"Jill Jarrett, wife of Jeff Jarrett, passed away this morning.
Funeral for Mrs. Jarrett wil be tomorrow May 24 at the Hendersonville Church of Christ on Rockland Rd. in Hendersonville, Tenn. Visitation with the family will be tonight May 23 at the Hendersonville Memorial Gardens and funeral home in Hendersonville, Tenn."
From Dave Meltzer
"Jill Jarrett, the wife of Jeff, passed away last night.
While we don't have a lot of details, she had been battling cancer on-and-off for many years and her health issues had gotten worse over the past two months.
For the past many weeks, Jeff had been by her side virtually 24/7. When she was hospitalized, he had been practically living in the hospital, and when he had to do TVs, he would stay with her as long as possible, they fly from Nashville or Orlando, do his segments early, and then he would rush back that night.
While most in TNA were aware of her situation to a degree and could readily see what was happening, he only talked in detail to a few people, such as Don West, hence some of West's comments on the air on television. I think some could see this, but the first interview Jeff did on the air when he came back was very emotional for him, for Mike Tenay conducting it and for West at the desk.
Jeff has young children and being someone in that same situation, I could only imagine what he's been going through during this ordeal. I simply couldn't imagine anything that could be worse.
We send our deepest sympathies to Jeff and his children."
My prayers go out to Jeff Jarrett and the Jarrett family.

If she's been suffering for that length of time, she's in a better place now.....and I wish the best for all the Jarrett family. I could tell the other week as well that Jeff Jarrett was genuinely emotional in his return, and referencing what the past few months had been for him.

Man, I looked quick at the subject from the main page and thought it said "Jeff Jarrett passes away", so I came in here expecting to see Swarm messing around. Instead I find this. Best of wishes to the Jarretts, especially the kids.

I would never mess around about someone dying. This news sucks. I am no Jarrett fan but I am pulling for him and his kids.

I feel for Jeff and his family in these trying times. I hope the following does not sound insensitive. For the last few years everyone has ripped Jarrett and how he is part of the reason that TNA sucks. They were trying to bring him back as a face for some reason and we all know that was not going to work.
With the way that the Internet is going, everyone is going to know and they will probably mention Jill's passing. This will probably lead to a rightful support for Jarrett in this time and when he returns to the ring he will see his biggest face pops of his entire career.
This false heat could lead to a lengthly face title run for Jarrett which I think would signal the end for TNA (although the end for TNA would happen soon enough without this happening).

Say what you want about Jarrett; at least he gave a crap about giving wrestling fans an alternative.
I can't even imagine what he just went through. God Bless His Family.

I also thought this was about Jeff at first glance (although Swarm pulling a fast one didn't occur to me).
I'm not a fan off Jeff, but it's never good when someone does, especially of cancer. I've seen enough of that in the past. (unless it's my father or grandfather...then I could care less, but that's a different subject).
I wish him and his family well.

Well, as people know, I am a Jarrett fan. It's tough to see something like this to happen to anyone, whether it's your favorite or least favorite. I'll keep the Jarrett family in my prayers

Are we really at the point in internet smarkdom where we have to say "Well I'm not a fan of his ringwork, but it sucks his wife died IMO!" I mean honestly....
I cannot imagine the pain of watching your wife pass from such an ugly disease. Here's hoping he is able to get through it and be there for his children.

No one here or on much of the Internet -knows- Jeff Jarrett....you make think you do based on his wrestling persona or that he owns/runs TNA. It's irrelevant. He's a guy who took care of his wife for years, worked his schedule around her, and now lost her.

That's just horrible. Jeff Jarrett has been one of the most successful players inside and outside of pro wres over the last decade. He's a smart businessman who has been unfairly criticized over the years for making shrewd practical decisions that were in the best interest of his top priority...his ailing wife and young children.
My heart goes out to him and his family.

I've been able to follow Jeff's career since Day 1 until now. Going to the matches at the Louisville Gardens, I've met people who have talked with Jeff on many occasions, and while many criticized him for getting his push due to it being his father's promotion, he was always humble. Everyone always said he was one to always sign autographs to the fans, etc.
So my thoughts go out to the Jarrett family. It's a real shame. Jeff is just around 40 years old, still young, so his wife couldn't be much older/younger. Sad...

Some people think that wrestlers are immortal and when you hear news like this, it just sticks right to you. I never hated the man but I always respected Jeff Jarrett. As someone whose family member passed away after a long bout with cancer, I can relate. Peace be with the Jarrett family at this time.
