"TNA is running a Montreal Screwjob angle for their tour of Canada next week where Kurt Angle demanded to not have a Canadian ref for his TNA Title defenses against Christian Cage in Cage's home country of Canada. In TNA announced that Earl Hebner will be the ref for those matches. "
OHGODWHY?!

Note to all bookers: stop aggrovating the Canadians, it's not funny anymore. Aggravating Canadians is always funny. It's almost as fun as aggravating a certain douchebag Cardinals fan. ;D

After having a measure of cautious optimism after TNA went to 2 hrs, I'm finding myself very down on them again. It just appears impossible for them to do anything coherent or innovative.
And when I say innovative, I don't mean reindeer ladder matches and candy cane pole matches.

The reason is simple, Vince Russo.
Swarm has said to me that he thinks Russo is actually working for Vince McMahon and trying to drive TNA right into the ground.
While I'm not sure I agree, you can see the logic:
Russo takes over booking for WCW -- WCW has its worst run of storylines/angles, then folds & is bought by McMahon.
TNA starts to develop some of its younger stars then Russo is hired. He signs every dinosaur castoff he can find, buries the young guys and TNA is sucking worse than ever.

Here's my problem with the whole Vince Russo thing. I find it hard to believe that the Jarretts, Dixie Carter, Terry Taylor, etc. would hire a controversial writer and let him call the shots. A lot of this stuff reeks of Russo stupidity, but do you guys really think that the powers that be are letting him run the show? That's where my optimistic for TNA gets even lower -- whichever way that question is answered, it doesn't say much about the people who run TNA. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a single person in power there who has the capability of doing things intelligently, uniquely, and successfully. I think the blame goes to a lot more people than just Russo.

A while back Dixie said most of the booking was done by Jarrett and Mantell. Is that not the case any longer?

I think the problem is, nobody knows who is responsible for some of this stuff...With WWE it's easy, no matter who has the idea it has to go through Vince...So if a storyline goes nowhere, or someone gets pushed, or someone gets buried, or a show sucks, or a show is great, ultimately, Vince is responsible because last I heard, EVERYTHING goes through him before it goes on the air...
TNA, to my knowledge, doesn't have that...I would assume Carter would be that person, but no-one has come out and said "Dixie Carter okay's all the stoylines and outcomes"...
The point is, Although it looks like a Russo job, there's no way of really knowing who writes what...For all we know it could be Jarrett and Mantell saying "Let's do this because it's something Russo would do"...
Either way, I would sooner endure an Awesome Kong miscarriage angle than relive another "Montreal Screwjob", and I Really REALLY do **NOT**[/i] want to see Awesome Kong in any sort of miscarriage angle...

I think the real problem is Jarret and Mantell with influcences from Russo. Alot of people are saying Russo is simply the scapegoat for Jarret and Mantell. Which I wouldn't be surprised if it's the case.
