2 matches.
Can't count the Rhino - Raven non-match. So 2 matches.
I'm all for decent storylines sprinkled in, but jeez. It was all drama, no action.
Thanks, Russo!

Raven was actually AJ Styles...
With the best match of the night being Cage vs. Daniels...TNA really isn't saying much about their product. The X-Division Title match wasn't even interesting...
*sighs* I fear TNA is going the way of WCW...How I long for the days of the NWA.

I overall really liked WCW -- granted, I jumped ship at the low point of the Russo era, but even when the stories got over-involved, there were still really good matches week to week, thanks to the luchadores or the Japanese wrestlers or guys like Benoit......
Maybe it's the one hour format, but they tried to cram in every single storyline last night, and while some of them are decent stories, it's still -supposed- to be wrestling, not 100% soap opera.
I'm not surprised, since Russo is Russo and he sucks. But it's just disappointing. I used to get my quality in-ring wrestling fix from TNA every week, but so much for that.

Giving away a Christopher Daniels vs. TNA Champion/Ex WWE star free on TV is nothing short of backasswards stupidity. It's such a bad idea, it makes you wonder if Russo is purposely trying to bury TNA. Seriously.

Swarm - come on, everyone knows you are a closet TNA fan and actually watch every single week. Otherwise why would you be so angry about TNA being so bad?? We all know that you are secretly Vince Russo in disguise.
Come on, admit it.

Nah, if Swarm was Vince Russo, the rub-off effect of hanging out here in COTG land would result in better storylines.

You are right aquinas..I KNOW! Swarm is angry that Christian Cage and all the other ex-WWE guys went to TNA! That explains why he is so negative about TNA..he is afraid that Umaga is next.

I would die and go to heaven if I were ever able to see Umaga kick the crap of the TNA scrubs. I almost peed my pants just at the thought of it like 2 seconds ago...

Any chance that Umaga is going to win the title at the Rumble?
See how sad this is? I start a TNA post and now am talking WWE.

I agree with Swarm on this...
Not only did TNA give way a PPV main event quality match, they did so as a throw away match to enhance another feud.... Christopher Daniels is one of the top two or three homegrown guys TNA has, and he was treating like the Brooklyn Brawler here.
IF you have to do this, at least make it for the title, and maybe seed a few things for a feud down the road (after Christian is done with Sting and Abyss) but this, such silliness.

On a positive note, I still continue to dig James Mitchell -- he and Estrada bring back memories of the classic managers I grew up watching.

I think he has a chance to win it only to lose it back to Cena at WM. Not a real strong chance, but a chance since I think UT is winning the Rumble. If Umaga wins the belt, I could stomach an UT win...if not, I may throw up.

Umaga winning the title and then going on an even greater warpath leading up to WM would be phenemonal. Destroying people left and right, pummeling Cena......leading up to the big David v. Goliath showdown.
That would be sweet.

I think it could be resurrected if Umaga beats him for the title and then pummels him (and others) leading up to Wrestlemania.
If Cena beats him again this time, then a lot more of the mystique will be gone. I sure hope Umaga wins for that reason.

I'd think if they were gonna do that, someone else would have to chance Umaga, and Cena would feud with Batista... the David and Goliath thing was just done, and David won...
Maybe somebody like Kenny or Carlito? The downside being Umaga would be tough to book after...
