Does anyone else have a problem with this whole forcing down alcohol down Rhyno's throat thing and playing off alcoholism in his family and whatnot?
I know wrestling isn't "real", but I just think it's a tasteless angle. And it was tasteless when they pulled it with Scott Hall in WCW.

The E did this years ago when Jake Roberts was supposedly fighting his demons and Vader attacked Roberts and Vader forced booze down Roberts throat. Does it make it right, no, but has it been done before by other promotions, yep.

Yes, and that's why I'll cheer for Rhino and boo the bad guys

Ever since Katie Vick, nothing seems tasteless anymore.
In all seriousness, you're right. This angle has Vince Russo written all over it. As I've mentioned, I've seen worse, but that doesn't mean I like it either.

Unless they repeated the storyline with Vader years later.

There was some sort of compromise where Jarrett and Crockett agreed to a short title reign for Lawler, but the plans fell thru. Before they fell thru, Lawler went out and said if he didnt' win the world title by the end of the year, he'd retire. In an angle late in the year, Lance Russell went to Lawler's house and found him drunk They had so many complaints to the station, since the show was the highest rated show in Memphis, they basically recanted the story

ROH also did an angle like this a few years ago with Raven and Tommy Dreamer duct taping C.M. Punk to the ropes and forcing a beer down his throat. Since he was straight edge it was pretty crazy.

I found on Impact Kurt in his red knickers (as Suzanne called them) doing gay type angles . Then beating everyone up for no real reason . More offensive .

I didn't have much of a problem with Scott Hall's angle. It had a few entertaining highlights like when Paul Wight tore the ring post out with Hall staggering in the ring and when Hall beer barfed all over Bischoff (whenever someone beer barfs on Bischoff I'm entertained). I can see how people wouldn't like it and I'd bet it would be less offensive if it were a wrestler w/o a drinking problem putting on an act. The offensive part seems to be that the wrestler's real problems are being exploited.
