FROM LORDS OF PAIN
TNA superstar and former member of Team Canada A-1 has been released from his contract with TNA. As is the case with the recently released Diamonds in the Rough, A-1 has not been used for quite some time.

I always liked A-1. Hopefully Vince picks him up. He would be great in ECW.

I saw that he was let go. I don't see it as a big loss.

That's a good move. Dude was chafe, they could stand to lose a couple more.

I thought that Russo could package him up as a parody of the Strange Brew guys and call him Eh-1. Comedy gold.

Agreed, he was nothing special at all...
Definitely the weak link when Team Canada was around. I enjoyed the work of all the rest...but when it came to A1...

What can you say about a guy who makes you think of a steak sauce when you hear his name?

With A1 gone TNA loses nothing. And I agree with Knapik they could lose a couple more. Couple with probably rather big paychecks like Tomko & Steiner & Nash. I would get rid of the Old Age Voodoo James Outaws and a few others. Clean house a bit.

Amen to the Outlaws/Voodoo whatever....they go from an awful storyline to an even worse one.
As for Nash, he's proven in the past he can be funny and/or compelling.....but now it's just painfully forced. The X-Division just continues to swirl down the toilet, with Nash, Backlund, etc doing the flushing.

I think A-1 had an upside. Nash, Backlund, Team 3-D, VKM, Steiner...NONE AT ALL. Before anyone starts to clean house they need to start with booking. Bad booking kills companies. Hire someone NEW. A breath of fresh air someone outside of the wrestling business. I have stated in the past that comic book writers would be a great place to start. Give it a shot.

I never really cared for A-1. Agree with ewt that he had more of an upside than a lot of the wrestlers TNA is pushing right now.

Yeah A1 had more to offer then those ya mentioned but less to offer then other talents that TNA is currently hardly using or using extremely wrong. So then we are back to the booking. YES YES YES a good booker is needed as far as a comic book person I dunno about that but I DO KNOW that they couldn't really do worse then the current happenings.
And yeah I left out 3D in my "cutbacks" post. I loved the Dudley Boys in ECW and WWE... but times are a changing and they should definitely be gone. Add Ray D-Von and Runt to the "should be axed" pile. I whole heartly agree.
10 MORE and it is .... "SUPERSTAR!" *strikes a Mary Katherine Gallagher pose*

I agree with everyone who doesn't like A-1, including myself.
Team 3-D is cool, though

A1 will not be missed at all. Is anyone else tired of seeing Team 3D together, try some singles competition or find new partners. TNA booking need major changes. It would help if they had someone who understood what wrestling fans want, not think they know what fans want.

I guess I'm the only one who liked A-1. He was one of the few TNA guys I liked.
