Spike gives TNA its first prime time special
by Dave Meltzer
Dave@wrestlingobserver.com
Due to Spike TV preempting Impact on 11/5 for the live Ultimate Fighter special, the show had been moved to Thursday, 11/3 several weeks back. At first it was scheduled as a regular episode of Impact.
However, with ratings well above projections on Saturday nights, Spike has given TNA its first prime time special, a two-hour taped show from 9-11 p.m. on 11/3. No details are available but it will be more like a Clash of Champions special than a regular episode of Impact. The show will be taped on either 10/25 or 10/26, more likely the latter.
There are people on this board who will think I'm lying, but I do hope this show does well. Hopefully they get thier act together in time.

See, I have a good deal of confidence in this and here's why: TNA's weekly program tends to top out at "okay" or "not bad"...their PPVs on the other hand, tend to be pretty great. So if everyone, writers, wrestlers, commentators, approach this as "Let's go put on a PPV", they should do great.

TNA! TNA! TNA! I'am excited for this 2 hour primetime show, they will rise above and give a solid show. I think we need to support this event, I've seen all three iMPACTS and will be buying BFG and will be watching for a long time.

Hopefully this will be a good show. I haven't been overly impressed with Impact as of yet, and I haven't seen a TNA PPV (although I hear they have been good lately), so I hope they put on something PPV quality to get me more into the product.
