I'm not sure if Kurt is the only Gold Medalist. Some sources say it's true, others false. The Iron Sheik says he won a gold but that's been proven false (I believe he was at one time an Olympic athlete, though).

No, but he did break a weightlifting record by lifting 900 pounds of weights off of the ground. Mark Henry did compete in the 96 Olympics but failed to win anything.

I think the athlete WCW had you might be thinking of is Chip Minton. He competed in the bobsled in the olympics in 1994 and 1998. He just missed the bronze 1998 and didnt medal in 1994. An interesting side note he flunked a drug test before the 2002 games.
The other guy you maybe thinking of is Frank Andersson who won bronze at the 1984 games in Greco Roman.
Olympic Gold Medalist in Wrestling.. although not regulars Karl Malone, Joe Frazier and Ali all had cameos in wrestling.

Willem Ruska and Anton Geesink can be added to the list--both gold medals in judo.

WCW had a medalist at one time he didn't last long, forget his name curious now somebody help me out... as hofclemons mentioned, Chip Minton. The guy was an INCREDIBLE athlete. Around 94-95, Jarrett was helping with WCW and they sent several training guys here (the Jarrett/Memphis) for seasoning. There was Maxx Muscle, The Gambler and Chip Minton, who was referred to as Mr. World Class. The guy had Kurt Angle ability and was head and shoulders above anyone here at the time (in athletic ability). IIR, wasn't Frank Anderson only shown on foreign broadcasts and never shown on US television.

Yeah Judo at the olympics . UK had a big star once Brian Jacks , I think he was . I'm sure he won some medals ? . And I'm also sure his daughter became a wrestler . She joined the old ECW before it ended ? Am I right here ?
