Okay, I didn't actually watch Impact per se, but it was on while I was doing other things. I plan on watching it during work today, though, and I'll post my thoughts at some point.
Who else watched it? Good, not good?

Like any episode of Impact there were pros and cons. On the plus side: Then final segment was actually an honest to goodness main event. And a none to shabby one at that. No Jackass shenanigans. On the down side: The matches were pretty short, including the nonsensical 5 man loser gets fired thing. The Dudley's just look awful. Would it kill 'em to eat a salad now and then? Though the Joe with the belt stuff was better this week, it's still a poorly conceived plot line. . . I almost said plot THREAD there, but the wound is still too new.  All in all, I give the show 2 and a half out of 5 Books. |

I'd pretty much agree with Book ...
Though I'd add it WAS nice to see Christian nail Jarrett
THREAD was more entertaining than TNA, really.

Yes. That was a highlight. I think Christian will end up largely in a Tweener role by the time TNA stabilizes.

Well he definitely doesn't work as a face, but as a heel, he'd be under Jarrett so maybe tweener is Christian's best hope.

Random TNA iMPACT! thoughts
(Some reprinted with my own permission from the lost pages of THREAD)
* Bentley is about 1500 percent less entertaining without Traci Brooks.
* D-Von looks like he fed a horse five or so bottles of horse steroids and then proceeded to eat the horse.
* LAX is the best thing going in TNA right now. They're good in the ring, Konnan's awesome on the stick in this program, and they've even got the cool entrance. They better not muck them up.
* I like Eric Young, but he gets way too much camera time.
* The Sting promo videos continue to be outstanding. One of the best parts of the show, IMO, but I am a sucker for a good promo video.
* Christian's the best talker in the company, and I was happy to see him get what looks to be the beginnings of a push back up the card and into the spotlight. A Christian-Angle-Joe three-way feud would make my year..
* I really like the way they're booking Joe in this belt angle. The last segment on last night's show I especially liked, because it portrayed Joe as the smartest guy in the ring (kind of like when he calmly walks out of the way of body presses).

The show was good, The main event was a fine match. Lax rule and have to get them belts back soon!! I give it 3 books out of 5 books.
