Actually, everything I read was that the whole X-division idea was his and that eventually he would give the rub to Sabin in the end to push him into the upper tier. But he changed his mind and squashed the division. What is really stupid is that they are doing the same thing with the X-Division vs the most overrated team of all-time. That's just internet speculation though. In the end, it falls on management and the booking team. What kills me with the 'Bury the X Division" comncept is that..and I'm ony guessing...they are trying to get across the idea that the older members of the roster are 'threatened' by 'all the attention the X Division gets.' But if you watch the shows, the X division is barely mentioned anymore and the matches don't get nearly the time as the rest of the cards. You could argue that Gail Kim is getting more of a push than Jay Lethal lately. So..how do you take the jealousy aspect seriously when there's nothing to be jealous about?

It's also specualtion that Nash had nothing to do with it. I'm pretty sure being a big name that he has a lot of leeway with his character. To think otherwise is to be a smark (OK, just put that in here to beat on a dead horse that hasn't been beat in awhile). The X-Division could be great with AJ, Daniels, Sabin, Joe, Kaz, and Shelly. Cut the dead weight with Gay Lethal, Dutt, and Shark Bowl. Plus having to have ten X-division guys beat down the Dudleys? Who Cares?? Let the Dudleys wrestle in the Over the hill segment of the tag division and have actual matches with the guys that matter.

Right....but my point is that even if Nash pulled out of the storyline, it was the booking team's responsibility because A) they should've seen that coming ( especially since every net fan who read about the storyline before it started predicted Nash would refuse to do the job ) and B) even after the Nash/Sabin feud didn't play out, they had the opportunity to do something more than just drop the storlyine completely. Even the Nash/Dutt/Lethal promos that came out of it *could've* worked except that, after it built up and they teased Nash aligning himself with MCMG against Dutt & Lethal, they dropped the storyline again and pretended it never happened.

Sorry, but I nearly blew my drink from my nose when I read this. I don't know why, but it just came across funny. Very reminiscent of the first of many times that I said "HBGay." ;D

I don't follow TNA religiously by any means but went to Genesis because well I love wrestling. I had a great time. It wasn't a great card but it was a fun 3 hours and there were a few really good matches.
I don't know how these came across on TV but here goes a quick rundown.
Black Reign vs Abyss was not very good.
Steiners vs Tomko & AJ was also not good. Both Steiners need to give it up. Loved them back when, but now they're borderline atrocious.
Kaz vs Christian was the match of the night that had some brutal high spots. As a side not, I was rooting for Christian as Kaz does absolutely nothing for me.
Machine Guns vs Dudleys was a really good match and Bubba, er Ray was funny as hell throughout. Glad to see the Gunners go over.
The womans match was butt ugly. That ODB chick has got to be the most annoying woman on the planet. God I couldn't stand to watch her.
Sonjay Dutt vs Jay Lethal. Not a fan of either, especially Dutt but this was a nice match that really impressed me.
Joe vs Roode seemed like it dragged on and on and on, well you get the picture. Neither impressed me. Ms. Brooks got knocked out at ringside (legit) from an accidental shot from a camera.
Booker & Sting vs Angle & Nash was also not a very good match. Was good to see Angle, Sting and Booker, but Nash was horrible.
A few wrestlers were sitting in the loft (I guess you'd call it) behind us throughout the night drinking beers. Eric Young, B.G. James & James Storm OR Chris Harris (Not that familiar with too many TNA guys to recognize them). I should've brought my LOW card and tried to get BG to sign it. Oh well.
Anyways, mediocre at best card, but overall a pretty fun night.

When he compares TNA to WCW 1999, I think he's critising them on the choice of homegrown talent they are pushing, kind of like when WCW pushed Billy Kidman in 99. If you're going to have homegrown talent go over Christian Cage, make sure it's someone who is better known than Kaz. I think the whole "TNA fans don't know who Kaz is," was more of an exaggeration, that he's not as well known. Me personally, I don't have a problem with them pushing Kaz, I just think this push is a bit rushed. I think Joe would have been a better pick to have get the title shot, and have Kaz continue his feud with Roode. While they've done Joe vs angle 4 times, this is still a match I would pay to see. I don't care enough about Kaz yet to see him face Angle. Thank you. It seems that people just attack everything I say and don't look at the overall picture of what the point is. They have Kaz win a BIG match (as big as a TNA match can be) with basically no build up. You have to pick the right "homegrown" guys to push, it's not rocket science. Kaz isn't gonna get new viewers or boost the ratings because it came out of nowhere. TNA is WCW 1999. It is. It just is. Look at who's been the main events for the past year. 90% of them are WWE/WCW castoffs who are way past their prime. Senshi would've been great with a nice run as X Champ but they gave him no facetime, after he won the belt, he fought on 2 PPVs and didn't even use his finisher, and then took the belt off him. Why bother with guys like Black Reign? It serves no purpose. He was barely watchable 10 years ago as Goldust. They need to take Raven, Runnels, The Steiners, The Dudleys, Hall, Nash, and Sting -- fire them and move forward with their young guys. I agree with this 100%.. I'd be OK with 1 or two of the old guys sticking around to help push the young guys, but they shouldn't be the focus.

I like Abyss, I think he plays the 'Kane" role well, but he's just not believable as a monster.
For one thing, he NEVER wins... you can only job so many times before people stop thinking of you as anything but one of those guys the REAL talent beats up (see Rhino). That could be fixed, but...
You can't make him bigger. He can play a 'monster' in RoH, where the average guy is alot smaller, but in TNA, it just doesn't make a lot of sense... I remember when the did the Sting angle (which was very good until the lame ending) thinking they should have kept them further apart so it wasn't obvious Sting was bigger than he was.
