OK, in other threads the recent signings of Spike, Low Ki, Christy Hemme and have been discussed.
As if these signings weren't enough...according to PWInsider...apparently Buff Bagwell, Lex Luger, and Rick Steiner are all at the TNA tapings and are going to be added to storylines.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!
The one thing I liked about TNA was the ring work, the X-Division guys basically. If they are going to just become WCW v 2.0 I'm giving up on the product.

I thought Lex Luger was in jail. Didn't he cause Miss Elizabeth's death? When is Randy Savage coming to TNA? Hahahaha...
However, adding these named wrestlers is a good idea. TNA should start its own Legends program to get butts in the seats. The recent addition of Christy Hemme is actually a bigger deal for me than Christian. She will draw in fans and wrestlers who want to F her. My a*s is watching because of her.

I am surprised that TNA would be dumb enough to bring these guys in...OK maybe its not that all surprising...but wow.
Now I have to fast forward through more crap to watch AJ, Joe and Team Canada.

It could only be a one shot deal. If they were really going to use them long term wouldn't they have been on Sting's team for the PPV instead of appearing on free tv.

Actually it makes complete sense considering people tend to make their first appearances on the PPV and if they're going to use more mainstream names then Luger or Steiner would've been on Sting's team at the PPV. Why would they give away someone's first appearance for free?

Most likely to get them to buy the next PPV. Sometimes mystery works, but more often it's better to build up to them.

Because they're TNA. They just had a monhs long feud pay off in an Arm wrestling match in a cage. What do you want from them? And I don't care if it IS a one-shot deal. they have a one hour time slot....so basically 45 minutes of TV a week...their best wrestlers don't get consistent air time...WHY ARE YOU WASTING TIME WITH RICK STEINER, BUFF BAGWELL, AND LEX LUGER!!!!!

TNA knows what's up...I know it's hard to give credit to a company running around in a 6 sided ring, but they must have some kind of clue... and right now they are scrambling for anything to hang onto...even if it is a group of guys 10 years past their primes...

Please, stop saying the word signed. It hasn't said a word about them being offered contracts. It says that they're there and are going to be involved in the storylines somehow.

MadDog, you're missing the general point. TNA is spending more time on washed up has beens in the last few months. Even if its a one-shot, its a bad idea. horrible, actually. TNA was at its worst when it was focusing the main event on guys like Nash, DDP, and Savage. Especially since the numbers at the time showed that they did nothing to bring in viewers. No matter who they dredge up, TNA can't hope to compete as a company going 'name' for 'name' with the WWE. They need to be the 'alternative' not 'the poor man's version of.'

Now that they signed Luger I know TNA is dead. The simple truth is that Vincent could snap his fingers and TNA would rollover dead, but it's much more fun watching them destroy themselves. I tried to give this fed a chance after I heard about them but I've had s**t's that lasted longer than that.

I don't really care about Luger and Bagwell. But I do have to admit that as a Steiner Brothers fan, I would like to see the brothers reunite for one final run as a tag team. Just pure nostalgia, but they were one of my favorite teams and to see them back together one last time would make me happy !!!!

I dunno if the Steiners could even come close to reclaiming the magic. They're both broken down and Scott isn't a 1/5 of the wrestler he was before roids and injuries destroyed his body.

Troy is right. It could be sad. I think it might tarnish the great memories we have of them in their heyday.

They have wrestled a few indy shows together not too long before Scott went to TNA and apparently they could still put on a great show. Not the same as their hayday but still pulled off a great match.
