I wouldn't knock the NWA World title. Jarrett was still defending it against non-TNA wrestlers across the world, and even in other, NWA affiliated promotions outside of TNA.
If that's not carrying on the grand tradition, I don't know what is.

I actually enjoyed several of the other matches much more than I did Christian vs. Jarrett. It was a good match, but didn't hold my attention as much as Samoa Joe vs. A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels or Petey Williams vs. Matt Bentley vs. Alex Shelley vs. Jay Lethal (I guess I'm a sucker for the X Division )or The LAX vs. the James Gang matches (although the end of LAX vs. James Gang was kind of a let down with Bob Armstrong coming out and Konnan backing down. It probably played into some part of the storyline that I'm not aware of, which is entirely my fault). Christian vs. Jarrett was a solid match, and was much more enjoyable than Rhino vs. Abyss (which I wanted to enjoy, but couldn't get into), or AMW vs. Sabin/Dutt (which I really wanted to enjoy because I do like AMW). It was a solid PPV, and worth the money I spent for it, although I wish I would've recorded the darn thing for some replay value. Ah well. ;D Peace. ~Trav

I really hope that they will keep the NWA title on Christian for awhile! I am so sick of JJ, and don't want him as champ anytime soon. From the PPV JJ promised Monty the next shot at the NWA title so I hope they through in a storyline with Larry screwing JJ out of his rematch since he promised the next shot would go to Monty. Then they can clear up the Jackie storyline while some other wrestlers get shots at CC.
Keep the Faith

Sounds good to me. There is no reason that Jarrett can't have a feud not centered around the title.

When Goldberg and Y2J finally come to the TNA it will become something worthy to challenge the WWE. Also, they need to have a big PPV once a year that stands apart from the others....like Wrestlemania in the WWE.

Jericho, I don't know. Do I wish? Oh yeah, of course.
Now Goldberg I can see. Only work a few times a month, concentrate on his "acting" and milk out the company for a few big pay days

Also, they need to have a big PPV once a year that stands apart from the others....like Wrestlemania in the WWE. Bound For Glory was supposed to be their "WM" but they killed the mystique of it when Rhyno won the belt from Jarrett, only to lose it back to him less than a weel later. Nice going you idiots.

To me, it was worse putting Rhino over as World champ than it was taking the belt away from him a week later...=P

No, what really sucked was "Let's have a 5-minute Royal Rumble to decide who's going to face Jarrett, then have a 5-minute title match, then have someone get tossed in a coffin to end what's supposed to be a PPV to put us on the map once and for all." I'm a Rhino fan, but this booking scenario was absolute crap.
What they should've done was culminate the Zbyszko-Raven angle by having Raven somehow use a loophole to get the title shot, then beat Jarrett for the title. THAT would've worked, but instead we were treated to the crap booking listed above.
I really want TNA to succeed, but boy do they have a long way to go (Christian as champ IS a step in the right direction though).
