I know, I know, a lotta you guys probably don't really like rap music all that much. Heck, I'm not a rap fan either.
I'm an AKI fan though, and Def Jam Vendetta 2 looks pretty promising.
PSM magazine has a big cover story on it this month.
It's gonna have- Interactive background stuff including audiences that interfere/give weapons like in Pit Fighter. Weapons Blood CREATE A FIGHTER-you actually create the story mode character, and you can go to stores to buy him bling bling ice and different jerseys and stuff like that.
The fights aren't just all regular matches. You'll have a match where you have to throw a guy in front of a moving subway train to win, and an inferno match where you have to light the guy on fire to win.
Sounds pretty cool if you ask me. Sadly, rings are gone, moving it even further away from wrestling than the first game.

Sadly, rings are gone, moving it even further away from wrestling than the first game. Can't possibly be any worse than WMXIX's "Revenge" mode.

Its funny, because the one fun level(IMO) of the revenge mode is being lifted for DJV2.
The one where you gotta fight the other guy while smashing each others cars, and the winner is the guy who destroys the other car.
Says the cars will be interactive here though, and you can slam the hood down on the guy and throw him through the windows and stuff.
In WMXIX I kept playing that level over and over to get all the secret guys and never finished the game. Knowing how much rappers put into their cars you know that the damage is going to be amazing on DJV.

Although the ring is gone, I love this game! It has several different lil' quirks that other pure wrestling games don't have...and, since I listen to hip-hop/rap/r&b exclusively-this game is great as you can play as the stars and listen to your song as you beat the living tar out of them.

Heck, I avoid listening to those genres of music and I still love this game. ;D

Assuming this thread is about Def Jam 3 . . . .
Casey, you should know that AKI is NOT making this game.
Also, what I have played . . . . sucks!!
A Chicago based designer has taken over, and they are going for an MTV Cribs approach to this game. It looks amazing, but it plays like NBA JAM the fighting edition.

Actually, RS, if you check the dates this is a year-old thread about DF:FfNY that was bumped for some reason.

Okay, that makes sense.
I guess I should pay more attention to the post dates.

I bumped this thread due to me going through and making sure double posts don't happen as well as making a comment on it regardless how old the post was. Just figured I would add my two cents on it is all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for bumping old posts. It actually surprised me that it's already been well over a year of this board. It just caught me off-guard.
