The next LWF Pay-Per-View event will be Summertime Bruise, to be held on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Titles, personal pride and more will be at stake here!
DARK MATCH:
The KILLER BEES (Blair & Brunzell) & GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT vs. The DREAM TEAM (Beefcake & Valentine) & COWBOY D!CK HUTTON
--Should be an entertaining warmup for the fans, with an intriguing mix of wrestlers from Monday Night Rumble and Friday Night Fever.
HARDCORE MATCH:
OX BAKER vs. ABDULLAH The BUTCHER
--Neither man is afraid of a bloodbath; with Abdullah Farouk holding the reins of the "Madman From Sudan," anything can happen!
LWF WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE REMATCH:
Champion DANNY HODGE vs. SHAWN MICHAELS
--Hodge has been having problems in the Heavyweight division; hopefully for him, he'll be more in his element against Michaels as rumors swirl around the status of the Junior Heavyweight division.
HANDICAP MATCH:
ANDRE The GIANT vs. The EAST-WEST CONNECTION
--As punishment for their role in the injury to Hulk Hogan prior to his last World Title Match against Superstar Graham, LWF Fever GM Gorilla Monsoon put Adonis & Ventura in a handicap match. The bad news? It's against the "Eighth Wonder Of The World."
AMERICAN TAG TEAM TITLE STEEL CAGE MATCH:
The FREEBIRDS vs. AFA The SAMOAN & CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO
--After Sika injured Terry Gordy last week on TV, LWF Rumble GM Bill Watts decreed that Albano must team with Afa against Hayes & Roberts inside the cage for the vacant titles. Many are saying that the 'Birds will finally get the gold belts.
SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHALLENGE:
The FLYING REDHEADS & BUDDY ROGERS vs. The VALIANT BROTHERS & MAGNIFICENT MURACO
--The Redheads, Bastein & Lyons, and Rogers have all had their problems with Bobby Heenan's men, and, even though the Valiants' National Tag Team belts are not on the line, the Redheads will be out to show that the Valiants aren't rid of them yet.
CASKET MATCH:
FREDDIE BLASSIE vs. GORGEOUS GEORGE
--George has shown an uncharacteristic vicious streak as of late when it comes to the "Vampire" of wrestling, going to the extent of closing him up inside a locked casket on live TV. Blassie will be looking for revenge against the "Human Orchid."
TAG TEAM CHALLENGE:
The CRUSHER & The ROCK vs. NICK BOCKWINKEL & RAY STEVENS
--Apparently, Heenan had been trying to bring the "Crippler" to the LWF for some time, and he and his proteges unleashed their fury on the former American Champion Rock. However, Rock has dug into the Heenan duo's past and brought out a tag team partner in Crusher, who knows Nick & Ray's every move.
AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:
Champion RIC FLAIR vs. MIL MASCARAS
--Flair's unbeaten streak came to an end on TV against the high-flying Luchador, but can Flair regroup against the former World Champion?
LWF WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE REMATCH--NO DQ:
Champions The FABULOUS KANGAROOS vs. TRINITY
--This should be another great international battle between the two duos. The World Champions could have the edge with manager Red Berry in their corner, but Baba & Inoki have shown in the past they're not afraid to fight fire with fire.
LWF MAIN EVENT--WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE STEEL CAGE MATCH:
Champion SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM vs. HULK HOGAN
--Sensational Sherri shoudln't be a factor this time, nor should anyone else. Hogan seems to have Graham right where he wants him; will things finally go Hogan's way in a big match?
Be on the lookout for changes in LWF TV, beginning the Monday night after Summertime Bruise.
