I think his early TNA work prior to Impact is what made me a fan of Daniels. He had excellent matches, both tag and singles, during his Triple X run.
When I hear people rave over anything going on in TNA now, it makes me wonder if they ever saw the weekly PPVs. Despite the redneck atmosphere, which was actually far better than the wannabe-ECW, super smark crowds in Orlando, the shows actually were better then. I fully believe, in terms of quality, TNA has gone backward.

I agree. The weekly PPVs had some really good stuff. The AJ/Lynn feud, Raven's initial TNA run, the X Diviision was better...plus, they had a normal ring.

I can honestly say I only followed them in recaps online during that. In fact, the week I got my satellite hooked up was the week they ended the weekly PPVs.
But the recap stuff generally sounded GREAT.

As SC said having that 2nd hour can make a huge difference in the quality of the show. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get a second hour again one day. I don't think TNA is going away any time soon.

Of course there is a BIG difference in a one-hour show and a two-hour one. On the other hand, many of the differences have nothing to do with the length of the show. When TNA first started, save for Jarrett and Raven, newer guys were the focus of the show. This is not to say that no older wrestlers ever appeared, but for the most part, it was not parade of WWE and WCW cast-offs that Impact has become. Secondly, the ring and the crowd make a huge difference. Even the on-air, non-wrestling roles of Vince Russo and Erik Watts were far-superior to that of Larry Zbyszko. Time difference or no, the quality of the show has gone down. That should be obvious to all the hardcore TNA fans on here, because quality of wrestling is all the audience claims to care about.

I use to watch the 2 Hour shows and they were better in alot of ways. I think they need to get that second hour and get the ball rolling.

Just to kind of clarify something a little. TNA is actually starting to do some touring. They have done a few on their own as well as doing 9 shows so far with UWF. The crowds have been much bigger than those that you see in the Impact Zone and you don't get quite so many annoying chants and cheering for Abyss or some other heel. I think they are moving in the right direction in this way and doing it slowly which is the way it should be.

Not sure where that second hour is coming from, though. Gonna run aTV show til 1 in the morning in the middle of the week? I doubt that Spike would push UFC up an hour considering Impact is losing half the UFC audience.

Well I think Spike is the problem. I think they are holding TNA back because they are in fear of it failing or they just are not willing to give it more. Also the time slot is hurting them as well.
Dunno I just think that the suits are really holding the show down! On top of TNA management and their booking style.

Well, Networks have never been populated by geniuses....Re: Serenity, and Family Guy...
Of course people have this horrible horrible habit of speaking out about something AFTER it's gone off the air...Picture it, TNA goes off the air and there's a HUGE uproar of people demanding it come back...Like, we're talking more people than ever actually watched it...TNA comes back.......To a 0.8 rating....
it'll happen....
