Yay! More lame attempts to try and improve the product by bringing in WWE castoffs. Take the following for what it's worth.
Source: PWInsider.com
TNA Wrestling is currently in preliminary negotiations with former WWE champion Brock Lesnar.
Kurt Angle is the one who is brokering the deal and bringing the 2 sides together. Angle has a very good relationship with Lesnar and has tried several times to convince him to join TNA.
Dixie Carter has already had one meeting with Lesnar in Nashville to discuss the possibility of working together. Carter made it very clear to Lesnar that she understands Brock's MMA involvement and would be 100% flexable to his schedule. TNA is hoping to get SpikeTV to help pay Lesnar, as they did for the massive contracts given to Kurt Angle and Sting.
Brock Lesnar actually contacted WWE early this year about a 1-time appearance at WrestleMania. He offered to job cleanly to whoever WWE wanted - but he wanted too much money and Vince McMahon was still furious about the way Lesnar left WWE 3 years ago and the back-and-forth lawsuits that followed.
If a deal is made, Lesnar is expected to start with the company this fall, when TNA iMPACT! expands to 2 hours on Thursday nights. This would be a tremendous acquisition for TNA.

At least Lesnar isn't a "WWE Castoff". The E would have him back in an instant if he'd be willing to come back.

I really don't know what to say to this.
Lesnar looked horrible during his match with Angle in Japan and it was clear that he isn't motivated at all. His attitude problems have been exactly the same in Japan and with lock room morale all ready going down the toilet, I don't think bringing Brock Lesnar is going to help anything.
God bless you, TNA. You freakin' trainwreck.

I would buy a TNA PPV for Lesnar vs. Joe. That's probably more because of Joe than Lesnar, mind you, but still, I'd do it.

I would buy a TNA PPV for Lesnar vs. Joe. That's probably more because of Joe than Lesnar, mind you, but still, I'd do it. You know that they would have Joe completely job out to Lesnar just to eventually get out of his long-term contract a month later. This is why I would not want Lesnar anywhere near a TNA ring or anywhere else.

*sigh* Yeah, deep down inside, I know that. But there's part of me that believes that they'd actually book a sensible program with the two of them and that Brock Lesnar could be the Brock Lesnar of old and the match could be awesome.

Lesnar-Joe would be sweet...It'd be cool to see Lesnar get the belt, then finally see Joe capture the strap in a stellar match from Lesnar. Wishful thinking though, as I've been waiting for him to get the belt for a long time now.

I am not a fan of lesnar. He and Goldberg stunk up Wrestlemania a few years back, oh and I hate Goldberg just the same.

I thought Lesnar (up until his final match) was great in the WWE. Better than Angle during Angle's rookie year. Better than Akiyama in *his* rookie year. Charisma to spare, obviously great athleticism, killer look, knew how to work, and as an added, ultra-rare bonus, he was booked almost perfectly.
But he was horrible in Japan (for the most part...somehow he got a...not a good, but a watchable match with Akebono of all people). His attitude stinks. I don't fault him for not being a mark to THA BIZNESS and I don't give a rip that he "turned his back on it" or whatever, but still...if he's going to keep coming back, the morose, lackadaisical mindset has got to go.
He's been gone from American television for too long for fans to really get pumped up about a return, especially since a decent chunk of said fans are probably aware that he's one problem away from another walkout. I highly doubt he'll agree to a job to anybody except for Angle, and that's going to help no one.
If he were committed to wrestling, this would be a major signing. He's clearly proven over the past 4 years that he's not, so it's going to be another HUGE STORY-turned-non-issue.
If they somehow do get him to put over Joe and/or Abyss, then *something* worthwhile will have been accomplished, but that's a best-case scenario.

I wonder how many midcards they would have to release to afford Lesnar.. As long as they held on to Shark Boy I would be fine with it.

I like Lesnar...TNA doesn't know how to book ANYONE!! But I still think this would be a good move.
