I'm very pleased with the 2 hours of iMPACT, the 6-man X-D Match was the highlight of the show, and yes Jarrett winning is cool... now we will see either Brown or Hardy go for the belt. I know several will not like the end results of the show from top to bottom, but this TNA Fan is very pleased.

I agree with you Dennis. I was very impressed with the show. Best Impact on Spike yet. Although I was rooting for Rhino, the Jarrett victory was really not all that bad. I have to say that EVERY match (other than the Monty Brown squash which I nearly forgot about) was 4 star calibur, including Rhino/Jarrett which really surprised me. I think that this was Jarrett's best performance in a long time... that's why I didn't mind seeing him take the strap too much.
The first match was good except for Sonjay Dutt, who did his usual dancing around like a retarded monkey routine and then the pathetic old school top rope balancing move. After that it just kept getting better and better. I wasn't even bothered by the Canadian Destroyer tonight due to the overall quality of the Ultimate X match. But it's hard to figure out what was the best match of the night... Ultimate X, the 2nd 6-man tag match, Team 3D vs. Team Canada, or the main event. It was all superb.
The production of the show also seemed a little more polished this time, although that probably has a lot to do with it being 2 hours. The commentators were a little easier to hear and the crowd wasn't as annoyingly loud. I hope it does well in the ratings so that maybe Spike will consider giving TNA a weekly 2 hour prime time slot.
A+

Personally, I thought the Brown squash was the best part.
The X Division 6 man lost points on the STUPID triple submission. I hate all non-Canadian Destroyer super contrived spots.
Jarrett...*ugh* I don't even like Rhino and I was pulling for him.
So...was Sabu injured and he toughed it out, or did he just forget he was selling when Abyss came in?
I liked Team 3D vs Roode/Young, one of my favorite tandems.
Petey is a Gawd, and the only one who should be X Division champion right now...and he should wrestle Jerelle Clark once a month, because Clark sells the Destroyer better than anyone ever.
TNA REALLY needs to let Raven do SOMETHING.
TNA really needs to at least establish reasonable face-heel lines for the X Division doods.
I used to think Trinity was hard to look at. Gail Kim makes me LONG for Trinity.
What's the point in giving Abyss a mouthpiece if you never let the mouthpiece speak?
Don West's "normal" voice sounds WEIRD during a match.
Seriously...Jarrett is smothering TNA.
I want to start a fed so I can put myself over bunches.
I did like the job they did on hyping Jarrett-Rhino through the show...short of Michael Buffer, it was great.
The only reason I sound so negative is because I was playing CotG during it, and CotG turned out to be WAY more interesting to me.

the special was the best two hours of American Wrestling TV in ATLEAST four years, if not significantly longer.
First up, Monty's squash of that jobber was one of the most glorious things I've ever seen. First Pounce? Awesome...Second one? Not so much. Third? Dude looked like he HEADDROVE into the mat. Thats what I love about TNA, WWE would NEVER do anything like that. Everything has to be on a schedule.
Team 3D v.s. Team Canada didn't overly hold my interest, until I saw all the old skool cheating Team Canada was doing. THATS good tag team work, as they clearly defined themselves as bad guys, as they used every trick they knew to keep D-Von in trouble. Almost never see that stuff anymore either.
The six man match was balls out awesome. As my friend put it, "...I feel like we should have paid for that match...". The more contrived spots didn't work well, but when they weren't trying to do that (Which they should just STOP doing...), the match was great. The X Division could go in fifty different directions right now, as they seem to be slowbuilding a Shelly/AJ rivalry.
The Ultimate X Division match...eh. I like the concept, but it should be retired for awhile until they can find a way to keep that damned X up there. The fans chanting "PLEASE DON'T FALL!" is not a good thing. Besides that, the highlight was Sabin's Full-Rotation German Suplex FROM THE TOP ROPE onto Petey Williams. Oh, and Williams is probably the best "little guy" in North America right now. The man doesn't have off nights.
The main event, I knew who was winning before the match came...but Gail Kim nearly topping out of her top never can be bad, and they logically showed why Team 3D didn't save Rhino, and they kept him strong. A Death Sentance to the floor through a table = You die. You die Haaaard.
Just a great show, nothing I can find to complain about. Easily smokes anything WWE's done on TV in a long freaking time, I know that much.

I didn't mind the show. Hardy looked good, as did A.J. and Daniels. It still needs room for improvement. I don't necessarily mind Jarrett having the strap, but they did the exact same thing last time Jarrett regained the title against Raven. It's too repetative. They also showed Raven interupting Rhino's promo while still champ, hinting at a possible fued. What are they fighting over? Who looked better losing the strap to Jarrett with the help of AMW?

I'm serious about TNA, I've been watching each airing both of all iMPACT's and BFG more then once. I've done that very little with the WWE when I was watching it several years ago. I know TNA still has a long way from being what the WWE has become, but TNA is young (3+ years) and continue to grow. This show was very solid from top to bottom, and now at Genesis we will see the Elimination X Match, which was just announced on TNA's website.

I'm the same way Dennis. I fast-forwarded through Raws and Nitros for so long. Now there's a show that I tape every week and I've actually watched some of them twice. Yeah they have a long way to go, but I'm enjoying the ride.

I was only able to watch the second hour of the show. My wife watches CSI on Thursday nights. I did flip over to TNA on commercials during the first hour and was able to catch Monty Brown's "Alpha Ex-lax" comment, which was funny and kind of disturbing at the same time! My thoughts on the second hour-The Ultimate X match was a interesting concept but seemed to be missing something. I guess I expected more action on the cables. I thought the Jarret/Rhino match was very good. I do not like either guy, but they put on a good match. I know a lot of people do not like Jarrett as champion, but I kind of see him like Ric Flair was in the NWA. Most people hated Flair back then and paid to see the "good guys" try to beat him. They have the same kind of thing going with Jarrett. The fans will want to see their favorites go after Jarrett because they hate him so much. It may work in the short run. In the long run, TNA needs to decide which wrestler they want their organization to be identified with and put the belt on that guy. I hope that Monty Brown is the guy. Anyone who can come up with "Alpha Ex-lax" deserves a push !

I didn't watch it until this morning when I taped both TNA and Smackdown, for 4 hours of wrasslin' .... My comments on the show Very good... Brown got better then the last time he was on, but one 1 contender ? I seen the ultimate X went they put the belt up there... Now that was awesome ... This was cool but the drama with the belt adds so much more.... Did anyone see Petey hurt mimself on the Canadian Destroyer ... His landing was off just a bit and when the other guys shoulder hit his knee he almost lost it. The Jarrett/Rhino match was better then I thought, but Why can't someone else have the belt for more than a week? Come on TNA ... Show some backbone! Well anyway I was able to do my feds PPV in the 4 hours...Now to the WWE for more on my mind.! Keep 'em rollin'

I know a lot of people do not like Jarrett as champion, but I kind of see him like Ric Flair was in the NWA. Good point. I'm sure that when Flair reigned for all of those years that there were fans who were upset about that too. But I think the real issue is that there's no clear face wrestler to put the belt on. If they had Sting or Benoit or someone like that, they might be a little braver about giving them a title reign because they already have huge fan bases. But the best face candidate they have to wear it at this point is Monty Brown which might be risky. I'd love to see Brown or Raven get a long title reign, but I think I can see why TNA keeps it on Jarrett.

The reason they keep the belt on Jarrett is summed up in one sentence: He's the co-owner of the company.
There is evidence beyond evidence that Jarrett cannot and will never draw. The first time the crowd chanted "boring" at his promos, he should have been jobbed out so fast his head spun.
Styles could be the World champion, but I'd bet half the reason he stays in the X Division is because he knows he can shine there, without Jarrett making him look like a chump.
Hell, turn Raven heel and make HIM the evil heel champ...he's a better worker than Jarrett and 85 million times better on the mic than anyone in TNA anyway.

Well TNA didn't seem to find a new audience from their special. They'll have to figure a new tactic to attract new viewers.

They could create new characters and work on fresh storylines...
....OR...they could hire more ex-WWE/Fers and job them out to Jarrett!
