I don't particularly like the official TDM rules because in the old days, a TDM lasted until one guy could no longer stand. If a pin was made, the pinned wrestler had to get to his feet before the count of ten or the match was over. If he made it, the match continued. You could have a dozens of pins but no winner. So I changed things up a bit
Rules:
No DQ
Both wrestlers start with a pin rating of 2
When a successful pin is rolled the pinned wrestler rolls two dice. If the roll is 10 or higher, assume the referee reached ten and the wrestler couldn't get to their feet. The opponent wins. Loser is injured for 2 cards.
If the roll is less than 10, assume the downed wrestler got to their feet. Add one to their pin rating and continue with the opponent rolling on Level 3 Offense.
lf a wrestler's pin rating reaches 12, assume they are knocked out and lose automatically.
This makes guys like The Sheik very dangerous as then can OBJECT +1 you to death. But it's cool because if it was no DQ, why wouldn't they just go to town on the other guy.
This way you really have to beat a guy half to death and the chances of a cheap quick victory are dramatically reduced.
I had a match between Inoki and Sheik and Inoki was killed. Sheik CAMEL CLUTCHED and stabbed him into unconsciousness.
Thoughts?

I'd recommend going to the Specialty Match Archive in the Files section of the COTG Legends group. There are over 100 matches to chose from. For Texas Death style matches I'd go with the Last Man Standing match over there. tinyurl.com/6ktg2
