I thought the second iMPACT was solid, the six man tag team match kicked things off. Kip James sitting up on the entrance ramp and then helping B.G.James, I can see a NAO reunion after all there problems in the past. The Monster Abyss, this guy is something else... James Mitchell, I've always liked this guy as a manager. The 3 man X Division match was cool, I loved when Petey Williams and Chris Sabin hit ringside. The Main Event was pretty good, Team 3D getting bloodied and a new Alliance with Jarrett, AMW and Gail Kim has taken controll of TNA. I'm wondering what they have plan for Raven, he will get his revenge in my opinion after BFG. Overall the show was better then Smackdown, so I give it rating of 6 out 10 this week.

I agree with Mike, things will improve... TNA needs to present the roster first and build up the teams that will make a iMPACT in TNA for the months and years to come.

and not only did I watch it, I tried to play a GWF card while watching it...the ultimate litmus test...
and to be honest, I thought it was horrible...
the six man was a spot-fest, and all three guys looked so small...
and what kind of angle is the heel going through 3 buddies of the face while chasing the title?
Abyss vs. Saki was bad, and the announcers are were worse...
the tag team match was slow, and the ending with JJ and Nash coming out (again) was disappointing...and what kind of super-group involves Gail Kim? adding to that, the "THEY'RE TAKING OVER!!" angle is stale...
the show came off as 2nd rate, and bush-league.
But I watched it with my friends tonite. Probably won't watch it again next week.
I don't think this show was anywhere even close to being as good as Smackdown this week...and that's not good.
just my opinion.

I have a list of next weeks action on iMPACT... (Spoilers) Main Event: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels in an "Ironman Challenge" against three opponents of AJ Styles' choosing. I have a feeling that Daniels will win this match, but it will be cool to see. Sabu vs. "The Man Beast" Rhino. I was never a fan of either guy, but I'm excited about this Monsters Ball match and this is another prelude to it. "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown in action, who will he squash on this night? Matt Bentley w/ Traci vs. David Young. Matt Bentley, who is this guy and Traci is pretty hot. More matches announced for "Bound For Glory". Plus, appearances by NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, America's Most Wanted, Gail Kim, NWA World Tag Team Champions The Naturals, Abyss, Jeff Hardy and many more of your favorite TNA stars! I love TNA, this has been two solid saturday's of wrestling and I'm looking to watch BFG.

Nah, Smackdown was better than Impact and Raw this week.
Smackdown, Impact, Raw in that order.
The six man was a joke that wasn't funny, complete with the Angle That Won't Die (Kip and B.G. James)...since I started training as a wrestler, I have grown to despise contrived triple threat spots, so that match lost a lot in my eyes. I likes me a good Abyss squash, so that was great...Tito Ortiz = Fast Forward. If I wanted to see MMA fighters, I would watch MMA. Finally, the main event was a good set-up for a PPV tag match, but a PERFECT example of what's wrong with TNA: We're supposed to care about Gail Kim entirely because she was once in WWE. I never even watched WWE while she wrestled for them...if Tenay hadn't said "It's Gail Kim!" I woulda been "Who's the ugly Asian chick?!?!"

I thought that the show was very good, better than the debut show on Spike. I know nothing about TNA except for watching it the last two weeks, and all I can say is that the in-ring action has been more exciting and enjoyable to watch than most of what I have seen on Raw since Wrestlemania. I think that they are doing a good job of introducing their roster and building feuds without guys yakking on the mic for 20 minutes. Unless it is one of the great promo guys in the business (The Rock, Ric Flair) I would rather watch the action in the ring than hear a guy drone on and on on the mic. If they keep it up, I will be a regular watcher.

It is called Total Non stop Action not Non stop Talk.... There was some good action. The X division was good setting up the PPV. Did you see the t-shirt on Bubba Ray ... "trademark this" ... anytime you give it to VKM is OK with me. Yes Jarrett is a jerk, No Nash is not the answer.... It has to be someone fresh and soon or they will lose a big chance to score over WWE.

Tito is there to capitalize on the popularity of UFC right now and they both happen to be on Spike. I love the Team 3D's shirts. Nash won't last long. Jarrett will keep the title at the ppv but hopefully not a whole ton longer. Abyss needs a much bigger push. He is a monster for crying out loud. Siaki also needs a better push. It is too bad that Ekmo Fatu left for AJPW because they were a pretty good tag team. I can't wait til TNA gets a bigger time slot.

I seen Smackdown this week and it was garbage. I wish I would have got to see Impact though. I wanted to see A.M.W. vs 3-D and any Abyss squash is fun.

Was there a bad connection between your cable box and your TV? I didn't see the show, but I've seen Gail Kim on TV. She's one of the things that's right with TNA because she: 1) IS HOT, and 2) can actually wrestle.

After watching iMPACT again for the second time, it was really a solid show. I'm going to watch it again later on tonight, I'm not even going to turn RAW on... The WWE will not be watched for some time in my house, I'm done with the same old same old story. In my view TNA now has my viewership, and I'll live with the up's and down's that TNA will have than the up's and down's WWE have any day.

See, she ISN'T hot, and there's no women's division in TNA, so the "wrestling" part doesn't matter.
I stand by what I said...she is a perfect example of what's wrong with TNA: They brought in a WWE bit player and acted like she was a huge deal entirely because she was a WWE bit player.

Tommy... hate to break it to you, but have you ever heard the old "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" proverb? Well, there are many many people who think Gail Kim is hot. I'm one of them. It's called an opinion, so let's not waste keystrokes arguing over whether Gail Kim is hot or not. Someone in this world probably thinks Rosie O'Donnel is hot...and to him or her it's absolutely true.
I thought TNA was better this week than week 1. I still have a few gripes about the sound. The announcers suck, but even so I'd rather that they be turned up some or that the crowd be turned down so that I can actually hear them. Either that or just turn them off. I also find it very annoying that the show's bumper music plays even through the interviews.
Another complaint that I have about TNA is the fact that the matches just seem to be fast and furious spotfests. What's wrong with slowing the match down, using some ring psychology, and putting over some drama or a storyline in matches? Pro wrestling is supposed to be a sport/soap opera. Granted, WWE goes a little far and gets a tad bit stupid...but TNA needs a storyline or something to get me hooked. Trotting former WWE wrestlers down to the ring to brawl and starting a "we're taking over" angle just doesn't cut it.
This is where I agree with you Tommy... they bring in WWE guys and flaunt them just like WCW used to. It's like they're trying to say that they're a legit competitor in the wrestling business because they have acquired "superstars" made in WWE. The Dudleys are fun to watch...and I'll watch Gail Kim any day... but I could certainly do without Nash, Konnan, BG James, and Billy Gunn.
Overall I think the show improved a little, although as I sit here I can't hardly remember anything about it... so that tells you how much of an "Impact" it had on me.

MY VIEW on TNA... Everyone has their own opinion on TNA, and thats whats great about having this board. I've talked with several of my friends here in my neck of the woods and some are happy to stay with the WWE and some are like me who are looking for a new promotion to watch... TNA for one is not polished like the WWE, but thats good. These guys are far from the years logged by the WWE, but after the last few months two TNA shows have been fun to watch while I have not seen one thing that draws me to RAW or SD every week... Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Raven, B.G.James and Kip James maybe all former wrestlers of other promotions, but these are guys who I like and look to watch... The new blood, and there's a good roster full of them in TNA that are giving their all. A.J.Styles, Chris Daniels, Alex Shelley, Matt Bentley and the list goes on are great for a new promotion on the rise... Yes, the problems with TNA are clear, but I love the way this promotion is headed and it's a freshness I've been waiting for... I know TNA needs to move out of the iMPACT ZONE in florida and travel to other states being in smaller venues would be good, so other fans can catch live TNA action... I could continue on, but my final thoughts are this... TNA has something for me and that is a new wrestling promotion that has me excited to watch it's shows on a weekly basis, the end results is no WWE on my TV screen.

Tafkaga - All I did was voice my opinion on Gail Kim...someone else crried it on from there. I don't think she's attractive, period. But then, I don't think Trinity is, and I think Traci's pretty much only good from the neck down for that matter, so I'm woefully underimpressed with TNA's "knockouts".
The main thing I wanted to comment on was your bit about trotting out former WWE stars and doing a "We're taking over!" angle...well, with the people who are actually "taking over", Gail Kim's the only "WWE star"...the other three are guys who've been with TNA pretty much from the onset, oddly being challenged by former WWE stars...for whatever reason. And here's where I completely agree with you: Nash and Jarrett have a history, both in TNA and WCW, so as far as that part of their feud goes, I'm fine with it.
AMW vs Team 3D? There's no logical reason! Each team wants to be recognized as the best...what about The Naturals? You know...THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. I know Team 3D can't care about AMW "taking over", they just showed up five minutes ago. So yeah, the writers need to get off this "lets throw crap at the wall and see what sticks...and if anyone gets annoyed, we'll give AJ Styles 15 minutes so they don't complain".
I'm sure part of the problem is that they don't yet know how to convey everything they need to in a one hour show...which is really tragic, since Impact's a year old already.
