Why do some of these people only stick around for a very short time? I'm sure money has something to do with it, but IMO, some of these people who never really had a break in the "Big 2" could really shine in TNA. Instead, TNA sells itself out by bringing in the Outsiders and Savage (AKA the seniors tour of wrestling). I like the Outsiders & Savage, but their time has come and gone. It's time to let some younger guys get over. I hope that's what they intend to do.

lex luger has been on at least 3 times that i am aware of
but to answer your question about why talent only stays around for one or 2 shows:
tna sometimes signs talent to one night contracts
that way tna gets known for having big talent show up and big surprises and the talent get a pay check and their face seen on tv
also for a guy like vader he was probably on a short break from japan and this way he made a little extra money here and maybe opened up some options for the future
