I don't know why....but I'm actually looking forward to seeing Scott Hall return this week.
He's old, no doubt well past his prime.....but I bet he still can cut some great promos.....and at least looks close to being in respectable shame.
Hey yo.

I put the over-under at 4 weeks before the implosion.

Scott Hall is a great performer... when he decides to show up. Hearing that Scott Hall is coming to TNA will definitely spark TNA. However, if he has a problem, and he's gone in a couple or Months / weeks / days, most people will go back to not caring. If he can stay sober for a year, I'll get more excited. Until then, I don't really care that much. I'll be more excited to see Booker T or RVD to show up.

A straightened-out Scott Hall could bring a lot of charisma to the product. IF he can pull off being straightened out. And I'm still praying that Booker (or RVD) is that mystery partner!

Based on the second part of Stings clue "He's worked with you in the past and he hates you." I'm thinking RVD, but who knows these days.

I'm guessing its Booker T...since that last program before he became King Bookah was the feud with Angle where he "stalked" Sharmell.

Not to mention, they said the ring will be filled with 30 combined world titles. I know RVD doesn't have that many world championships. On a side note, it seemed like Hall's appearance was one time only for nostalgia. Honestly, I thought it was pretty cool. If this was Nash's idea, props to Nash. (okay I said it, and I actually meant it, however, this doesn't make him the world's greatest, Big Easy)

That was a nice little segment. It was good to see The Bad Guy back in the ring. I was and still am hoping we see a little more of him, since he's been wrestling again and appears able.....but it sure did seem like a limited engagement last night.

Not to mention, they said the ring will be filled with 30 combined world titles. This would tend to support Booker T then considering all his World Tag Team Titles.

Also, has anyone else noticed that the rise of Kevin Nash coincided with my announcement of my man-crush on him on these boards? I think if I turn the man-crush up to 11 for these next couple weeks, he has a decent shot at winning the title here...

Seriously, this is his fourth match since he returned April of 2006. One of those matches was against a midget. What on earth makes you think this guy should hold the title?

I have to agree that the Scott Hall thing seemed like a one-time deal, although I really hope it isn't. I recently watched a near-three-hour-long shoot interview with him (RFVideo maybe?) where he said he's been wrestling in Puerto Rico for Carlos Colon's company, so I would think he's in pretty decent shape (hopefully), if he does stick around. Besides, he can cut some great promos - it seemed like that shoot interview was a three-hour promo. As for Bookah being the mystery partner... I live in the suburbs of Houston, TX, and Booker is actually on TV here a LOT more than you'd think, especially as it relates to his PWA federation. The most recent commercials include having TNA X-Division Champion Jay Lethal headlining one of his shows, as well as another taking place in Beaumont where the main event will be Booker vs. Christian Cage. It seems like he's pretty close with TNA these days, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him show up at Genesis. ... although, RVD would be awesome!

Scott Hall looked absolutely horrible. He looked like he walked out of rehab 2 days ago. Kevin Nash looks like father time. Pathetic.
When you're trying to build ratings on guys that have grey hair and beards, it just isn't going to work.
This is another reason why Vince Russo sucks. All the main event guys are not the homegrown guys. That's where their strength could be if booked right.
Angle and Cage should be main eventers, they've got some steam left. But Scott Hall and Kevin Nash? Give me a break.
They were on the downside of their career 8 years ago.
Until TNA starts giving the young guys a push, they'll never be anything worth watching.
Their best tag -teams are the Steiner Brothers and The Dudleys. Nothing else needs to be said.
The best thing they can do with these older wrestlers is help put the young guys over. But they never do.

My point is that TNA is booking 2 guys in the main event (well, 1 for sure) who are WAY too old to be main eventers. They have some guys on their roster that they could build around, but they will always play 2nd fiddle to the dinosaurs.

i don't disagree about the older guys hogging the spotlight....but here's my thoughts on Hall.
1) Given how he looked before (see the pics above), what he's put himself through, and his age, I thought Scott Hall looked good. He can still kick butt on the mic, and it was a nice nostalgic moment to see him and Nash. His bit with Angle was good too. Karen....well, she's just annoying. Hot, but annoying.
2) I'm not a Nash fan, but those guys were a key part of something that changed the face of wrestling, and earned their spots as wrestling legends....allowing them a bit of nostalgia time is a good thing. And if Nash wants a few more matches before he hangs it up, I guess why not. I'd be sick if they put a title on him, but a few going away matches are harmless for him or Hall.
3) I think Hall's days as a full-timer (certainly a main eventer) are long gone....but I do think it'd be cool to see him wrestle a little bit. He's able to, based on his recent Puerto Rico matches.

Not too agree too much with Payback (too much is bad for bidness), but it is sicking to think that if Hall is the partner the main event for this young upstart company would feature a 49 year old, 2 48 year olds and a 38 year old. So much for young upstarts. As much as I rip on ROH, I wish guys that AJ, Daniels, and Shelly would say f* TNA and go to ROH to get it off the ground on a more national basis. If this could happen I think it would be slow going but they'd kill TNA in no time with some TV exposure.
