TNA Impact 10/12

I just got done watching Impact. This was in my opinion the weakest Impact so far. This was the first week I can remember watching it that none of the matches really impressed me. Of all of them I probably enjoyed Samoa Joe and Austin Aries the most.

One thing I did like is that they seemed to be trying more sports entertainment segments rather than just throwing matches at us. I liked seeing the show open up with a Monty Brown promo. It wasn't the best promo in the world, but neither was it the worst. I was just glad to see them doing more things in this direction.

TNA really needs to work on developing these wrestlers as characters and working on some more in depth storylines other than "me no like you, let's fight". Especially with Christian (most likely) coming aboard, it's probable that more people are going to be checking it out now... I'm hoping that the coming month will be a strong one for TNA and that they'll continue to improve.

Tafkaga, I disagree about this being a weak show... They tied up all or most of the storylines leading into tonights GENESIS, and the matches had me glued to my seat if you will. The only match I thoughts was weak, but continued the storyline was the Kip James match. The James Mitchell speach was great, he is one of the best mic-men in TNA. It will be Hockey Night in Orlando tonight, I love that angle with Team Canada. I give this One Hour of iMPACT a A+, and tonights pay-per-view will be AWESOME........ PERIOD!

I forgot about the James Mitchell part... you're right I thought that was good. They should give James more time with the mic.

OK, here is a Big Time rundown on my thoughts from the show.

Monty Brown...still can't get myself to like him! My wife thinks he's funny (especially the "POOOOOOOUNCE-Ah" part), I just can't get behind him, and am going to stop trying.
ABYSS is one of my favorite wrestler in TNA right now, and James Mitchell is a great mic man.
Jeff Hardy....weird.
Finally seeing Samoa Joe in a match (I missed him on the two hour thing) and seeing the Muscle Buster...WOW! Anime in real life, I never thought that move was possible. Aries was a little small to take it, but maybe that's why a big guy like Joe is an X Devision star.
I'm Kip James B*TCH! Now that is funny. Noticed he went for the "Rocker Droper" (read Fame-ass-er) and didn't hit it, maybe to show he has a new finisher? Ah well, I like 3LK, and Team Canada, so either way here I win.
The Canadian Destroyer is LIGHTYEARS beyond the Styles Clash. Best Finisher EVER!
Another damn cheap win by Jarrett, and this time over a team with my man Hoyt. Darn it. Ah well, it's only a matter of time before Hoyt is champ, and trust me, this guy can carry the ball! I have no shadow of a doubt. GO GET 'EM LANCE!
All in all, not the best show but not a bad one. I'll still be tuning in next week.

Oh, and I love how Raven cuts promos that send your average wrestling fan running to their dictionaries! They don't hate him becasue he's a bad guy, they hate him becasue he's smart! Man how I love Raven!
