Not sure if this is a spoiler, because it's all over every site including TNA's official site, but something interesting happened in Canada yesterday:
Jeff Jarrett wins TNA championship in Canada with the help of America's Most Wanted. This validates his claim that when TNA debuts on Spike, he would be champion.
Surprise, surprise!! Who saw that coming?!

Yeah, I read that this morning also. Just in time for the debut.
You know, Jarrett had a decent future back in the 90s, but he never evolved his style at all. Plus, he already had a bland personality.
Just when you think TNA may get exciting, people are going to turn in and see this guy holding the title thinking, "This is the guy who was nothing more than a mid-card loser in the WWF..."
Shame, just a shame...Just when you get excited about TNA..

Wait...with the help of America's Most Wanted?!?!
UGH...the best tag team in wrestling, and they go from being Dustin Rhodes' lapdogs to Jeff Jarrett's?

The minute I read this topic I knew what it was already going to be. I just can never get into any fed with Jeff Jarrett as the champ and he dominates so much of the airtime. As much as people complain about HHH he's 20 times better than Jarrett. Jarrett doesn't even make he cheer against him, he's so lame i just change the channel rather than watch him. Shocking when he became WCW champion is when i officially stopped watching it.

If Jarrett wants a belt so badly, they should just give him the X-division belt to shut him up. I'd much rather see Chris Daniels as the NWA Champ than Jeff Jerk-it.

If he's going to win the title back this fast why did they have him lose it in the first place? Nothing has really changed at all. Raven should have had a lengthy run as champ, only to be upset by Daniels or a "new" top guy in the end. That would've helped put TNA on the map.

I must agree, Jarrett and HHH are two individuals who need to take backseats for quite sometime. They are soo overexposed that it lessened the product. I was really digging Raven as champion. And felt it was about damn time and then this.
I don't hate Jarrett as much as I do HHH but man give it a rest already. The King of The Mountain needs to find a new peak and really not get involved with the world title this quickly. AMW joining forces with Jarrett is interesting and I am not against it as it was pretty inevitable they were going down that road. It doesn't matter if they are heel or face they are a great tag-team.
The only disappointment is Jarrett with the title again. I think it is waaaay too soon for him to have it back. Raven really opened the possibilities for some great matches against a great number of guys who could make a name for themselves. I was really hoping for a Raven/Christopher Daniels feud for the title. Daniels is just champion material. I also feel that if a belt changes hands too frequently it cheapens the title and the wrestler(s) that hold it.

As I said in a previous post, when you are one of the owners, you can do whatever you want. Granted, Triple H will eventually beat Cena for the belt, but at least he took himself off tv for awhile. Jarrett won't even do that.

I, like canadianpitbull, don't hate Jarrett like so many seem to but I do feel like this was really a mistake. It was known from the beginning that Raven was only a temporary champ but for him to lose it back to Jarrett just makes his run seem so anticlimactic. And to have it change hands on a Border City Wrestling event...Why?

TNA is far from being a flop and should not be compared to the XFL in any way. We can only hope that this might be a set up for a Rhyno/Jarrett meeting and you cannot tell me that Rhyno will not take the title. (Unless Jarrett has a hand in it. ) I keep (for some reason) thinking it was a television decision they gave him the belt. Not saying that Raven could not push the company forward but I'm thinking they went with Jarrett because he was the logical choice for an old WCW'er to be seen at the big Oct 1st debut and to give a recognizable heel wrestler to the en masse of casual wrestling fans who only know WWE and WCW and will no doubt be checking this out. I could be wrong but one wonders if they are going for a bit of WCW nostalgia on the big night and wanted something for Jarrett to fight over with Sting or Nash or whomever they want to headline the show?

Jarrett probably needs to hold the title for the Spike debut. Casual fans can get into "hating" him more and will pull for the guys chasing him. Plus he's got better "name" recognition.

Or, maybe they gave him the title back so that on the debut on Spike!, they set it up for him to lose it...More people watching TNA seeing Jarrett finally fall to Nash or Sting or whoever. Just my 2 cents.

He should definitly lose it that night to jump-start things. But not to Nash. Sting winning would generate a lot of attention.

Damn I hate Slapnuts. Raven may be past his prime but at least he's awesome. I really hope Jarret drops the gold on the first show. What a shame for Raven. At least he didnt lose it to Jarret on the first show because it would probably be the only one I would watch!

Bound for Glory is supposed to be TNA's "Wrestlemania" so I doubt Jarrett is going to last past that.
I think what we're going to see happen is him dropping the belt to an incoming guy they have for the Spike debut or lose it back to Raven to establish him for the new fans.

I'm a fan of Jeff Jarrett's, I thought his WCW days had to be some of his best days. I loved the Slap Nuts comments, don't get me wrong... I want to see others get the push who are new and younger, but you need guys that have been on the scene for a good period of time. I won't see any of the PPV's, but the TNA IMPACT show will be my must watch program. I'm just glad to have another wrestling promotion to watch each and every week, the WWE has had a good run without another promotion taking a stab at the market. I would like to see JJ lose the belt on the new show to RAVEN or someone new who'll make a IMPACT right off the bat. In the end I'm excited about watching TNA more then WWE's Smackdown!

Does anyone (other than Jarrett and those drinking his Kool-Aid) honestly think Raven's less established than Jarrett? Believe me...most of the "marks" I know only remember Jarrett as a country singer, and recall Raven for being a hardcore hardass.

I don't think he is less established by a long shot, I have been a faithful follower of the man from the Bowery and feel he needed to keep the title longer. I really hope he gets it back, I was hoping to see Raven coming out October 1st with it. Besides you have to admit the guy is badass and he with that gold strapped around his waist looked like they were made for one another.
Raven will hopefully have his day back in the sun. We just have to wait until J-E-Double F J-A-Double R-E-Double T!!! Is done feeling great on top of his Chosen One- King Of A Mountian and moves on. ;D

I'd rather see Sting win the belt than Nash. Nash is too arrogant to lead the company. Sting is a team player, and he'll get over anyone who challenges him.
