Akira Maeda = FAILURE.
Nobuhiko Takada = FAILURE.
Lou Thesz = FAILURE.
Mil Mascaras, Canek, Antonio Inoki, Sting, Nikita Koloff, Gary Albright, Mitsuharu Misawa, Bruiser Brody, and countless others = massive failures.
Anyway, Danielson is, in fact, a pro wrestler--a darned good one who makes money doing it, enough money to voluntarily decline WWE developmental contract offers. He does seem to be an oddball in real life, but he's a pretty refreshing change from your average OVW Metrosexual Musclehead of the Week.
(And do you really think the Great Khali was "dreaming of WrestleMania" when growing up in Pradesh, India? I'm doubting it. I'm doubting he was even "dreaming" of it in 2001 when he was wrestling for New Japan.)
TNA is horrible but not everyone in the WWE > everywhere else. Khali is not better than Danielson any more than Super Bowl Champion Joseph Addai is a better running back than LaDainian Tomlinson.
