I've read all the great LOW action that's been posted in the forums and I've gotten the itch to do my very own Memphis fed based off of Trav's work. Now comes the disclaimer part. I'm not very familiar with the Memphis wrestling scene. I grew up in NE Tennessee were JCP/Mid-Atlantic was king and I got to watch Continental on the local UHF channel. You probably see wrestlers roll into my Memphis fed that probably never wrestled there and you probably see other titles not regularly part of the promotion come through as well. For example...I might have Adrian Street defend the US junior heavyweight title in the area some. I know the US junior belt was defended in the Southeast/Continental area so I think it would be believable for the belt to be defended in the Memphis area as well.
Recognized titles are the Southern heavyweight title currently held by Jerry 'The King' Lawler; Southern tag titles currently held by The Fabulous Ones; and the Mid-America heavyweight title currently held by 'Macho Man' Randy Savage. The International title may show up later on but I think 2 singles titles are enough for right now. There will be two shows a week with the Saturday morning TV show used to promote the Monday night Coliseum show.
The write-ups won't be anything special due to time constraints but I do hope you enjoy reading the happenings in my fed.

Channel 3 Studios; Memphis, TN (08/01/2006)
...The show opens with footage of the last card from the Mid-South Coliseum. Jerry Lawler is locked in a Figure Four Leglock courtesy of AWA World Champion, Nick Bockwinkle. Lawler connects with a hard right hand that floors Bockwinkle and breaks the hold. A series of stiff right hands floors the World Champ. Lawler goes up top and delivers a second-rope fistdrop and drops down for the cover. 1...2...3!! Lawler has just pinned Bockwinkle! The last shot we see is 'The King' holding the AWA World title high as the fans are going wild before the opening credits roll...
...We come back from commercial with Lance Russell and Dave Brown behind the desk as always. Russell mentions Lawler winning the World title but says that Nick Bockwinkle has sent in a video tape and that Commissioner Eddie Marlin has received a letter from AWA President, Stanley Blackburn. Russell runs down today's show before introducing the reigning Southern heavyweight champion and for the time being, AWA World champion, Jerry 'The King' Lawler...
Lance Russell: King, we saw how the match went down Monday night and you have that shiny AWA belt strapped around your waist. But, let's roll Nick Bockwinkle's tape right now.
...The shot fades up on Nick Bockwinkle sitting backstage at the Coliseum. Bockwinkle has his forehead bandaged and is still drenched in sweat from his match...
Nick Bockwinkle: Jerry Lawler, what went down here tonight is a travesty. You stole my AWA World Championship and I want it back. See throwing punches has always been illegal and still is illegal in our great sport of professional wrestling. You may have pinned me, Jerry Lawler, but it was with an illegal move that everybody in the building saw. In fact, that biased referee should be fired and not allowed to ever hold a license again. Lawler, the organization that I proudly represent is the American Wrestling Association, not the American Boxing Association! And the belt that you stole from me is the World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship not the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship! Lawler, if you want to throw punches then become a boxer because everyone knows you'll never be the wrestler that I am! Lawler, I might throw a punch or two during a match but I never resort to throwing an illegal punch to win the match. No, Lawler, I finish my opponents off with a classic wrestling move like a sleeper hold or a figure four! Stanley Blackburn, I'm calling on you to do the right thing and that's disqualify Jerry Lawler and return my belt as soon as possible.
...We come back to the broadcast area where Eddie Marlin has joined Lance and Jerry...
Eddie Marlin: Lance...Jerry...I have read the letter AWA President, Stanley Blackburn, has sent me. He has agreed with Nick Bickwinkle and has disqualified 'The King' for excessive use of illegal punches. However, he has mandated that Nick Bockwinkle will defend that World title against you, Jerry Lawler, Monday night at the Mid-South Coliseum and that the disqualification rule has been waived for this one match. I'm sorry Jerry but I have to take the belt back.
Jerry Lawler (handing back the AWA belt): Nick Bockwinkle, you've played your hand and now, you've played right into mine. No disqualification means Randy Calhoun can't disqualify me for using the piledriver on you Bockwinkle or throwing this here right hook. I'm not gonna wrestle you, Nick Bockwinkle. No, I'm gonna fight you and at the end of the night, I'll walk out the AWA World Champ just like I did last Monday night.
1. In the opening bout, Jeff Jarrett defeats Ken Raper with a Flying Body Press. During the match, Tommy Rich joined Lance and Dave at the broadcast table for commentary. Lance makes mention of Rich's match with the younger Jarrett Monday night. Afterwards, Rich approaches the ring and shakes Jarrett's hand and says 'May the best man win, Monday night' before walking out of the frame as we go to a commercial.
...Back to the broadcast table where Lance has Ricky and Robert, The Rock 'n' Roll Express...
Ricky Morton: Monday night, daddy, me and Robert battle Tojo Yamamoto and Eddie Gilbert. I hope your ready for a war because a war is what you're going to get boys. Rock 'n' Roll Express is going to take it to you. Rock 'n' Roll is here to stay just like the R 'n' R Express, baby!
2. The Rock 'n' Roll Express beat Rough and Ready with the Double Dropkick. Afterwards, Tojo Yamamoto and Eddie Gilbert charge the ring but are sent flying from the ring with a Double Dropkick from the R n' R Express before we cut to a commercial.
...We come back from commercial and Jimmy Hart and Dream Machine has joined our broadcast duo.
Jimmy Hart: Lance Russell, I've promised 'Machine here a tag team partner worthy of his talents to battle those Fabulous Jerks Monday night for the Southern tag belts. And boy, have I delivered!! Machine, I went to the Big Apple for this guy. Dream, your partner is none other than 'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant!!
3. 'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant defeats Robert Reed with the Valiant Sleeper. Afterwards, Valiant continues the assault with Dream Machine's help before Jackie Fargo and The Fabulous Ones chase the heels away.
...Afterwards, Jackie Fargo and The Fabulous Ones have a few words for Dream Machine and 'Handsome' Jimmy...
Jackie Fargo: Monday night, my boys, The Fabulous Ones, are going to keep those Southern tag titles! Jimmy Hart, it doesn't matter who you throw at The Fabs, you're not going to beat them. And Jimmy, if you stick your nose in the match, I'm gonna break it!
...A still frame is shown listing the matches scheduled for the next Coliseum show...
AWA World Championship: Nick Bockwinkle (c) vs Jerry 'The King' Lawler Southern Tag Team Championship: The Fabulous Ones (c) w/ Jackie Fargo vs Dream Machine/'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant w/ Jimmy Hart Mid-America Champ, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage/Buddy Landell w/ Angelo Poffo vs Dutch Mantell/Austin Idol New Zealand Sheepherders vs The Moondogs The Rock 'N' Roll Express vs Tojo Yamamoto/'Hotstuff' Eddie Gilbert Jeff Jarrett vs Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich

4. In another wild match, Mid America heavyweight champion, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell w/ Angelo Poffo beat 'Dirty' Dutch Mantell and Austin Idol via disqualification after Mantell was caught hitting Savage with Shoo Baby. Idol had Landell locked in the La$ Vega$ Leglock as Savage tried to save his partner. Mantell charges the ring and catches Savage with Shoo Baby causing the dq.
5. Dream Machine and 'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant w/ Jimmy Hart defeat The Fabulous Ones w/ Jackie Fargo to win the Southern tag team titles. As the action got hot and heavy, Hart distracts Randy Calhoun and tosses Machine a chain. Machine blasts Stan Lane with the chain. Valiant locks on the Valiant Sleeper as Calhoun turns around. Calhoun checks Lane and calls for the bell. Afterwards, Jimmy Hart celebrates like he's just won the lottery.
6. In the main event, AWA World heavyweight champion, Nick Bockwinkle retains the belt after blasting Jerry 'The King' Lawler with a chain-assisted right hook. Lawler is in control as Jimmy Hart comes to ringside and tries to get in the ring. As Randy Calhoun is trying to get Hart down from the ring apron, Hart tosses a chain to Bockwinkle setting up the finish.

Memphis #9; Channel 3 Studios; Memphis, TN (08/29/2006)
...We start the action-packed hour with highlights from Monday's card at the Coliseum before cutting to the broadcast table with Lance and Dave. Before bringing out his first guest of the show, Lance announces that 'Beautiful' Bobby Eaton has been sidelined for 2 weeks with a neck injury, thanks to a piledriver from Randy Savage at Monday's night show. Lance brings out Jerry Jarrett and the Rock 'n' Roll Express...
Jerry Jarrett: Time is counting down Tommy Rich...Eddie Gilbert...Tojo Yamamoto...Time is counting down to one of you leaving Memphis for 60 days...If you haven't guessed it by now, we accept your demands...Tommy, you hurt my boy...Eddie, you hurt me...And Tojo, you're just in the way...One of you will leave and Tommy...I'd bet my last dollar, its gonna be you...
Ricky Morton: Me and Robert will be taking care of Eddie and Tojo while Jerry gets his hands on 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich...And one thing you can beat on...Jerry Jarrett and the R 'n' R Express are in Memphis to stay, baby...
1. In the opening bout, 'Dirty' Dutch Mantell beats Rooster Cogburn with the Double Dutch Clutch. However, the big story is 'Macho Man' Randy Savage comes out to ringside and steals 'Shoo Baby' and Dutch's cowboy hat. This causes enough of a distraction that almost leads to Cogburn scoring a huge upset. Dutch quickly comes back and locks on the DDC for the win. Afterwards, Dutch races to the back and chases Savage to the parking lot but Savage jumps into a car driven by Angelo Poffo.
...We're back from commercial and Lance has 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell at the broadcast table...
Buddy Landell: Shut up, Lance Russell and let me talk...Austin Idol...It's just like you to cheapshot me...You're nothing but a cheapshot artist...You're making a career of it...Idol, you want a finishers match then fine I accept...I'm gonna break your leg in several little pieces and it will take the entire lockerroom to pull me off you when you pass out from the pain...Jackie Fargo...Don't think I've forgotten about you...This week I'm gonna make you suffer and that you can take to the bank...
2. 'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant toys with Freezer Thompson as Jimmy Hart makes a general nuisance of himself at ringside. Valiant uses the distraction to smash Thompson with one of the Southern tag titles before putting Thompson out with the Valiant Sleeper. Afterwards, Jerry Lawler races out and clocks Jimmy Hart with the Southern title. This brings The Russian Bear out who blasts Lawler with his Russian chain. The First Family continues to pound on Lawler until Bill Dundee and The Fabulous Ones make the save.

...Back from commercial, an angry 'Dirty' Dutch Mantell joins Lance and Dave at the broadcast table...
Dutch Mantell: Randy Savage...Angelo Poffo...you're both in a world of hurt...That you can count on...If it takes a match to get 'Shoo Baby' back then fine, I'll take her back in a match...But Savage keep the hat, I'll never wear it again because it's touched your stinking, filthy head...Savage, you're in for the beatings of your life the next two weeks...I'm gonna take 'Shoo Baby' back and then I'm gonna take that Mid-America championship from you too...

Memphis #11; Labor Day Brawl; Mid-South Coliseum; Memphis, TN (09/07/2006)
1. The Fabulous Ones beat The Midnight Express for a shot at the Southern tag titles after a Superkick on Norvell Austin by Stan Lane. Afterwards, the third Express member, Dennis Condrey hits the ring and all 3 of The Express beat The Fabs so bad that Lane and Keirn had to be stretchered out of the building and taken to a local hospital. Afterwards, Eddie Marlin announces that as much as it pains him to do so, The Midnight Express will face Dream Machine and 'Handsome' Jimmy for the Southern tag titles later in the show.
2. The New Zealand Sheeperherders and The Moondogs brawl all over the building in a wild and bloody affair. A combined 14 pin tokens for all four men as The Sheepherders win the match after Luke Williams hits Moondog Spot with the Battering Ram.
3. United States junior heavyweight champion, 'Exotic' Adrian Street, retains his title over Jeff Jarrett after 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich belts Jarrett with a pair of brass knux as Miss Linda had the referee distracted. Street locks on the London Bridge Leglock to retain the belt. Jarrett looked very good in his first match back in about a month on the injured list. Jarrett caught Street twice the Flying Body Press but Miss Linda was able to cause distractions both times to prevent the pinfall. Afterwards, Jarrett gets the house mike and let's Street know that he's gonna beat Street for the belt very soon. He also lets Tommy Rich know he's 100% healthy and gunning for 'Mr Wildfire'.
4. In the Loser of the Fall Leaves Memphis for 60 Days match, Tojo Yamamoto/Eddie Gilbert/Tommy Rich beat Jerry Jarrett/Rock 'n' Roll Express after Eddie Gilbert pins Ricky Morton of the R 'n' R Express with the Hotshot. An exciting brawl throughout as it looked as if Tommy Rich would be the one to say goodbye to Memphis after racking up 4 pin tokens in the first 5 minutes of the match. Rich eventually makes the tag to Yamamoto and things start to swing the heels way. As the match winds down, all 6 men are brawling in the ring when Jeff Jarrett comes down and goes after Tommy Rich with a steel chair. However, instead of hitting Rich, Jarrett hits Morton instead causing Morton to stumble into Gilbert's Hotshot for the finish. Afterwards, Jeff Jarrett apoligizes to Morton but Morton pushes him away and stalks to the back.
5. In the Finisher's Match, 'Universal Hearthrob' Austin Idol forces 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell to submit with the La$ Vega$ Leglock. As Landell was on his way to the ring, Idol attacks him in the aisle setting the tone for the rest of the match. Landell never seems to get going in the match as Idol works Landell over. Landell mounts a comeback but that's put to rest by a big clothesline from Idol. From there, Idol weakens Landell with a sleeper and finally locks on the LVL for the win.
6. Mid-America heavyweight champion, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage retains his belt over 'Dirty' Dutch Mantell with the Flying Elbow Smash after Phil Hickerson attacks Mantell as Mantell has Savage locked in the Double Dutch Clutch. Savage had collided with Angelo Poffo and Mantell locks in the DDC as referee Randy Calhoun checks on Poffo. Hickerson comes out of the crowd and nails Mantell with a cowbell to set up the finish.
7. In the semi-main event for the Southern tag titles, The Midnight Express beat Dream Machine/'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant via disqualification after The Fabulous Ones charge the ring and laid out The Midnight Express with steel chairs. The Fabs then turned their attention on the Southern tag champs and laid them out as well. Afterwards with the fans roaring their approval, The Fabs challenged both teams to a Triple Threat Match for the Southern tag titles in the near future.
8. In the main event for the Southern title, The Russian Bear defeated Jerry 'The King' Lawler in a Russian chain match to win the Southern heavyweight title. Bloody, bloody brawl that saw Lawler uses the chain on Jimmy Hart who had to be carried to the back on a stretcher. Lawler had the upperhand the entire match as Russian Bear bled profusely through his mask. Lawler made the mistake of turning his attention to Hart and allowed Russian Bear to nail the champ with a vicious lariat out of nowhere. Bear drags Lawler to the corner and wraps the chain around Lawler's head several times. Bear climbs the buckles and rides Lawler to the mat with a Top Rope Kneedrop to win the match and the title. Afterwards, Russian Bear continues his assault on Lawler as Bear sings the Russian national anthem nearly inciting a riot. Austin Idol and Dutch Mantell finally race to the ring to save Lawler from a further beating.
*Note: For the Russian chain match, I used the rules for a Dog Collar match I found on one of the Yahoo Groups.

Dutch Mantell runs out and attacks Hickerson from behind but Fuller nails Mantell with his Loaded Boot. Mantell is down as Fuller/Hickerson stomp away on him before Pat Rose drags Mantell to safety. Afterwards, Fuller/Hickerson walk over to Lance and Dave.

NeilyBob
I read all the Memphis history on the Kayfabe Memories website and watched some of the Memphis footage on Youtube, etc. I'm sure a lot of my feuds/storylines will be loosely based off of real Memphis action. I'm having so much fun playing my Memphis fed right now, I haven't touched my GWF 2119 fed in over 2 months.
I like the freedom of my Memphis fed as compared to my GWF fed. There's always someone out there you can put a mask on, storm into the territory, and try to put Jerry Lawler out of wrestling.
Hope that helps.
