Didn't really know where else to put this. Starting in 2097, I'm going to run an annual King of the Deathmatch tournament tentatively called "Galactic King of the Deathmatch"...better title pending.
My thought is, if a CAGE MATCH title is fine...why not up the ante a bit once a year, and instead of a title, give someone the ultimate bragging rights as the most vicious, sadistic, and sickest wrestler in the GWF. Right now, I'm toying with what I'll be using for matches. I figure I'll use the Turnbuckle Shock match, the Barbwire Cage, Torture Chamber...but I want more ideas. Nothing like "Three cells fourty chairs"...realistic, but at the same time violent.
Any ideas?

I think the 4 Weapons of Destruction Match should be the final match of the tournament.

What I think I'll do...is like, combine various matchtypes. Like, for the opening round, I'll have each match have barbwire rules, but add in another stipulation, like Bullrope, or Brass Knuckles, or something to that effect.
Second round I'll add stuff like Four weapons, and maybe Turnbuckle Shock...final I'm still unsure about. Thinking either Barbwire Cage, or Torture Chamber.
I don't want everyone in the tournament injured, but by god, if I'm going to do this, I want everyone bleeding at the very least!

Chris Beller came up with a sick and twisted version of the Torture Chamber Match that I think would be perfect for your tourney. I'll e-mail it to you

....Yeah, I think this'll do nicely. When you have me going "HOLY CRAP" when reading all the weapons, it's sorta violent.
Two things about it though, the 20 side dice is something I sorta...don't got. I wouldn't even know where to look for one...Nor do I know what one looks like...
The second thing, is I'm unsure how pinning works. I get that you have to get the opponent three tokens, and then they start rolling "pin", but I don't get if it works like a regular Torture Chamber from there, or what. Me stupid, or something.
Thanks though, if I can find a dice, I'll be using this for sure.

If you go to wizards.com, they have a dungeons and dragons page, go there. They have a 20 sided die on the left hand side of the screen. Click on it. It gives you a free dice roller window.

I'm sure you can find a 20-sided die at any gaming or comic book store. Maybe even a toy store? I've never bought one either, as I've never played this match, although I plan to in the future. Maybe you could tweak the chart to use 3d6 instead of a 20-sided die? As for the pinning, here's what I would do differently... First, you must accumulate 3 tokens, so let's say if your Cage Rating starts out at 1, it would have to get up to 4 for you to even have a chance of losing. At this point, the rolling of the 3 dice comes into play. If the combined roll of 3 dice is ABOVE the wrestler’s Cage Rating, he is still "alive" in the match. If the roll is BELOW his Cage Rating, he can't continue and the opponent wins the match. The defensive wrestler has a total of 3 separate chances to stay alive. After the first roll, the HIGHEST rolled # remains calculated for each subsequent roll, while the other two dice are re-rolled. (Example: Defensive wrestler has a Cage Rating of 11, roll one sees dice rolls of 6, 2 & 1, which is under 11, so re-roll the other 2 dice, adding 6 (the highest roll) to the next calculation). Should the defensive wrestler fail to roll over his Cage Rating after the third roll, he is deemed "unable to continue". The opponent has won the match. That's the way I do my Last Man Standing Matches and it seems to work well for those. It may read complicated, but once you do it a couple of times it's pretty simple.

Tweaking the rules for 3D6 doesn't ever let you roll ones though.
Living in a fairly large suburb of LA, I can say I've only seen D20s at game stores like RPG shops and stuff. Never at a comic store.
You can get them at bookstores in D&D boxed sets or D&D Miniature starter sets which you can get anywhere they sell minis though, but that's a lot of extra stuff to buy.
RPG.net's store has some awesome dice you can buy. I'm thinking of getting a set of chrome D6es for COTG....BLING BLING

One of my faves is a 4 weapons of destruction match inside a cirrus cell.. The weapons are all strapped to the sides of the cage. I call it the THUNDERDOME!

I went ahead and ran the event...No super Torture Chamber, due to not being able to find a d20 to buy in time. Maybe next year.
I'm happy with how brutal, and bloody it all came out myself.
