughout the wrestling world. Sure, Mr. Frederickson has continued in the business, first working for small-time promotions here and there for 2 years, until finally, he was brought onto the Scouting Team of New York City Wrestling (NYCW), the only viable (and living) Traditionally based promotion in the US. After 2 years with this small company, United States Pro Wrestling was formed by Danny Jillefski, and Red Fred joined up. USPW was originally going to be a Traditional promotion, but after only 20 months, Jillefski decided to take the promotion into another direction. A direction not unknown by Red, but a direction definitely NOT liked. Within 4 months of this decision, Col. Red Fred left yet another promotion, and on bad terms once again. Now….why would I get a call from this man? A man who I have nearly idolized for his endurance and skill in working a locker room for the betterment of a company? Well…I am sure, he was about to tell me…. “So, Mr. Paul….I have heard a lot about you, son. I have heard that you have been working for some small promotions down south….I also understand that you have been somewhat successful. But even more importantly….I understand that you run a show with traditional values. That is what I want to see…Wrestling when it was a part of America. Wrestling when Tradition was what carried the show…not this ‘sex, drugs and rock n roll’ crap that those damned Eisen’s are putting out there.” Even though I have nearly idolized the man, I have only ever seen small pictures…Red Fred actually looks like a cross between Col. Sanders (from Kentucky Fried Chicken) and Yosemite Sam. Still in shock from actually meeting him, Red Fred continues. “What I would like to offer you is a job. Now, son, not just any job….but a job working directly for me. I am going to let you in on a little secret…I am in the process of gathering up the funds to begin a new Promotion. A promotion that will return this Sports Entertainment nonsense into what wrestling should be….wrestling. This promotion will take wrestling back to it’s Heritage. The Heritage Wrestling Alliance, based out of the Great Lakes Region. So far, I have $25,000 in cash,” as he motions toward a picture, presumably his safe. “This money,” he continues, “will be used by the Head Booker to sign the talent needed, set up the matches, and basically run the Promotion.” “Sir”, I stutter, “you are offering me a job in your new promotion? Uhhh….ummmm….am I hearing this right?” “Son, not only a job, but the number 2 spot in the promotion, 2nd only to me, the owner. You will answer and report directly to me, and nobody else. I have heard in the rumor mill that those damn Eisen’s have tried to keep you down and out of main-stream wrestling. They are afraid….and whoever they are afraid of, that is the very same person I need on my team. Now, the job I am offering, I will only offer it once….you either accept it now, or you don’t accept it later…I am offering you the top spot on the booking team….that’s right, Head Booker. Now, do you accept? Or do you walk away?” I nearly collapsed at that offer….Head Booker for the man who I have humbly attempted to model my own career after? ? HELL YEAH I WILL TAKE THE JOB…. “Sir, I accept your proposal….when do I start?” May 1, 2004 10:26 AM The telephone rings…I jump at the sound. Looking over all these prospects and possible contracts seemed to have put me in a state of surrounding unawareness. I answer the phone… “Hey, Chris, this is me, Red….tell me, how are things up north?” Red lives in Kentucky…says he will never leave that state again unless he was drugged, drunk and dead. “Not bad, sir,” I answer, “just been working late hours…going over all of these wrestlers, announcers, referees….a whole lot of boring stuff here.” “Well, that is the nature of the beast though, son.” There is a pause. “Well, let me know how things are going…remember, you are the boss up there, hear? Don’t let any no-name nobody try to push you around once you get ‘em signed….if they do, just tell ‘em to come talk to me….and make sure you tell ‘em it ain’t gonna be a pretty meetin’ either. Hollar at you later, son….good luck on spending my money. Oh, and one more thing….stop calling me ‘Sir’, you are making me feel older than what I want to be.” - click -

Well, another day done. At least I have done all I can with the Promotion today. Many contract offers were given out, and only one was returned out-right. Sensational Dragon declined, as he is in contract negotiations with Golden Canvas Grappling. Oh well, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sign everyone I wanted. In fact, many of the workers I have offered contracts to, I am sure I will be turned down. I have been here before.
Red has given me full control over the $25k to get the HWA off the ground. The buzz on the ‘net is looking good, and has gotten the interest level in our promotion up to 25% in the Great Lakes Region. That is a good thing. Hopefully, by next week, I can start booking our first show, a Tournament for the HWA Heritage Heavyweight Championship.
I have spoken to Red about the number of Championships we should have, at least to start things out. We both agree on the fact that having a Tag Team Championship for at least the 1st year would be too taxing on the promotion. Verbal Contracts simply DO NOT hold enough steam to guarantee that a tag team will stay together, at least not for a small just starting out company as we are. But, we also agreed on the fact that we should have two singles Championships. The names we agreed to:
1. HWA Heritage Heavyweight Championship 2. HWA Great Lakes Championship
Those will be our only 2 Championships, for at least the 1st year.
Well, I am leaving the office now, if you can call this an office. It is more like a hole in the wall. Even though Columbus, Ohio is large enough city, we still do not have the sufficient funds to really get a real office. I am hoping that we can get our talent signed soon enough, so I can get started on what Red hired me for….being Head Booker of this promotion.
QUOTE (HWA-wrestling-tradition-honor.com) Here is the HWA's current roster. (NOTE: All contracts are verbal Pay Per Appearance contracts)
Caliber Chris Champion - Heel, Franchise Player gimmick, Main Eventer. Chris Canolia is, by many, destined to be the World Champion before his career is over. He is only 23, and has much potential. A great chain wrestler, he is nick-named the "Wrestlers Wrestler". He has great Chain Wrestling ability, good on the mat, submissions, decent psychology, good wrestling basics, great on the mic and has good charisma. He has the look, and high sex appeal. (Finishers: Champions Challenge & Caliber Crossface)
Adam "The Mat" Matravers - Face, Old School Face gimmick, Main Eventer. Adam Matravers is a talented all-round worker, specializing in high flying action. He is considered to be perhaps themost naturally talented UK worker of his generation. What can be said about this guy? He has the material to be one of the greats of the Squared Circle. The only thing that could hold him back is his Charisma & Mic skills. (Finishers: Back to the Mat & Mat-Lock)
Battle Sakata - Heel, Samurai gimmick, Upper Midcarder. Battle Sakata (Hirokichi Sakata) is a solid brawler who while not likely to end up as a world champion, is a reliabble midcard performer. (Finisher: Choke Bomb)
"Enforcer" Derek Frost - Heel, Enforcer gimmick, Upper Midcarder. Derek Frost is a young Canadian brawler, who is yet to make an impact on the sport. He is basically the Enforcer for Caliber Chris Champion. (Finisher: Frost Bite)
Flying Jimmy Fox - Face, Thrillseeker gimmick, Upper Midcarder. Jimmy Foxx is a young high flier. (Finisher: Thunder Fire Powerbomb)
Harmony Hevens - Face, Manager. Joan Evans is a long-time valet on the UK scene, who is also an excellent play-by-play commentator. Manages Matravers, to cover up his poor mic skills.
John Greed - Heel, High Society gimmick, Upper Midcarder. John Greed is a decent high flier. (Finisher: Martial Arts Kick)
Kenneth Coleman - Tweener, Thrill Seeker gimmick, Midcarder. Kenneth Coleman is a high flier from Leeds. (Finisher: Flying Lightning Kick)
Leo Price - Face, Old School Face, Upper Midcarder. Leo Price is a very talented all-rounder who has been a refular on the UK wrestling scene for many years. Will most likely be used to "teach" the younger workers in the ring. (Finisher: German Suplex)
Lord Marcel DuPont - Heel, High Society, Main Eventer. Mean Jean Cattley is a young technical worker, who is making a name for himself on the independent circuit in the US. Masny feel that once he's gained a bit more experience, he will be a valuable asset to one of the major companies. (Finisher: At the Lord's Mercy)
Owen Love - Face, Old School Face, Upper Midcarder. Owen Love is a superb technical worker, who can have good matches with just about anyone. (Finisher: Full Nelson Legsweep)

I am talking to Red on the phone….Over the past 2 days, we were able to acquire over 15 workers with verbal contracts.
“Yes, Red, we are getting ready to hold our first event.” Things are starting to move, and we are now getting into the area where I am most interested in, booking.
I continue, “The name of the inaugural event will be, ‘A Night of Tradition: Red Blood on the Blue Grass’. The plan is to have 2 tournament, or, a tournament and a Battle Royal to determine our 2 Champions.”
Red asks me about the workers. Are they well-balanced?
“Yes, Red, I believe they are. Of course, we couldn’t afford all the top stars that I wanted to get, due to resources. But, I do believe we have some great guys. Our two Main Eventers I believe should be Champion and Matravers.”
Red agrees with me….both men he has heard quite a bit about. Especially Matravers, who is considered one of, if not THE best worker in from the UK at the moment.
“Don’t worry, Red” I answer another question, pertaining to what I expect the outcome of the event will be. “I believe that there is enough buzz about the HWA, and the level of hype we are putting into the show, I think we will make strong first impressions. The initial plan is for a 1 ½ hour show. But, that may change before we actually get things set in concrete.”
There is something else that I have been wanting to ask Red, but not sure if now is the right time. I have always been a huge tag team wrestling fan…nothing better than seeing two great tag teams, that work well together, put on a great heel vs. face tag match. Since we were able to secure over 15 workers in just the last 2 days, I have been rolling tag team ideas through my mind. I am thinking that a tag team division COULD actually work….but, not just yet. As much as I want to have a strong Tag Team Division, we need to establish our promotion, and position ourselves as a promotion that is willing to fight to stay in the Wrestling World. And, as far as that goes, I think this show will be a great start on that road.
But, at the present time, we are just a small promotion with no written contracts, and without written contracts, that can spell disaster for a Tag Team Title.
“Red,” I explain in answer to another question, “the show is scheduled for Thursday the 13, in just over a week away, down in Kentucky….”

Well, I have received my first bad news since the promotion started up. We are about to lose our first prospect, and there is absolutely NOTHING I can do about it. Owen Love has been offered a written contract from Canadian Charisma Championship Combat (4C). There is no way we can compete with that. The “Roster Raiding” has begun…I knew it would, but I didn’t think it would happen this soon. Oh well, If he chooses to move on before we even have our first show, then so be it.
Speaking of other Promotions, my secretary (not really my secretary, just one of my sisters) just brought in a report on what promotions are actually out there. Here they are:
21st Century Wrestling (21CW): 21CW are a new promotion who have quickly gained a lot of fans in the South and Midlands of England. Offering a Cutting Edge mix of quick action and short angles, they seem poised to rapidly expand into other markets.
Canadian Charisma Championship Combat (4C): 4C are the 'alternative' in Canadian wrestling. Using the bold strategy of taking on both of the Big Two at once, 4C use a Hybrid style of wrestling to attract fans. Although small, they are becoming more and more popular.
5 Star Supreme Wrestling (5SSW): The only remaining women's promotion in Japan, 5SSW have been having continued success for many years, to the extent of putting all their competition out of business. They currently have the greatest women's roster ever assembled.
Angel Athletic Association (AAA): An oddity, AAA are the only women's wrestling federation in the US, and despite having enjoyed several years of huge success in the North West, have never managed to break out into any other territory. They have a devoted fan base.
Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods (BHOTWG): BHOTWG are currently the most commercially successful promotion in the world. Their masterstroke was building a roster which contains many different styles of workers, and using this to appeal to many different types of fan.
Crash Course Combat (CCC): The premier training camp on the West Coast of the US, CCC have been solely responsible for the explosion of talent appearing in that region over the past decade.
Canadian Golden Combat (CGC): The dominant force in wrestling in Western Canada, CGC have become very popular by offering a soap-opera style of wrestling, revolving around the incredibly popular DeColt family. One of the Big Two in Canada.
Charisma Wrestling League (CWL): CWL have been Mexico's major wrestling training camp since the early 1980's, and are well respected throughout the country for their ability to produce exciting lucha-style wrestlers.
Coastal Zone Combat Wrestling (CZCW): Using a Hybrid style, CZCW are becoming a feature of the South Western wrestling scene. With a small but talented roster, CZCW look like they could become a major player in the future.
Danger And Violence Extreme (DAVE): Nationally known, but especially big in the Tri State area, DAVE are the nation's favourite underdog promotion, taking on the Big Two despite limited money, using wit and creativity to compete. They offer a controversial hardcore style.
Empire Combat Academy (ECA): The premier training camp in Japan, ECA has been responsible for producing some of the finest wrestlers of the past decade.
Golden Canvas Grappling (GCG): The oldest promotion in Japan, GCG were once the most powerful promotion on the planet. A series of poor business decisions in the 1980's led them to financial ruin, and they are now a shell of their former self, struggling to survive.
Hollyweird Grappling Company (HGC): Using their incredible wealth, HGC came onto the wrestling scene in the late 90's and almost immediately managed to buy their way to the top of the industry. Currently at war with rivals SWF, they are looking to dominate wrestling.
Men Of Steel Combat (MOSC): MOSC are currently the most popular promotion in the UK, and have reached that point by offering blood, beer and brawls to Scottish and Northern crowds. Although their roster isn't overly talented, they make up their lack of skill with determination.
Mexico Premier Wrestling Federation (MPWF): One of the 'Big Three' in Mexico, MPWF control the Northern region of the country. Of the three major promotions, MPWF are considered to have the most talented roster, but are also the financially worst off.
Mystery Wrestling Club (MWC): A legendary training camp in the wrestling world, MWC is a sub-division of NOTBPW. Famed for producing top quality versatile wrestlers, it is NOTBPW's not-so-secret weapon.
No Name Wrestling (NNW): Formed during the wrestling boom of the early 1990's, NNW are known nationwide as the best training camp in the UK, and have been responsible for training most of the current crop of British talent.
North Of The Border Pro Wrestling (NOTBPW): Controlling wrestling in Eastern Canada, NOTBPW are one of the Big Two in Canada. Run by, and starring, the Stone family, they offer a traditional product, and have become popular through their reputation of putting on great old-school matches.
New York City Wrestling (NYCW): Despite having been around for years, NYCW have never managed to find any level of success outside of the Tri State area. Many blame this on their inability to change with the times, instead relying on old school matches between veterans.
Original Lucha Libre In Extreme (OLLIE): One of the 'Big Three' promotions that control Mexican wrestling, OLLIE control the largest region, West Central. They are the oldest and biggest of the three promotions.
PileDriver Wrestling (PDW): The main East Coast training camp, PDW have been producing well trained wrestlers for over two decades. Well respected by everyone in the industry, PDW are known their high quality of training.
Pride Glory Honor Wrestling (PGHW): In just a few years since their debut, PGHW have become known worldwide for producing the best pure wrestling matches on the planet. The fastest growing promotion in Japan, their only weakness appears to be their over-reliance on their 6 main stars.
Ring of Fire (ROF): ROF offer a dose of Pure wrestling to UK fans, and are beginning to build up a base of loyal fans. Currently only running small shows in the Midlands, they continue to expand slowly.
South Of The Border Pro Wrestling (SOTBPW): The youngest of the 'Big Three' promotions that control Mexican wrestling, SOTBPW control the South Eastern cities. By far the richest of the Mexican promotions, their tactics so far have been quite simple - outbid the competition at every turn.
Supreme Wrestling Federation (SWF): One of the Big Two in US wrestling, SWF offer the riskier, more edgy product. Run by the famous Eisen family, they were once the dominant force in US wrestling, but have recently faced stiff competition from ultra-rich arch-rivals HGC.
United States Pro Wrestling (USPW): The youngest of the 'name' promotions in the US, USPW's appeal is based on the fact that it delivers old school wrestling, and is something that all the family can watch. Currently the fastest-rising promotion in the country.
World Level Wrestling (WLW): A very young promotion, WLW have started to gain quite a large following by presenting themselves as a rebel federation - going against traditional Japanese values, and presenting a glitzy product full of lightweight workers with crazy gimmicks.
Heritage Wrestling Alliance (HWA): "Classic Mat Action for the Modern Mat Era" - The HWA was formed by Redford K.C. Frederickson, to counter-act the "downfall" of the sport due to Sports Entertainment.
The 3 Promotions I need to be most immediately concerned with are:
1. DAVE – In the Great Lakes Region, DAVE has a 41.5% popularity rating. They are 3rd Most Popular in the USA.
2. SWF – The number one Promotion in the USA, and because of that, they are the #1 Promotion in the Great Lakes Region with a popularity rating of 78.0%.
3. HGC – The #2 Promotion in the USA, fighting for the #1 spot with the SWF. In the Great Lakes Region, they have a popularity rating of 68.0%.
We (HWA) have a Popularity Rating in the Great Lakes Region of 42.1%. We are ranked 3rd place in the Region, with DAVE only 0.6% behind us….this is going to be a tough, tough battle straight out from the gates. And with us losing Owen Love, a great Mat, Chain, and Submission Wrestler with a great grasp of the basics, strong psychology, along with somewhat decent mic skills…we are losing a great addition to the HWA roster. Too bad….but I will keep my eye on him once he leaves. If things don’t work out between him and 4C, perhaps he will resign with us.

Damn, I think to myself, looking at the clock in the hotel room. The show starts in about an hour and a half. I guess contract negotiations with Robbie didn’t go through. I call the talent agent…
“Yeah, Scott?” I speak into my cell phone. “Yeah, just get in touch with Robbie, tell him he took too long….yeah, the show is about to start in less than 2 hours. Well, that is the business….yep, just tell him we don’t need him at the moment anymore….ok….yeah….no problem, see you tonite at the show.”
I hang up…really didn’t want this to happen this way, but that is ok, I have about 5 other plans to use as back-ups. I call Leo Price, the powerhouse of the HWA.
“Hey, Leo….yeah, this is Chris. Hey, let everyone know we are going with ‘Plan B’….yeah, Robbie didn’t come through with us on time….so….yeah….Tell Washington that he can take the night off….tell him that I also wanna get with him later in the week for a possible re-negotiation on his PPA contract. Ok, thanks, bro….yeah, on my way….talk in just a bit.”
I hang up with Price. Good guy….Good Road Agent. A guy I feel I can trust. Well, the 16-man tourney for the Title is out the window, but that is ok. “Plan B” I think will be much better, and will go much longer. Now, hopefully, my contract offer to Jorge Washington will be good enough to get him for a few more dates than first planned. I head out the door of the hotel, looking at the beautiful Kentucky hills…Kentucky Blue Grass….heh….”Red Blood on the Blue Grass”….

Adam Matravers was in the ring after the match. He grabbed the mic, and said that in just a few moments, he and Chris Champion will clash inside the steel cage. And after he is done with Champion, he will defend the HWA Title with honor and respect to the fans. Champion walks out, and interrupts, calling Matravers a "No-Name", then jumped into the ring. >A good match for the Heritage Championship. Both men put on a great show. The cage wall was used several times between the two, and a trash can was tossed in by Double J (Champion's manager), and was used on Matravers. Champion laid out Matravers with the Champion's Challenge, but Matravers barely kicked out. The match went on, finally ending with Champion landing a German suplex. The ref counted the 3, but both men's shoulders were on the mat for the double pin.

Back in my own home city, Columbus, Ohio. I love traveling with the guys, but I also like to do my pre-show work alone. Today is my day to get the next show all set up. Two days until show time, and there is a lot of work to be done. The booking of the arena (I like to call them that, but in reality, it is more like a public barn.)
Oh well. Red was pleased with the results of A Night of Tradition. I was too, but the show could have been better. We live and learn….but in the business, it is more like “We live & burn”. If the fans turn on us due to poor product, then there is no one else to blame but ourselves. I think though that Matravers & Champion will be able to put on some great matches with each other. And the DuPont/Adams storyline is only getting more of a following. DuPont, I believe is our brightest star of the future.
Later this afternoon, I have a meeting with the booking team. At the Bob Evans over on South High Street. We need to get some things worked out as far as the upcoming show. Plus, I have 2 meetings later this evening with Adams and Savage. They seem to be unhappy about their current push. I think Adams could be a Main Eventer, but Savage…well, not so sure of him just yet. His attitude is a bit unwanted in the locker room. I will have to see how he continues to perform. But, Adams….yeah, along with DuPont (Cattley), he could/should be our future star.
Coming off of Night of Tradition, we have an extra 5k in the bank. That is good…once I get the account up to 50k, I want to start working out some written contracts with some of these guys, try to get them signed so another promotion can’t steal them. I sure hate it when that happens….

Washington just got in touch with me. DAVE has offered him a PPA contract. I have counter-offered with, hopefully, a better offer than DAVE. I really dislike DAVE, as they are our top rival throughout the Great Lakes Region.
I have some good plans for Washington, and if those plans bud into what I am thinking they will, perhaps I could get a more permanent, verbal contract.
At any rate, tonight is the first weekly show. The Battle Royal, to crown the 1st ever HWA Great Lakes Champion. This I am excited about. Old School fans I am sure love Battle Royals, takes them back into simpler times, where there was nearly a Battle Royal on every traveling show.
I have been having individual meetings with the roster, asking them about the push they are getting, and the gimmick they are currently using. I only had 2 that were not happy with either their push, or their gimmick. The gimmick situation, I have taken care of. But the push….well, this worker thinks he deserves a Main Event spot. I tend to disagree at the moment, at least with the current talent we have on the shows. Champion, DuPont, Price and Matravers are our Main Eventers at the moment. With some others waiting in the wings, so to speak.
I also spoke with Red earlier on the phone. He is happy with the situation that the HWA is in right now, as am I. Tonight’s show is on my mind, trying to tie up a few lose ends before we have our meeting early this evening at the “Barn”.
Red, I think, is right. Things are looking up for our Heritage Wrestling Alliance.

Last night's HWA Old School Tradition weekly show was a success on many fronts. Some great matches, lots of action in and out of the ring. Read on, HWA fan, to find out what you don't know!!
HWA Old School Tradition Wednesday, May 19, 2004 Location: Ohio Attendance: 1,901 Pre-Show Popularity in Ohio: 40.0% Post-Show Popularity in Ohio: 44.0% (+4%)
The show starts up with Christopher Paul in the ring. He announces that next week, Caliber Chris Champion and Adam "The Mat" Matravers will face off for the still-vacant Heritage Heavyweight Championship. The type of match is yet to be determined, but a standard singles match will definetly NOT be how the Champion will be crowned.
Overall Rating: 38.8%
Adam "The Mat" Matravers vs. Lord Marcel DuPont Winner: DuPont by countout
Match Reaction: 22.6% Match Quality: 70.8% Overall Rating: 56.0%
>A good match, as these two guys put on one hell of a show. In the end, Chris Champion ran out and attacked Matravers, but was chased off. Matravers didn't make it back to the ring, giving DuPont the count out win. Champion ran back out, followed by Matravers, but DuPont attacked Matravers. Before any real double-teaming could take place, "Gentleman" Keith Adams ran out, and a wild brawl broke out in and around the ring. Officials took several minutes to separate them.
After Matravers & Adams was pulled apart from Champion & DuPont, Champion offered DuPont a spot on the 2nd Coming stable. DuPont accepted, becoming the newest member of 2nd Coming.
Overall Rating: 45.6%
"Powerful" Leo Price vs. Caliber Chris Champion Winner: Champion via pinfall
Match Reaction: 26.4% Match Quality: 76.6% Overall Rating: 55.1%
>Another great match on this event. Price showed some of his high flying ability, hitting a rana off the top ropes, and later, a perfect moonsault. Champion, of course, kept with his mat and chain wrestling. DuPont ran out and low-blowed Price, setting up for the Champion's Challenge by Chris Champion for the pinfall. After the match, Matravers & Adams ran out, chasing Champion & DuPont from the ring area.
Harmony Hevens is standing backstage, when Johnny Greed walks up to her and starts hitting on her. The segment ends with them chatting, and Hevens giggling at the small talk of Greed.
Overall Rating: 29.6%
Fly Boys ("Chaotic" Kenneth Coleman & Flying Jimmy Foxx) vs. Super Stars ("Supreme" Steve Star & "Marvelous" Marc Star) Winner: Fly Boys via Coleman over Marc Star by pin
Match Reaction: 13.4% Match Quality: 57.3% Overall Rating: 40.7%
>A decent match, but trying to follow the 2 previous matches was a bad idea. Coleman nailed Marc Star with a Flying Lightning Kick off the top rope for the pinfall.
"Gentleman" Keith Adams is shown backstage signing an autograph for a fan.
Overall Rating: 19.4%
A video is shown of the high spots from the Matravers/Champion Heritage Championship Finals match, ending with a double pinfall, setting up next weeks special Main Event between the two for the HWA Heritage Heavyweight Championship.
Overall Rating: 62.0%

The reports have come in from last night’s new HWA weekly show, “HWA Old School Tradition”. And the reports are good. We have even raised up our popularity in Kentucky, that actually suffered from “A Night of Tradition” that was held down there last week. In Ohio, we went up 4 full percentage points, and we went up 2% in the other states. Two great matches were worked last night, DuPont vs. Matravers and Champion vs. Price. Great matches that boosted the ratings, I am sure. Our two main story lines are growing in interest with the fans (Matravers/Champion: 20.3% and Adams/DuPont: 25.1%). I have already spoken with Red, and he is pretty happy about the success of Old School Tradition, with an $8,000 profit.
But, with all the good news, bad news runs around every corner.
Hard feelings are brewing between Clarence Alexander (Marc Star) and Kenneth Coleman. This may end up stunting this storyline before it even begins. But, a work-around is coming into place, with the Greed/Hevens segment. The only thing, Hevens needs a gimmick. Need to look into what would be a good character for her.
Other news, Flash Savage has been offered a Training Camp place with Mystery Wrestling Club. Not sure what to think of this. If they only want to train him, then great, as Savage has some great mic skills and good charisma. Just his basics and psychology needs some work. The man is definitely on his way to being a great worker in the future.
Things are looking up for the Promotion, as we are making solid money, having great matches, and our storylines are getting more fan interest with each show. Now, just need to decide on a few things before next weeks Old School Tradition: Who will be win the Heritage Title, Matravers or Champion. And what to do about the hard feelings between Coleman and Alexander (Marc Star).

“Ok, Red…Sure…well, I just got off the phone with him. Yeah, he said he will consider it. Sure, Red, hopefully Washington will sign also. We could use the talent. Sure, talk to you tomorrow.”
I hang up the phone. What a day. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest. But today, nothing was very restful. Just less than 30 minutes ago, we finally got a contract offer to DAVE’s Nemesis that he will consider. This doesn’t guarantee that he will sign, but a written contract with him will surely pull DAVE down a bit, and push us up a bit. Plus, I have a great storyline I would like to use him in, especially if we can also sign Washington to a more permanent deal.
About 2 hours ago, I had a long 3-way talk with Leo Price, Road Agent for the HWA, Clarence Alexander (Marc Star), and Ken Coleman. Coleman and Alexander are not getting along too well. And it seems as though the more they have to work matches together, the more likely things will blow up. Not good. Looks like I am going to have to go another direction with their storyline.
Some things work out great, other things don’t. Like Red says, That is just the nature of the beast, and this beast is a business, with a lot of big egos.

Well, another week, and nothing back officially from Jorge Washington about a new contract. Also, nothing yet from Nemesis, but that probably won’t be for a few more days at least. That is all ok though, as I don’t need them for another 2 weeks at the earliest.
I have been talking to Red about maybe attempting to expand into an official tag team division. He seems for it, but we are still a little reserved about it. It all depends on if I am able to secure some more talent that I have been looking at recently. Hopefully, we will be able to get enough workers to form up some decent tag teams, and to hold a tag team title.
At any rate, the show is about to get started, in less than 30 minutes. I hear a knock on the door, and in walks Leo Price, head Road Agent for the HWA. He has been talking to Alexander (Marc Star) and Coleman. It sounds as though they nearly came to blows earlier today while setting up the ring. This is something that I do not need. They are both members of the only two official tag teams in the HWA, and they are throwing a wrench into the works.
“Hi, Leo…”
“Hey, boss…I had a talk with both guys earlier. They just really dislike each other. Not sure how you wanna handle this one.”
“Well,” I contemplate on our options. “Well, what can we do…hopefully, they won’t hurt each other tonite in their match. We need them for the future. I will get with Red tomorrow about the situation, see how they handle things tonite. Do me a favor, will ya?”
“Sure, what is it?”
I wish every worker was like Price. He is a good Road Agent, a good solid performer in the ring. Just needs some help on his mic work and charisma….
“Tell them that I want to see both of them tomorrow morning, 9 sharp….phone conference with Red….perhaps that will cool things off for awhile.”
Leo nods, as he turns from the makeshift office in the back of the small arena. I always hated Michigan….and I hope tonite doesn’t add to that hatred.

QUOTE (NewWrestlingNews.com) Thursday, May 27, 2004:
Last night, the HWA visited Michigan. The vacant Heritage Heavyweight Champion was crowned...along with some other matches. Here is our report of the event:
HWA Old School Tradition Location: Michigan Attendance: 1,348 Pre-Show Popularity: 42.0% Post-Show Popularity: 46.2% (+4.2%)
The show starts up with 2nd Coming (Caliber Chris Champion, Marcel DuPont, Derek Frost & manager, Double J) walking out to the ring to solid boos. Champion grabbed the mic, and called out "The Real Deal" Kris Kingdom. Kingdom walked out and stepped into the ring. Champion then offered him a spot in the "greatest wrestling stable in the history of the sport", 2nd Coming. Kingdom quickly accepted, and shook hands with all the other members.
Overall Rating: 40.3%
The camera shows Harmony Hevens dressing room door. A knock on the door, and Hevens answers the door. At her feet are some flowers and cards, none of which had any names on them. She looks slightly confused, as she picks them up, looking around. She then walks back inside her dressing room, shutting the door.
Overall Rating: 25.8%
6-Man Tag Team Match Fly Boys ("Chaotic" Kenneth Coleman & Flying Jimmy Foxx) & Flash Savage w/Harmony Hevens vs. Super Stars ("Supreme" Steve Star & "Marvelous" Marc Star) & "Gorgeous" Johnny Greed Winner: Flash Savage via pinfall over Steve Star.
Match Reaction: 13.4% Match Quality: 45.7% Overall Rating: 33.7%
>A decent match to start the show off. Nothing special though.
Caliber Chris Champion, leader of 2nd Coming, walks out to the ring, followed by Double J. Champion talked about how after tonite, he will be the undisputed Heritage Heavyweight Champion. Champion said that if it was up to him, he would have the Main Event be a Texas Death Match, just to prove to the fans that Chris Champion is indeed...a REAL Champion.
Overall Rating: 73.4%
As Champion was leaving the ring, Matravers walked out, and stepped in the ring. Matravers and Champion stood nose-to-nose. Matravers said that tonite's Heritage Title Match will be a Texas Death Match, and after the match, Champion will be crawling out of the arena. Champion and Matravers started arguing, face-to-face, but before they could start fighting, officials jumped into the ring and held them apart.
Overall Rating: 24.2%
Great Lakes Championship "Powerful" Leo Price vs. Lord Marcel DuPont (ch) Winner: Price by DQ
Match Reaction: 25.8% Match Quality: 65.5% Overall Rating: 46.5%
>Surprisingly, the match didn't do as well as I thought it would. They did put on a decent match, again, showing off both the power and agility based wrestling that Price is capable of. The match ended when DuPont grabbed a chair and blasted Price with it, getting himself DQ'd. After the match, Kris Kingdom ran out to the ring, and both men double-teamed Price, laying him out cold in the ring. Keith Adams and Adam Matravers ran out to make the save, chasing DuPont and Kingdom out of the ring.
Keith Adams grabbed the mic, and called Marcel DuPont back out from the back. DuPont walked out, holding the Great Lakes Heavyweight Title belt. Adams challenged DuPont to a Title Match, next week. DuPont said that Adams needed to prove himself first by defeating DuPont in a non-title match. Adams accepted the stipulation.
