After a short hiatus, the LWF has their TV coverage back. In order to generate fan interest, a tournament is being held to determine the #1 contender to the LWF Heavyweight title and to introduce fans to some new arrivals.
L-1 Tournament day 1: Don Leo Jonathan lost to Steve Williams via the Oklahoma Stampede in a brutal encounter. Ray Stevens upset Strangler Lewis with the Bombs Away. Rikidozan beat Dan Severn with the Hiplock. Konnan lost to DDP after a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere. Masked Superstar lost to Curt Hennig after a Hennigplex. Don Muraco lost to Nick Bockwinkel after a Bockwinkel Sleeper. Frank Gotch made Larry Hennig tap out to the Gotch Toehold Ivan Koloff beat Sabu with the Russian Bear Hug.
L-1 Tournament day 2: Brad Armstrong lost to Steve Corino via the Old School Expulsion Mad Dog Vachon lost to Killer Kowalski after the Kowalski Klaw. Destroyer lost to Cowboy Bob Orton after the Superplex. Antonio Inoki destroyed Rick Rude with the Enzuigiri Johnny Valentine lost to Larry Zbyscko by DQ Mil Mascaras narrowly defeated Bullet Bob Armstrong with the Crossbody Attack Bob Orton Sr. beat the Crusher with a Piledriver Ted DiBiase beat Ilio DiPaolo with the Figure Four Leglock

Ray Stevens defeated the Crusher via BOMBS AWAY?
Ironically, on the card I posted last night, Ray Stevens defeated the Crusher via BOMBS AWAY and I also considered that an upset. Perhaps Stevens as a singles wrestler is going to be even better than I thought.

L-1 day 3: Mil Mascaras beat Killer Kowalski with the Crossbody Attack Frank Gotch lost to Nick Bockwinkel via the Figure Four Leglock. Gotch and Bockwinkel had heated words after the match. Steve Corino submitted to Ted DiBiase's Figure Four Leglock. Bob Orton Sr. lost to Ivan Koloff via the Russian Bearhug Larry Z beat Curt Hennig with a Piledriver. Hennig pummelled the referee after the match. Antonio Inoki lost to Steve Williams after the Doctor bomb. Cowboy Bob Orton beat Ray Stevens with the Superplex. DDP lost to Rikidozan after the Thunderous Chops.
L-1 Day 4: Rikidozan demolished Larry Z with the Thunderous Chops Mil Mascaras beat Ivan Koloff by DQ after being hit with the Russian Chain Nick Bockwinkel lost to Ted DiBiase via the Figure Four Leglock Steve Williams beat Cowboy Bob Orton with the Oklahoma Stampede
Ted DiBiase beat Mil Mascaras with the Figure Four Leglock Steve Williams lost to Rikidozan in an absolutely brutal match after a surprise Hiplock. Rikidozan was visibly favoring his neck after the match.
Ted DiBiase lost to Rikidozan after a scoop slam in the finals.
In a ceremony honoring Rikidozan, Ted DiBiase and Steve Williams attacked him from behind, bloodying him with the trophy. DiBiase hit him with the loaded glove and Williams gave him the back drop driver outside the ring before Antonio Inoki could make the save.

LWF Legendary TV 6.1
The announcers welcome the fans back and announce that due to rising costs, PPV's will be less frequent this year.
In the opening match Chris Candido and Danny Doring lost to the debuting Kangaroos, with Doring tapping out to the STF.
Ivan Koloff demolished Cousin Luke, pinning him following a leg drop.
Steve Williams mauled S.D. Jones, winning with the Oklahoma Stampede. Fans were hoping for a Backdrop Driver but didn't get to see it.
In a L-1 rematch, Larry Z lost to Curt Hennig after a Standing Dropkick. The two will meet again next week.
In another L-1 rematch, Strangler Lewis defeated Ray Stevens with the Strangler's Headlock.
Frank Gotch came from behind and beat Nick Bockwinkel with the Gotch Toe Hold. Both men are gunning for Jim Londos and the LWF Heavyweight title.
United States champion Bruiser Brody beat Cowboy Bob Orton in less than a minute with a backbreaker and the Jumping Knee Drop.
In the main event, Ted DiBiase lost to Antonio Inoki by DQ. It looked like Inoki had DiBiase pinned with the belly to back suplex when Steve Williams hit the ring and attacked Inoki. This brought out Giant Baba, who got into a staredown with Williams until being clipped from behind by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The show went off the air with Williams and Duggan double-teaming Inoki while DiBiase had Baba locked in the figure four.

LWF Legendary TV 6.2
The Armstrongs lost to the Dream Team via a Figure Four Leglock on Brad.
Larry Hennig beat Ox Baker with the Axe.
Ted DiBiase beat Koko B. Ware with the Figure Four Leglock.
Jim Londos was interviewed and was challenged for the LWF Heavyweight title by Buddy Rogers. Rogers and Londos will meet next week for the LWF Heavyweight title.
Larry Z lost to Curt Hennig with the Sleeper Hold.
Crusher lost to Rick Rude after the Rude Awakening.
Antonio Inoki lost to Hacksaw Jim Duggan after the Flying Spear. DiBiase and Williams distracted Inoki, allowing Duggan to hit the spear and get the win.
LWF Tag Team champions the Road Warriors retained the titles over the Flying Redheads after a Doomsday Device on Bastien.
In the main event, Steve Williams got a big win over Giant Baba, hitting the Backdrop Driver and winning with the Doctor Bomb.

LWF Legendary TV 6.3
Don Leo Jonathan & Jimmy Snuka lost to Harley Race and Larry Hennig after an Axe on DLJ.
Ivan Koloff destroyed S.D. Jones with the Russian Bear Hug.
Eaton & Condrey defeated the Killer Bees with the Rocket Launcher.
Strangler Lewis defeated Ray Stevens with the Strangler's Headlock. After the match, he challenged the winner of Londos vs. Rogers to face him for the LWF Heavyweight title.
Ted DiBiase beat Giant Baba with the Figure Four Leglock. After the match, a huge brawl errupted between DiBiase, Duggan, Williams, Inoki, Baba, and the returning Rikidozan. It took twenty minutes for security to clear the ring.
In a hard-fought match with many near-falls, Jim Londos retained the LWF Heavyweight title against Buddy Rogers, winning with an Airplane Spin. Both men received standing ovations from the crowd after the match.
Frank Gotch lost to Nick Bockwinkel in two straight falls. Bockwinkel took the first fall with a Piledriver and the second with a knee smash to the back. Gotch refused to shake Bockwinkel's hand after the loss and left through the crowd.
Next week: Londos gives Lewis an answer DiBiase, Williams, & Duggan vs. Inoki, Baba, & Rikidozan

The Vachons lost to the Kangaroos after Mad Dog submitted to the STF.
Frank Gotch made short work of S.D. Jones, winning with the Gotch Toe Hold
Crusher beat Cousin Luke with the bear hug
Jimmy Valiant lost to Curt Hennig after the Hennigplex
Johnny Valentine lost to Rick Rude after Rude Awakening
Jim Londos came out and said he'd face the winner of Strangler Lewis vs. Nick Bockwinkel for the title next week.
Nick Bockwinkel lost to Strangler Lewis after the Strangler's Headlock.
United States champion Bruiser Brody beat Sabu with a Jumping Knee Drop to retain the title.
In a brutal six-man tag, DiBiase, Williams, and Duggan lost to Antonio Inoki, Giant Baba, and Rikidozan when Duggan was counted out. All six men brawled around the ring area and into the crowd after the match as the show went off the air.

LWF Legendary TV 6.5
The show opened with Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens in the ring. Bockwinkel said he was ready to take on the top tag teams in the LWF and had the perfect partner, Ray Stevens.
The Armstrongs lost to Bockwinkel & Stevens after a Bockwinkel Sleeper on Bullet Bob. B&S functioned wells as a team.
Chris Candido lost to Bob Orton Sr. after a Piledriver.
DDP beat Rick Rude with the Diamond Cutter.
Dan Severn lost to Curt Hennig after the HennigPlex.
Mil Mascaras was overwhelmed by Ivan Koloff, submitting to the Russian Bear Hug. Koloff was smiling uncharacteristically when he left the ring.
LWF Heavyweight champion Jim Londos retained the title against Strangler Lewis, winning with the Airplane Spin. After the match, Ivan Koloff attacked Londos from behind and busted him open with the chain. He hung Londos with the chain over the ropes. Security chased Koloff away and freed Londos, who had to be stretchered out.
DiBiase & Williams beat Baba & Rikidozan after a Figure Four Leglock on Rikidozan. After the match, DiBiase challenged Rikidozan, Inoki, and Baba to face his team in a barbed wire cage elimination match in three weeks.

Curt Hennig beat S.D. Jones with the Axe.
Dr. Death mauled Cousin Luke, winning with the Backdrop Driver. After the match, Dr. Death demanded a match with Bruiser Brody for the United States title.
Frank Gotch beat Sabu with the Gotch Toe Hold after a botched Triple Jump Moonsault.
Strangler Lewis lost to Dan Severn after a Wakigatame. After the match, Lewis claimed it was a fluke and challenged Severn to a rematch.
Steve Corino lost to Jusin Credible after a superkick.
LWF Heavweight champion Jim Londos defeated Ivan Koloff with the Airplane Spin to retain the title. After the match, Koloff demanded a rematch, saying he has a win over Londos. This brought out Rikidozan, who was awarded a title shot at Londos which he has never received. Koloff and Rikidozan brawled into the crowd as the show went off the air.

DDP lost to Curt Hennig after the Hennig Plex.
Frank Gotch beat Strangler Lewis with the Gotch Toe Hold in an extraordinary match that saw the lockerroom watching from the ramp.
United States champion Bruiser Brody lost to Dr. Death Steve Williams by DQ. Brody had Williams beaten with the Jumping Knee Drop until Ted DiBiase interferred. An enraged Brody repeated slammed Williams head into the ringpost until he was DQed.

I like the Brody-Williams feud! In my fed I actually have Brody and Williams teaming together right now in a feud with the Road Warriors. But having Brody and Williams wrestle each other is great!

Sabu beat Danny Doring with the Triple Jump Moonsault.
