I had one of these in my fed recently & these are the rules that I used:
Match is 5 rounds long (5 minutes each)
Team of 2 decides who fights each round. Whoever fights for the round must complete the round. No tagging out allowed.
The single fighter must defeat both opponents by KO/SUB within the 5 rounds or the fight goes to the judges for a decision.
When determining the winner by decision use the single fighters scores against the team scores (by round) just as if it were a normal 1 on 1 matchup. Winner is determined by normal means using Cosmic Crippler's Timing & Scoring rules.

Once again, a very nice contribution. I might incorporate some elements of this into my Doubles bouts. I've been looking for a way to spice them back up again. Nice job.

I was actually thinking much the same about your Doubles bouts Hyde. That they need to be spiced up? Because they totally do. My Doubles Divicion as a whole needs spicing up, what with only 3 active teams thanks to everyone basically killing each other.

Haha. Well, in that case I would recommend re-working the bouts using elements of the handicap matches. I haven't really had time to sit down and think of anything, but I think I'll have 5 different 5 minute rounds with each team deciding who will fight that round.
Not sure if I want to make it so that you must KO or SUB both guys or just one. Only having to defeat one might cut down on the chances for injuries.
