You could call them the WWE World Tag Team Titles and The WWE World Heavyweight titles. For them to be WCW there has to exist a legitimet WCW federation. That did not exist in the realm of Vince Mcmahon because he bought it out and did nothing with it. Ruined it and tossed it away like a piece of used toilet paper.

So unless he is going to recognize those titles and then also recognize WCW (which he won't other than the company he bought out and destroyed.) they are pretty much WWE titles in WCW clothing. I just don't understand acknowledging the belts but not the company. It comes off odd to me.

I am only talking about the titles held at the time of the WCW invasion. I don't recognize any current titles as having anything to do with WCW other than the fact that they may have the same name or the same look.

See I myself would like to say yes they were but technically the WCW Invasion angle was handled all wrong and there was a great potential for some amazing story lines and crossovers but alas WWE once again blew it.

Just cannot count the titles as official after Vinny Mac bought WCW. They became more of a mockery that the real deal, lost their notoriety if you will.

Same title belt, different title lineage.

Actually, its a different belt as well. Batista's has a WWE logo and is made by Joe Marshall. The old WCW one was made by somebody else and had no logo at all.

Ah, I hadn't seen a real close shot of the new belt...so its actually a modified design then?
