Is it just me or is this guy a mini-Rock impersonator? I admit I've only seen him once. Also compare his face to Vince Russo's...they look alike. Could he be...Vince Russo's younger Samoan brother impersonating the Rock?

Well, I would agree with you, except that in the entire time I've been watching TNA, they haven't let Siaki TOUCH a mic...so he has no character to speak of...=)
That said, I do seem to recall that his post Flying Elvises gimmick was very Rockish.

I heard an interview with him where he states that he has had a really hard time getting away from people chanting Rocky sucks at him because of how alike he does look. He talked about the different hair styles he has tried and the different ring attires. Personally I love Siaki. He is a very solid wrestler that could be a pretty big star if he had the personality and a push. I really don't know how much personality he has since as Tommy said TNA wont let him on the mic. He put on a good show against Abyss last week.

I knew this was coming. Siaki has been one of my favourites for some time now as I would get all the ppv's back when they first started out. The Flying Elvis gimmick was lame but when he finally broke that I think this guy can do great things. People just need to relax and hold their urges to start jumping on the Rock wannabe band wagon.
Brock Lesnar was getting "Big Poppa Pump wannabe" chants when he had longer hair than that crue cut and had a little goatee going on in his late OVW and WWE dark match shows.

I'm not at all anti-Siaki... I was just curious if TNA was TRYING to create another Rock. Of course jobbing him to Abyss on the 2nd Spike Impact would sort of dismiss that notion. =) I'm not going to bash him, but his clothes, sunglasses, haircut, the way he stands on the 2nd turnbuckle and wobbles his head... it's all very Rock-ish. =)

When they used to let him talk, he always began with "Sonny Siaki does..." and "Sonny Siaki says..." It was funny as hell to hear him say his name 50 times in a two-minute promo. It was evident that he was imitating the Rock. Whether he was told to, I don't know.
