Diamond Dallas Page's TNA tenure seems to have come to an abrupt end as several sources are reporting that he's through with the company. TNA officials were unhappy that DDP refused to put over Monty Brown without interference from the tag-team Phi-Delta Slam.
Seeing how Dusty Rhodes no longer books or has political power in TNA, that may have been one reason as to why DDP's TNA tenure has come to an end. DDP and Dusty Rhodes are real close and Page credits him for helping him become a star. Also, there really wasn't much left for DDP to do as he wasn't going to be the champion and he probably wouldn't want to be putting over people left and right.

I read that they decided that, as a cost-cutting measure, they would no longer use him. TNA is losing money at an alarming pace and DDP was simply no longer worth what they were having to pay him to appear.

I am disappointed DDP refused to put over Brown. For a wrestler who acts like he is old school and does what best for the business, Page is clearly showing he is in it for himself. Life must be rough when his buddies Bischoff and Rhodes are not there to push him.
Page is not the future of TNA or any other fed. He still has the stink of old WCW on him. He should be more like Terry Funk--you get your fair share of main events, but at the end of the day you put the young guys over. Just like the old guys put Page over.
