Except maybe for the people that stopped watching the show because of Over-McMahon...Same as those that stopped watching TNA for Over-Jarrett...I don't pretend that either of those don't exist...

I'd just like to point something out...a ton of you on here are constantly bringing up Vince McMahon's butt and his KMA club...you cry about it, complain about it, and talk about how much you hate it... you know what that means? That means Vince is doing his job. "Mr. McMahon" is a heel character on a television show...it's his job to get you, to hate that character... and it works brilliantly. I just wanted to point that out. Straight and to the point. Well said Swarm. Vince wants people to watch his show. Whether people like him or hate him, they're talking about him. And that, to me, is a job well done by very creative writing staff.

Meh..Splattercat actually said it best: "Except maybe for the people that stopped watching the show because of Over-McMahon...Same as those that stopped watching TNA for Over-Jarrett...I don't pretend that either of those don't exist..." The WWE lost a big chunk of their audience when the McMahon family feud overshadowed everything else in the company and the Invasion story was totally destroyed by turning it into McMahon vs. McMahon. Personally, I was very much into Raw earlier in the year and stopped watching regularly when DX/McMahon took over the show. You're not doing a good job playing a character if you are losing viewers.

I think it has to do more with MNF than anything else...the ratings always take a dip during football season.
wrestling is wrestling. if your a WWE fan, you watch it. if not, you don't.
that doesn't apply to everyone, but most everyone.

As for the show last night:
I really enjoyed the matches over-all. I still enjoy AJ/Daniels and I thought Christian/Rhino was excellent.
Bubba Ray cut an amazing promo; one of the most underrated promo guys in the business ever . Nash was gold. I thought those short videos hyping their roster were smart.
~HOWEVUH!.....I can't stand the VKM stuff. Not only is it stupid and pointless and makes TNA look like a second-rate fed, but even if it was a good idea, you have now spent several weeks pushing THE JAMES GANG! Their TV time is so limited, TNA just shouldn't be doing this. Obviously a residual effect of being buddy-buddy with Russo.
Kurt looked rusty. Not terrible, but not his best.
It was incredibly dumb to have you #1 Contender drop a match cleanly days before his ttile shot on PPV. Once again, TNA protects no one on its roster.
Goodzilla summed up the last video best: "They just are highlighting the wrong points and aiming for the wrong audience. Nothing major."

I generally agree. Historically, MNF hurts Raw. (except of course, that doesn't explain ratings dips here on the West Coat, where the MNF game is ending just as Raw is beginning, but in general. ) But if you look back, using Vince and Shane and Steph too much cost them a lot of viewers during the Invasion storyline. There was a noticeable and sharp decline over the course of 18 months or so. Taking the focus off the wreslters and keeping it on the McMahons for too long hurt their product and their ratings. Vince plays a heel well, but people get sick of the repetition.

This type of humor is what drove me away from the WWE. I can get my humor from many different shows, and do, but I watch wrestling for wrestling. Rahl

Rahl The entire Nash skit was, quite literally, toilet humor. He also showed his bare ass last night. Is this the kind of stuff you were saying TNA does not do? I could be wrong, I don't believe I have heard a single complaint about Nash's exposed ass. What is the difference? I don't want to hear about the frequency of the events, either, because McMahon does not induct a new member into the club every week.

Usually they don't do that on TNA though. Rahl

I enjoyed Impact A LOT. I thought it was a great show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The AMW vs. LAX feud is hot!!!!!! It is so good to see intense and entertaining tag team feuds.
The Rhino vs Christian cage match was pay-per-view caliber. The "objects" each wrestler could use was an interesting twist to the match. And the gore through the cage was a neat ending.
The X-division Championship match was good. Nice to see Christopher Daniels win it.
I was glad to see Petey Williams take a stand for America. They really needed to move his character in a different direction.
I really enjoyed the Abyss vs. Angle match. Abyss looked really good against a mat wrestler. You usually only see him go up against "brawler" type guys. He was a little out of his element in a "wrestling" match. But Abyss more than held his own against Angle, so I do not feel that it hurt his match against Sting to have him tap out. In fact, a strong showing against Angle makes Abyss seem like an even bigger threat to Sting, in my opinion.
Of course there were parts of the show that were not as good. The Nash angle was bad. When they showed Nash's backside, my wife commented that it was ashame that TNA had to stoop to that level of humor and I agree. And the VKM stuff is very weak. But overall, last night's Impact was the most enjoyable two hours of wrestling I have seen in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired of McMahon's character. I was tired of it two years ago. I'm tired of it with Heyman in ECW too. The gratuitous man-butt of Summer 2006 actually had me stop watching Raw. If that's McMahon's goal, then I'm at a loss for comment.
