Just attended TNA's FIRST TIME EVER live event in the state of Ohio last nite. I've never been to Troy, but it was a great show, and I'm posting some results here for those interested...
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Elix Skipper & Petey Williams (high spots throughout, as anticipated)
Shark Boy pinned James Storm following a stunner (nice touch when Sharky & THE REF worked together and double-teamed Storm, I'd never seen a regular help a wrestler to that extent--a definite crowd-pleaser)
Awesome Kong beat Jackie Moore with her "Awesome Bomb" finisher. (Kong gave her ringside companion a spinning backfist afterward... Strange to say the least)
AJ & Tomko defeated LAX (Tomko really stole the show... His name echoed through the crowd in this one. Afterward, it was announced that he & AJ would sign autographs at the merchandise booth. Class act and somewhat unbelievable considering they're "heels")
Johnny Devine pinned Jay Lethal using the ropes (The amount of "You Suck" chants in this match really floored me. Apparently Ohioans REEEAAALLY HATE Devine, though definitely not as much as Robert Roode)
Booker T defeated Robert Roode with assistance from Traci Brooks, who came down to stop an intended chair shot. (Ever heard a chant of "BREAK HIS JAW" before? Talk about hatred!)
Kurt Angle knocked off Samoa Joe yet again (That's 4 times I've seen Kurt beat him now to Joe's lone win. Afterward, Angle thanked us all on behalf of TNA & himself personally, then invited everyone to line up for a photo with him in the ring. Again, a "heel" showing this kind of appreciation and reaching out to the fans was shocking. I thought that was the capper, then ALL of the wrestlers came out to sign autographs!)
TNA exceeded my expectations as far as being a classy organization. I paid $50 for a 3rd row seat and had THE TIME OF MY LIFE! I don't think the E could ever match what they did last nite as far as the INCREDIBLE AMOUNT of wrestler interaction for the price... All I can say is Damn Good Stuff! If anyone hasn't been to a TNA show before, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

I thought about going to see this show but with ROH being in Dayton I had to turn down TNA. Sorry I've been to every ROH Dayton show and I will pick them always.

Nice review... Might have convinced me to drive 15 minutes down the road to the Eastwood Expo Center to catch them tonight if I had more than $5 on me.

I wanted to go to this, but I already had ROH tickets. By the way, ROH was probably better.

What is this ROH company I keep hearing about? Are they even on TV? Do they have ANYBODY recognizable? Have any of their "talent" held a major title anywhere outside their little Indy fed??? JMello, how can you say ROH was probably better? I find any talk of ROH being better than ANYTHING to be damn funny ;D!!! Wanna glorify ROH? Do it on the ROH thread, not here where TNA fans frequent.

They have those guys still wrestling for them right now? I didn't know ROH guys held major championships prior to GOING THERE, I thought they LEFT THERE before winning any !

Knap, if by your "End of argument" comments mean to insinuate ROH is better because of former guys they had that became talented AFTER LEAVING their nothing fed -- that's as ridiculous as you still sporting that San Diego avatar. (How many Super Bowls have they won, BTW)? Aside from all that, I wondered if ROH HAS anybody recognizable (not past tense, but PRESENT), and if any of THEIR talent (as in current, NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S) has held major gold... You guys should stop worrying about where to put choices A, B, C, D, E, F, G & H on LOW Bootlegs and learn how to actually read again.

Sorry I missed this thread for awhile, thanks for shutting down the idoit that is Luv4Talia. If you want to talk about their current talent, Joey Mercury just signed there, unless the WWE Tag Titles don't count as a major title? Not sure, with your amazing abundance of wrestling knowledge, you may have never heard of WWE.

Knap, my first 5 cards I ever did suck -- and you'd know how, exactly? Haven't you done like 600+ bootlegs on LOWCreations & are even doing a (gasp) "legit" LOW set soon? The reason I ask is because apparently even with all your accolades -- YOU can't grasp the basics of card creation either, as pointed out (THIS JANUARY in fact) on your own site!!!
troy_xavier1377 wrote: "Speaking of ECWers, Public Enemy both have errors in their legality. Both have too many chart options... Masato Tanaka and Jerry Lynn have an into the ring listing on their cards (obviously should be into the ropes) Rhino has four chart situations One of 911's out of the rings should be a (c) Pit Bull 2's out of the ring should be a (c)"
So when the voice of experience (without hypocrisy of rules violations himself) can call newbies fucking morons and say their "shitty" cards suck with more credibility than is apparent, let me know. Because for right now, I’m not losing any sleep over it!
And JMello, even though I hate the “E”--Mercury does count if current talent (as stated). Kudos for actual comprehension!

Oh my fucking God. This thread has taken a turn for the hilarious.
Now, I can appreciate Luv4Talia's hatred for the E (I share his opinion), but his shitting on ROH is out of line.
WTF dude. Seriously?
HALF of TNA's roster is made up of former ROH talent. And thats not even to mention that the other half of their roster features former WWE talent.
ROH might as well be a developmental fed for TNA with all the workers they taken from that company.
And there is a reason for that in case you haven't noticed. ROH is probably the best independent promotion to come along in a very long time, and they, throughout the course of their existance have done an awesome job of producing young talent. They've done such a great job at it that companies like the E and TNA have taken notice and hired some of their top talent away in recent years.
TNA has been snatching talent away from ROH for the same reason WWE and WCW took talent away from ECW back in the day. So if you're gonna shit all over ROH, you might as well shit all over TNA as well.
To say guys like Smaoa Joe and CM Punk became talented when they left ROH is seriously one of the most retarded things I have ever read on this, or any other board.

BTW, wasn't Samoa Joe still working shows for ROH while he was TNA's X Division Champ?
That counts right?

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I am not a TNA fan, or a WWE fan, or a ROH fan- I am a WRESTLING fan.
I want to see every federation put out quality, entertaining product regardless of who they are of where they came from.
WWE is the gold standard; not necessarily always the "best" product, but the standard by which all others are measured.
TNA has been a disappointment to many of us who would love to see top quality product compete with the "E" on a national level. They have provided some major exposure for new stars like Styles, Samoa Joe, Daniels, Homicide, and the likes. Their booking has been inconsistent, so the product didn't take off as quickly as they might have liked. This forced them to bring in more recognizable names such as Sting, Angle, Christian, Booker and others. In some cases this played better than others. They continue to make questionable decisions, like booking a house show very close to a ROH show the same night here in Ohio; that's where JMello's ROH reference came from. I would have gone to both shows if they were on different nights; why TNA booked the same night is a mystery.
ROH is a terrific product with less exposure. The booking is solid, the stars are fresh, and they have produced lots of young talent. I think as wrestling fans, ROH deserves our praise, and that doesn't mean anyone is badmouthing TNA.
Interestingly, the guy who calls himself "Luv4Talia" doesn't recognize that one of the innovations which ROH has championed is the resurgence in women's wrestling. Not the silicon-enhanced diva matches that the "E" puts on, but gals who are athletic and dedicated to wrestling. I don't know if Talia is a product of Shimmer, but a lot of the gals in the TNA came from SHimmer, which has been supported by ROH since its inception. How can you love Talia and disrespect ROH?

Only one promotion employs Kevin Nash. That promotion is TNA. Therefore, TNA is the best promotion. It's science.

amazingbadger...
??
If you read you might judge. But, you choose to read.
DMK II...
I appreciate and respect your post (sincerity, not sarcasm). I went a little over the top in defending TNA and in so doing, I sunk to the same level as some here on this board. When Kelly invited me to the Filsinger Community, she warned me about some of the guys who live on here. I've been on only TNA & Bootleg topics since Day 1, and haven't went jumping forums with the "my fed can beat up your fed" adolescent mentality. But somebody came to a TNA thread I started, boasting about their fed's show being "probably better". Would've, Could've, Should've ignored it... Didn't. I Stated my opinions with room for debate, but without calling anyone a "fucking moron" (Knapik -- BTW, I can't believe someone so belligerent and intolerant of others is going to be doing an official LOW set for Filsinger. A little more professionalism, perhaps, should be in order) or an "idiot" (JMello). But then again, I tend to hold myself to higher standards. Name calling? LOL. Anyway, DMK II -- excellent rebuttal. On a side note, Michigan better get you-know-who... I hate the SUCKeyes & Big Blue needs to restore the order in the Big Ten to the way it was in the “Cooper Era”!!!
daytondave...
Talia might have been on some Shimmer DVDs (Kelly would definitely know). I caught onto her from WEW, from there I scoured YouTube (3PW, New Jersey, etc.), grabbed the “Dangerous Divas” Talia Madison DVD from High-Spots.com, Payed to Download some of her individual matches, and I continue to support her on TNA (even though I’m disappointed in her lately). But backing an individual--regardless of how you feel about their former employer, should in no way be construed as disrespecting the individual. That‘s like a college grad who worked for Wendy’s part time while going to school disassociating themselves much later in life from anyone who ever worked for McDonald’s.
bigeasy...
You are seriously mistaken in your comments! You refer to TNA as Nash’s employer. But he has only one boss ...and that’s BIG KEV!
