Well, we can all universally agree that no matter what anyone thinks of Cena, he's not one-quarter the f***-up Kurt Angle is.

Kinda crazy things he was boasting for being so banged up. Mark Kerr vs. Kurt Angle anyone?

I have no respect or pity for someone who would drive drunk/high. I mean hell, go get wasted, toke up, hell snort something so long as you're only hurting yourself. But don't drive and put innocent people at risk because of your stupidity.

But don't drive and put innocent people at risk because of your stupidity. Kurt Angle is a loser. If Angle had just gone to a bar and gotten s*******d but then either got a ride home, took a cab, or even walked, then it really wouldn't be anybody's business. But like Offspring said, by driving Angle put innocent people at risk (in this town my friend on the police force says we have drunk drivers 24 hours a day because most of the bars are open 24 hours) and that isn't cool. Once again, drinking and driving sucks.

I wonder if Russo will add this into one of the angles. Maybe show him pulling into the arena, and his wife is driving. (since he refused the blood test, he automatically loses his drivers licence for a year, guilty or not) Maybe Samoa Joe makes fun of him for losing his licence, or even Sting tries to talk him into giving up alcohol and becoming born again. I know this all sounds silly and unrealistic, but this is Vince Russo we're talking about.

On the bright side (for him at least), once TNA goes belly up Angle could always try out for the St. Louis Cardinals.
He'd fit right in.

I just lost respect for Angle. Coming from 2 generations of alcoholics and seeing a really bad drinking and driving accident years ago, I have no empathy for people that stupid. He should be glad I'm not in charge of the fed. I'd take the title from him and fire him on the spot.
I hope he gets his act together before he ends up on the 'ever-growing list.'
Take care,
Jay

Take care, Jay Taking the belt off of him I understand. Perhaps, he should be suspended, but firing him? That's a bit extreme don't you think? I don't think what he did is excusable at all, and I too hope he gets his act together. If he were responsible for driving wrestlers, or employees of TNA, firing him would be a realistic decision. However, his job is entertaining people. Since he most likely will lose his driver's lisence for a year (just for refusing a blood test, guilty or not) his wife is currently under contract with TNA and she could most likely drive him. Even if she couldn't there would be someone else on the roster who could.

No, I'll stick with the firing. Overall, it might be a little extreme, but I have no tolorance for that crap. If what Swarm posted is 100% true (not calling you a liar, Swarm, just leaving the possibility open that we may not have all the facts), and Angle put people's lives on the road at risk because he's stupid, then I wouldn't want him working for my company.
I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's just how I feel about it. Either get him help or get him the #$#@ out of the federation before he kills someone.
Take care,
Jay

Take care, Jay I'm not sticking up for drunk-drivers, but are you aware that a person can fail a field sobriety test because he smells like alcohol, cannot say the alphabet backward when attempting to do so or is unable to balance on one foot for as much as 30 seconds? It is also conceivable that a person can have as little as a beer and a half and be legally intoxicated. Angle is an idiot and has shown over the past few years that he has some serious problems, but it isn't really fair to paint him as the automotive equivalent of David Berkowitz just because a cop, who knew who he was, may have arrested him for nothing more than smelling like he had drank a couple beers.

Yeah, as I read the details of the case, I'm honestly not sure if the police have much of one.
For one thing, he wasn't pulled over--he had his plate identified by a witness and cops came to his house. Once he's inside, he's pretty much got an airtight case of plausible deniability. "No, officer, I only started drinking after I got home." Unless the original witness can make a convincing argument on the stand--and many times it's an issue to even get them to show up--the case is toast.
Now, refusing the sobriety test might screw him partially. I don't know the PA laws but here in Ohio if you refuse to take the BAC test, that's an automatic one-year license suspension case closed end of story no ifs ands or buts. Most other states are similar in that regard. (Googlecheck: Yep, same deal in PA.)
It's also going to make him guilty in the court of public opinion, which in Angle's case might well trump the court of law.
So while Angle quite likely broke the law, proving this case is going to be exceedingly difficult.
