Inaugural Supercard
Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, LA
40,000 plus packed the Superdome for the opening card of Mid-South wrestling...
"Wild" Bill Irwin beat "Bruiser" Bob Sweetan in the opening match, getting the duke after 4 straight BRONCO KICKS
Jake "The Snake" Roberts defeated Kendo Nagasaki in a bloody match...
some highlights:
~Early in the match Roberts rammed Nagasaki face first into the post
~Nagasaki escaped a DDT attempt
~Roberts busting Nagasaki wide open after several shots with a foriegn object
Junkyard Dog beat Matt Borne via DQ when Borne rammed JYD into the ringpost
In the Coal Miner's Glove Match "Cowboy" Bill Watts took the fight to "Big Cat: Ernie Ladd getting the win with the Oklahoma Stampede
Match Highlights:
~Watts first to get the glove, but Ladd lowblowed him to steal in and back hand him with it
~ Watts manages to survive the ASIAN SPIKE and CHOKE WITH ROPE
~ Watts stuns Ladd with a kick and nails him with the glove
The Wild Samoans w/Gen. Skandor Akbar beat the Rock N Roll Express when Sika pinned Robert Gibson after Akbar punching him with a chain followed by a Samoan Drop
Match Highlights:
~ Akbar nailed Ricky Morton in the back with a chair outside the ring
~ After Morton was busted open he finally managed to make a hot tag to Gibson
In the battle of the Hacksaws, Hacksaw Duggan beat Hacksaw Reed via DQ when Reed grew tired of Duggan's illegal tactics and took to brawling outside the ring and waffling Duggan with a chair to a huge pop from the crowd
Next up was the Tag Team Title Match, this by far was the match of the evening, two great teams gave the crowd its money's worth... in the end the Guerreros beat the Midnights to become the new Mid-South Tag Team Champions!
Match Highlights:
~ Chavo leaps from the turnbuckle only to meet Eaton's boot
~ Hector getting a close fall on Condrey with the BUTTERLY SUPLEX
~ Chavo pinning Condrey with the MOONSAULT BODYPRESS to capture the titles
Paul Orndorff & One Man Gang w/Gen. Skandor Akbar defeated D!ck Murdoch & Killer Karl Kox when Orndorff pinned Murdoch after the PILEDRIVER
and in the main event...
Ted DiBiase beat North American Champion Mr. Olympia with the FIGURE FOUR to win the title!
Next stop: Alexandria, LA

Great opening show, ACE, can't wait for this set to be available as I'm already jonesing for some replys of the famous feuds I grew up with...

thanks for the feedback Jerod...tonight I also held the tournys for PNW singles titles...Buddy Rose won the Heavyweight title and Bratt Wayne Sawyer won the TV gold
