I always just played it as so:

-Into the ropes was "whip into barbwire-3 (add 1)".
-Any moves suggesting "into ropes", "off the ropes" or such would become automatic Lvl-3 moves.
-Use Titan Death rules, use Cage Ratings.
-Loser is injured for 1d6/2 (round up) cards.
