Rhyno starts with a good promo. He showed an intesity that I've never seen from him. I agree that they have too many people bashing WWE right now though. The old ECW always cracked on WCW and WWE but they did it in more creative ways, maybe they should go that route.
TNA did a nice job with their video spots in hyping the PPV. The segments were concise and set up why said men were in the ring.
James Gang "makes a deal with the devil" and explain why Abyss is on their side. Which means they will get double crossed.
The Paparazzi. This looks like a good team. Devine and Shelley have charisma and could be future champs down the road.
What is it about Norman Smiley that makes me laugh like a loon when he is on screen? His wiggle dance is still funny.
The Main event was good with Team Canada breaking apart. This is fine as I think they aren't bad but should have a more creative gimmick.
Overall not a bad show. Now the real question is will they drop the ball at the PPV???

This show was good and I agree with you on all counts MW. However the question of the PPV still looms..."Will they drop the ball?" I guess I won't know since this will be the first TNA show I don't purchase. Another multiple man competition for the World Title and the World Title is not even being defended at the PPV. Dunno but this show seems weak without the title being defended. That fatal four match should have been resolved on the show BEFORE the PPV. And give us a definite challenger to face for the title at the show. And the enforcer chick with Daniels and Styles is not needed and just a really stupid angle. She gets more air time than guys who should be in front of the audience. And yes the WWE bashing needs to cease, they are not "big" enough to warrant Vinny Mac's wrath or attention. I will be getting GAB this month instead.

Too many promos. Two of the matches were squashes. And it looks like the Nash thing has gone away(?).
For a company that pushes their work-rate, it was very Crash TV. Not what I hope for when it comes to TNA.

I wondered if this Nash thing is done? It seemed to come on strong and now it looks to be flickering out. Talk about continuity issues and continuing storylines. Sheesh!

I agree with Pure Hatred. too many squash matches for a 1 hour program. Overall a boring show.
You know the company is headed downward when their PPV is better off without thee hevayweight champion wrestling on it.
Im an old school ECW fan and theyve seriously been turning me off the last couple weeks. that whole Rhino thing almost completely sealed the deal.

True, the squashes are never a good thing. I felt that the purpose of the show was to hype the PPV and it did that very well. No title defense is a bit hard to take but with this angle of the 4 way they painted themsleves in a corner with it. Shelly mentions "Let's do it for Kevin Nash". But the rumored angle with him appears dead. I also wondered about Nash' health. Didn't he have heart trouble some years back? I won't get the PPV this time either. I'm just waiting.

Yeah he did and didn't make it for Victory Road last year as well I believe and that is when Rhino won two matches in a row to become the Champion, only to lose it back to Jarrett, talk about a momentum killer. Bust his butt in two really good matches wins the title only to be slapped back down to mid card status and the title taken away, another paper champion in the wake of the Jarrett Warmachine.

Technically it was three matches...Monster's Ball, the Gauntlet and then the Jarrett match...Even more momentum than you mentioned...And it all went away...Again, as you mentioned....

Yeah which is weird that Devine is wrestling Shark Boy? Yet clearly a part of the paparazzi crew. Man this booking team needs a slap!

...
Both X-Division guys...neither one heavily involved in an angle at the moment, as Shark Boy is enhancement talent and Devine just came back to TV...and it's just the pre-show. I don't see the issue.
