I agree it was nothing new but I let it slide before since I figured they were just trying to focus themselves and working out the growing pains thus I was tolerable. However that all changed once Slammiversary was over and the Impact shows afterwards were questionable as booking seemed to take a complete turn from bearable to down right "WTF were they thinking?"

In a round about way, it sounds as if Tommy Brownell is calling Canadian Pittbull a hypocrite.
I could be wrong, but that sounds like it is wading in the waters of a personal attack.

I know there have been pay per views where the World Champion didn't put his belt on the line because he was in the Main Event...Look at all the early Survivor Series and the first Royal Rumble...Also there have been others recently where the Champion was in the main event, in a tag team situation to suit a storyline...
But in this case, the World title IS the main storyline, and it IS the focus of the entire show...Oddly it is NOT being defended, and it's holder is being "punished" by being given the night off...It's pretty clear why Pittbull isn't getting the Pay per View...

I see no problem with defending TNA, but to not acknowledge this is lame... a #1 contenders match as a MAIN EVENT... is blindness.

That's like 10000% the point I was trying to make.

And that would be me, stepping back and off camera, safely out of this thread...... If Jurassic Park taught me anything it's "If you don't move, the T-Rex won't see you."

I don't have a problem with anyone here; I like Tommy and don't think he makes the boards dull.

Me neither...Oh wait, there's that B*st*rd Pittbull... I give out complimentary shots to the throat? ( solid right to the neck or throat area,) And they are much more powerful and more effective than the thumb to the throat Umaga dishes out. I am sure I could oblige you in the partaking of a throat shot Splattercat.

But it was better than that unwarranted snipe you took on me in the GWF board...At least you TOLD me you were going to punch me in the neck....

Tonight's show looks like a solid card...and TNA has a tendency to really deliver on their PPVs. I like the product for what it is...which is an alternative pro wres project funded by a wealthy money mark which is _BY NECESSITY FOR IT'S EXISTENCE_ manipulated by an 'in the business' co-Owner/Second Generation Pro Wres Con Man from Memphis....who learned the art of the con well from one of the best in his father.
Lineup For TNA Victory Road PPV 8 PM EST
NUMBER-ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH Sting vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage vs. Scott Steiner
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Champions AJ Styles and The Fallen Angel and The Female Newcomer vs. America’s Most Wanted and Gail Kim
SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH Team 3D vs. The James Gang and "The Monster" Abyss
HAIR VERSUS HAIR MATCH - Raven vs Larry Z
Kevin Nash & Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin & Jay Lethal
“The War Machine” Rhino vs. “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown
The Latin American Exchange vs. The Truth & Sonjay Dutt
The Naturals vs. The Diamonds In The Rough
Senshi will defend his X Division Championship
Pre-Show - The Paparazzi’s Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy
LWPD (first and foremost the primary goal of TNA has always been to allow Jeff Jarrett to make a comfortable living by collecting nice payouts as a talent working at the top of the card...with the payouts conveniently being distributed by the 'true believers' JJ has convinced to fund this money pit operation...it's actually one of the richest traditions in the business but rarely pulled off on this scale...there's no other _REAL_ or logical reason for the company to exist...the 'one day we'll build a balance sheet like WWE' bill of goods pipe dream JJ sold money marks like HealthSouth Corp and Panda to the tune of 8 figures of red ink has always been just a means to the real end...what many fans who complain about Jarrett don't realize is that an alternative approach without him there to stroke belief in the 'impossible dream'...would likelt see a swift closing of shop because the project has never made sense financially...and 'as is' never will)

LWPD, if you're right, and a lot of times you are, you have totally undermined any desire I have to watch TNA. Why spend my time watching a program hoping for the day when it won't be built around a no-talent hack like Jeff Jarrett when that day will never come?

Also, it's not the first time that the champion hasn't defended the belt on a PPV...now, it may be the first time he's not WRESTLED, but they've had shows without defenses before. Agreed, but not having JJ on the PPV in a match at all is stupid. As is Cornette totally disappearing. As are a number of other things. I've been watching TNA for 6-12 months now, and have considered buying a couple of PPVs. There's a lot of guys on the roster that I like.... but this was a HUGE disappointment.
