In news that will surprise many people, Jeff Jarrett recently spoke to The Rock regarding a TNA appearance later this year when his movie schedule allows. A well-placed TNA source tells us that Jarrett was very pleased with how talks went and there is a real belief that they can get him to come in for at least a one-shot deal. Of course there was that same belief with Hogan, even shooting an angle in Japan, but for whatever reason, that never came to pass. We'll have more on this as and when or if the situation develops further.

Isn't the Rock still under contract with the WWE. If that is the case, which I believe it is, I don't see Vince letting that one fly.

No....he really isn't.
It's been fairly publicized that the WWE alowed Rock's contract to run out little over a month ago, and Rock says he hasn't spoken to McMahon in a few months.

Why would Rock want to be on TNA? What does that do for him???
I predict the Rock's next movie will be huge, because he needs a break-out action film. His movies have done well, but they haven't been earth-shattering. We'll wait and see.

The box office on his films has diminished from movie to movie.
Scorpion King was lackluster, but I loved The Rundown...haven't seen Walking Tall or Be Cool.
As for what Rock would want with TNA...well...they would treat him like the Second Coming...he could even wrestle a fulltime schedule for them, since they only hold shows every two weeks with a PPV once a month, while still filming movies at MAYBE a diminished rate.
The biggest thing is that he couldn't do it for the money.

From what I heard The Rock's new movie "DooM" (based on the video game) is suppose to be very good if you just want to see him blow stuff up, and then blow more stuff up! As for the TNA appearance, I don't feel that it would happen. He's still listed as a RAW superstar on the WWE site, and they're still selling his merchandise. Also, in a recent interview he said he had accomplished everything and more in wrestling and will probably only show up at big WWE shows like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and the Royal Rumble.

Actually... there was also recent news that the WWE spoke to Rock and appologized for letting his contract expire and didn't realize what time it was. Both sides have said to have spoken and worked out new arrangements. So... I don't see him in TNA. Only more has-been WCWers comming down south for a while.

That would be interesting. But seeing Rock on TNA I highly doubt will happen. Vince will outbid TNA just for spite.
