Looks like another good show on tap for Saturday. I watched bits of RAW last night, and thought it was alright...but it didn't hold my interest like impact did. How long did Angle have Shelton in that Ankle Lock anyway?!? That said, I got to choose when I sat down to watch TNA as I taped it, so maybe that was part of me enjoying it more. Anyway...here is what's on tap for Saturday.
Jeff Jarrett v. Kip James: Normally, I would make fun of a match like this...but given the context, and the fact that the 3-Live Crew stuff is still 'developing' and JJ has about 5 guys who want him dead makes this at least somewhat watchable. Still...I don't like either of these guys, so the match better have some 'extras' (AMW/Team 3-D)
AJ Styles v. Chris Sabin: This should be a very good match. I'm sure we'll see Samoa Joe at some point, probably after the match...but I expect another good X-Division match between these two.
Jeff Hardy v. Abyss: Good match...I like what they've done with Hardy in TNA. Could Abyss lose two in a row after being very dominant for weeks? Is Sabu really getting to him? Where does Hardy fit in? He seems in limbo right now...
Monty Brown in action: Nice! Christian Cage will have something to say about Monty: Nice! Larry Zbyszko will meet with Raven: Nice! BG James reveals his 'plan' for 3LC: Nice!
Looks like a 'jam packed' hour of wrestling...I guess I can start programing my VCR for 'weekly' instead of 'one time'.

It does sound like a good show. None of the matches really appeal to me, but given the quality of most TNA matches I am looking forward to them anyway. The sports entertainment stuff is what I'm really interested in... TNA seems to be improving that portion of their shows, and that's what's going to make them a competitor.

It sounds alright...but I could handle going a year without seeing Hardy-Abyss again.

As a newer fan, I've only seen Hardy/Abyss once...but I can relate.
The card is nothing special, but like tafkaga said, TNA is starting to show signs that its willing to 'try' to play the sports entertainment game and unlike WWE, where we have a feeling where things are headed, I have no idea what TNA has in store for the next few weeks/months...and I like that. Plus, I thought TNA crammed a lot of 'show' into one hour last week, and this Saturday looks no different.

I agree Floyd... last week's show really FELT like a 2 hour show to me... and not in a bad way. There was just so much going on. This showed me that if they trim the fat they can still put on a good sports entertainment show in an hour, something that I had my doubts of before.

It sounds alright...but I could handle going a year without seeing Hardy-Abyss again. This is an interesting point that you make because it reminds of when WCW was on top and WWE was horrible. This goes back to when I was open to watching both companies. I would watch WCW for the whole time except when Austin was on and WWE was always the same thing. Austin versus Foley, then Foley versus the Undertaker then Undertaker versus Austin then Austin versus Foley again followed by a three way with Austin, Undertaker and Foley. I kind of liked it because those were some great matches with some of my favorites, but it did get stale quick. Anyway, with Christian Cage, Samoa Joe and many others now arriving, I do not expect it to remain the same. Except I think Hardy has it in his contract that he will not be an X Division wrestler. What do you guys think?

I've been waiting for today, tonight we get another solid TNA show. iMPACT prior and after Genesis have been real good, and knowing the ratings dipped again... TNA needs to stick to their guns and produce top notch shows like they continue to do. Spike TV in the last two days have promoted iMPACT really well during the Bondathon, and thats a good thing. TNA needs more positive comments then they need negative ones, and I'm not the only one that agrees with that. I've been a heavy poster at TNAWrestling.com and the support there is solid as it is here at times. But like I said, everyone's opinions count good or bad and thats cool with me. Tonight will ROCK!

I saw the show this morning. I tape them so I can sleep at night.
Monty Brown in a squash match ... I thought squashes were to show the fans the push in a good light. It failed badly. The other couldn't sell a basic move much less the "finisher".
4 Live crew: 4 fingers in the air smacks of the horsemen and thats wrong. They will never be another horsemen. still the canadians out number them so what gives. I really thought Konnan was going to turn heel and that would be a good thing.
For all the rap on Jarrett he is still a veteran of the ring and it shows trying to sell the mismatch with Kip James.
Maybe they will build a womens division with some good matches ( unlike WWE). Can't beat a good catfight to bring up the ratings.
I would like to see Paul Heyman in the fed... Maybe he'll bring in the ECW style. It could fit well with the X division.
Lastly they need to get the show out of the iMPACT Zone. It is a good beginning but they need to get different types of fans. You can only do that by going on the road with the show.
I admit when I go to a show I don't always get into IT. I like to watch the moves and acting like a "fan" make me miss some of the action. Still I do get in to IT when the time is right. Thats the fun of being ringside.
These fans don't look like they understand what a fan is to do.
I remember old TV shows where little old ladies would bad mouth the heels, shake their umbellas at them that was funny. Now the fans hold up chairs for the wrestles to bash themselves with.
enough of my rantings ... Keep 'em rollin'

Maybe the fans, who are getting in free, are going because its free and then not being terribly entertained when they get there?
Besides, TNA tapes - what - three weeks in one day? That could get tiring.
