Has anyone else watched this match? I am trying to get other people's point of views. I think it is an awesome idea and I hope to see more of them in the furture.

Light years beyond the ladder match.
Why?
Suspension of disbelief.
Not about the spots...the spots are as contrived as they are in ladder matches...BUT, there's one HUGE thing.
Watch a ladder match...ANY ladder match...watch a guy climbig the ladder....VERY SLOWLY...unless he's on the other side of the ladder from the opponent trying to stop him.
Point is, the attempts to climb the ladder always looks bogus.
In Ultimate X, if a guy has a slow time getting to the prize, well, it looks realistic that he does...=P For the most part, they hustle to the prize when they're up there.
Again, the spots of the rope look contrived, yeah. but they do in a ladder match, too, so they're even on that one.

I like it for the most part. It's a little weird in the six sided ring but they've worked the kinks out from the first time they did it. I took like it better than a ladder match because the ladder match is a tired gimmick now.
I like that TNA has invented some new gimmicks and actually made cage matches seem important again.

Hey! Does ANYBODY have a GWF game version of the Ultimate X Match? The closest thing I've seen is a High Wire Match that was posted on one of the GWF links...If anyone would have a copy of such a match, contact me at: rico1165@yahoo.com.
Thanks,Rick McGrew
