Yes, it was shocking that Sting announced his retirement last night on Impact after one tag match, but is it for real or is it a work? I used to be able to tell the difference between a work and a shoot, but I really don't know. Maybe Sting injured himself during the match and he now wants to quit. Maybe this was a set up the whole time. Once again, I don't know and I hope someone has inside information.

Maybe he broke his hip. Man, I wish that would happen to The Undertaker.

He can't work the upcoming PPV so this is to write him off of that show.

What exactly did Sting bring to TNA then? Geez. I think he's not done yet..you saw Christian's reaction....maybe Sting vs. Christian and the Captain turns heel.

The whole bit is supposedly that he came back to say goodbye...and is off for the next couple of PPVs...but SOMETHING brings him back for his retirement run.
As for what he brought...how about their highest TV rating and biggest buyrate since opening the company?

I'd rather watch midgets.

I would hardly call Sting a has been. Savage & Nash yes, Sting no. The difference is Sting can still perform in the ring. He looked very good at the PPV.
Just my opinion....

Except he is going to wrestle again...he had a conference call before the PPV where he explained how passionate he is about building TNA up...
This whole thing, the one match and then retirement, was the plan when he came in. He's basically already said he wants to go out feuding with Abyss, and they have a built in worked-shoot money angle with Samoa Joe that could put him on the map as a true star if they play it right. Not saying they will, but the possibility is there.
