I heard a rumor that Trish Startus will be Roode's new manager. I Don't belive it, but I figured I mention it.

Heh....even if Trish had wanted(which I doubt), I'ms ure she'd have had a no-compete clause. While I'm not sure I like the fact they're borrowing old WCW gimmicks, I'm hoping Roode finally manages to move up in the ranks (Especially since Petey and A-1 look like they're going to be the designated jobbers from now on)

Hopefully Petey's in line for a push...his elimination at the PPV got almost the loudest heat...and his Canadian Destroyer got one of the biggest pops of the night.

I'm still laughing at the fact when they were doing this whole "Bobby Roode is the hottest free agent ever" and the pictures of Joe Torre and Pat Riley flash up on the screen. Yes, fans he's that good.

I like the Money gimmick and Brooks add's to Robert Roode's gimmick overall, I think Petey Williams will be one of the key players again in the X-Division Title Scene!

Bobby Roode's no Randy Savage, but the 20 year statute of limitations is pretty much up, so I guess we were due for a storyline infringement. This is the Randy Savage WWF free agent storyline right down to the final result of him picking an unheralded woman (and even including some of the same players). It worked with Savage and Elizabeth because Randy was the real deal. Booby Roode is not. Give him Randy Savage storylines and Lex Luger robes all you want, he's still just Bobby Roode.

Lame finisher and all. If there was anything original in the push, maybe I'd find it more interesting.

Yeah, I hate that Finisher...Maybe if he makes it look nastier somehow...We'll see I guess...Just a bad pick in my opinion...

He has a great look, finisher is aweful but it could be a freakin powerbomb. Roode isnt that bad. Maybe.

I was very high on Booby roode having seen him getting a chance to work a little bit more in Border City Wrestling. I still think he is improving in the ring but he's promos to me are just so stale. I see him best used as the strong but silent type of a tagteam. He's miles ahead of A-1 though.

I do like his gimmick with Brooks and he could be a solid heel if TNA brings in a second heavyweight title like a TV Title.

I haven't seen, so what is his finisher.
Mark makes a great point, but I think Roode has tons of potential. I liken him to Randy Savage in his ICW days, right before he really hit his stride in the Memphis area.

His new finisher is the The Payoff which is basically where get someone like a reverse ddt/scorpion death drop and then do a spinning neckbreaker. Chris Daniels was the first (I think) to do this move. Test and Reno have also used it among others. Roode's old finisher was the Northern Lariat which was a lariat to the back of the opponent's head/neck. I agree about Roode's mic skills but TNA seems to be commited to helping him out by giving him lots of promo time. Traci will also help to get him over more. I really like Roode though. I think he has a really bright future. Loads of talent and a great look.

Yeah, Daniels started using the move first (on US soil, at least), and still uses it in ROH. He calls it "The Last Rites." I actually think it looks a little better coming from him - he's a little more flexible and can get some more whip on the move.
I like Bobby Roode, and apparently TNA does too with the mega-push they're putting behind him. Lets hope he picks up the ball and runs with it.

I will say i give credit for TNA atleast trying to push some new talent. We will have to wait and see on Roode. I also like that Austin Aries will appear to be getting some more time. Was never a fan of Johnny Devine.
